Pain is personal. So is the path forward.

Pain isn’t just about tissues or body parts. It’s a whole-person experience shaped by your body, mind, relationships, environment, and life experiences.

That’s why I wanted to share this downloadable Pelvic Pain Worksheet.

It’s designed to help you zoom out, get curious, and map the many factors that may be influencing your pain experience. Sometimes seeing the bigger picture can reveal new opportunities for healing, self-compassion, and meaningful change.

There isn’t one “right” answer. This is about exploring your story.

Download the worksheet and start mapping your own solar system of pain and perseverance.

I’d love to hear what insights you discover along the way. Share them in the comments below.

Sometimes I have an erection when I wake up, but my penis hurts. The pain feels like muscle pain or tension, but only in the shaft of the penis. Is that pain benign?

Dr. Susie Gronski - Doctor of Physical Therapy

I’m unable to say whether that pain is benign or something that needs further investigation, but persistent pain anywhere in the genital area should be checked out. I’d recommend checking in with your doctor and/or local pelvic health therapist to help determine what may be causing it.
