This movie was so much fun though hehe I'm so glad it was winning when I went to go film this. In case you missed my message in the chat though, this movie and the spider-man one kept taking turns when it came to who was winning the poll so my extra movie a month for this tier will be that one... you're welcome. You're like Hannah Montana getting the best of both worlds (you greedy bastards)

I'm guessing that most of the family voted that Marta shouldn't be a the funeral, but they're all saying that they voted in favor of her. Also it seems most of the family doesn't know where Marta is from. Someone says Paraguay, another says Uruguay, then Ecuador. Then Ransom calls her Brazilian. The house is designed in the Queen Anne architectural style by the way since you asked.

I never noticed on my first watch how Blanc says dogs are a good judge of character then the next scene we see the dogs barking at lil' Stevie 👏

I love the subtle foreshadowing when Harlan says 25% into the movie to Marta that Ransom is “confident, stupid… playing life like a game, without consequence… until you can't tell the difference between a stage prop and a real knife,” and Ransom makes that very mistake of distinction when attempting to mortally wound Marta. A lot of the shots and dialogue in this movie are very intentional, if subtle. I love how during the 1st act of the movie you don't really know what you think of Ransom, other than that he's likely more problematic than the rest of the family. But then by the 2nd act, you really begin to take a shine towards Ransom and think he's a little less atrocious than the rest of the family, in his own deranged way (after all, Harlan did admit he saw a lot of himself in Ransom, which implied that if he [Harlan] could have grown out of his immaturity and puerility, so could Ransom; maybe Ransom has the makings of greatness in him after all). Then by the final act, his affability is waning and it's actually revealed how garbage a person he truly is committed to being. Again, the movie messes with you by way of its subtleties, but upon a rewatch, it really is satisfying how many little remarks sound less innocuous or how many brief shots are either humorous façades or brief clues.
