If there is one thing I actually enjoy about this volume is seeing a bit more of Kusakabe. Because the first time we actually get some of him, a bit earlier on, I didn't much care for him, but he is genuinely pretty interesting to contrast everyone else. He is a coward, and maybe i can respect that. That being said, I do love this volume, but I can't enjoy all the heartbreak and pain. The twins are so tragic. They just wanted to save their dad. And it breaks my heart because these are the two girls that were the last drop for Geto, the two girls he wanted to protect just as much, and they gave their lives for him.

Thank you for being patient as I got back to these comments! I agree, I love that we get Kusakabe in this volume! He definitely has grown on me! The heartbreak of this volume is PALPABLE, though, and we’re nowhere near done! The twinnnssss…ugh! I really feel for them and their demise; they just wanted to honor their father figure – “the last drop for Geto” – ugh, that hurts! Thank you for the comment! I’m VERY excited for Volume 14! 😀
