Chris Hemsworth has quite a gift for comedy. This film was a delightful surprise when it released and it's yet another stop on Loki's big, beautiful character arc. Also, I totally had Whataburger for lunch. Bit of a coincidence, that. 🤣

The bloopers for this movie are hilarious too. Canonically The Grandmaster and The Collector (Benicio del Toro's weird, white haired character from the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie) are brothers.

This was my favourite movie when it came out nearly 10 years ago 😭. I was 17 at the time and I remember watching it like 7 times in theatres. Especially because being from NZ, Taika put a lot of Kiwi icons in this movie. We were represented on the world stage. Also being African, and BP right after this one, double the representation. I'm glad you enjoyed this!!!

Last thing: If you're ever interested in what a significant portion of this plot was based on, try reading the Planet Hulk storyline. This movie is good but it doesnt get anywhere close to the peaks of Planet Hulk. They basically took a Hulk story and turned it into a Thor movie. Which I do think made for a good movie! But I would have LOVED to see this storyline adapted more faithfully and maybe have the Thor plot be a separate movie. But of course with the rights to the Hulk having been in such turmoil with Universal and everything it was never gonna happen unfortunately.

Fun fact: You are not the only one thirsty, when you look at Thor. He is as well. The way they look like that is, of course a lot of training, but then not drinking any liquids for a day, so they do not have any water weight. It fucking sucks and they all hate doing it.
