This episode and the episodes before it are just like you described - nostalgic and trying to set bigger things up. It does remind me of Steins;gate and how it also started with setting things up and moving towards the chaos, literal 0 to 100, therefore i feel like here too we can expect some chaos to the max, i just hope everyone comes out well from it.. i feel super sad for Okabe, one thing is being sad and considered heartbroken from his actions but every single time anyone mentions either Kurisu or her death, the scene was saw by the end of the episode is how he gets.. really heartbreaking to see. I've been thinking about Maho/Okabe thing they're trying to develop or get across? i don't know the proper word for it but i feel two things after watching this episode as well. 1. I realized what it is that i disliked about it. in a "perfect" world where everyone went through a lot and survived, in a world where there is no AI Makise, the two would be quite the shippable material, coming across each other, building it up, helping Okabe through it, but every time i see AI makise trying to get the two together or something of sorts, it makes me uncomfy.. I can imagine that actual Kurisu, the one that had such a hard time saying goodbye and even came back to confess her feelings, would not quite enjoy this whole situation and just simply would not be putting anyone with the man she likes (i just remembered Rukako's dating episode and her being jealous haha), but this AI something they came up with is doing all things she would not want. those sorts of forced things make my uncomfortable (AI in general makes me uncomfortable in this world lol).. 2. i haven't watched as much anime as you have (have to get to everything in your playlist/collection), therefore hopefully you get what i'm talking about but you know how there might be one romantic interest but protagonists might have a soft spot for others where even by their facial expression you can see they care even for the words that the other says? that's how you mostly know there's something and Okabe? literal zero on that.. on the other hand Maho? girlie definitely is crushing super hard and hopefully just for her sake, something might happen. I am so super sorry i'm rambling about ships when this show is so much more than that haha,, but as we have already established the anime that doesn't mainly focuses on romance has one of the best written romances ever, like I genuinely started asking around what non-romantic anime to watch that would have such a good build up on a relationship (i was recommended 86 so i'm starting that through your reactions as well). basically, call me super impressed. looking forward to the next episodes!!

Oh, yeah, this episode has some weird bits in it that I did not remember; which, honestly, I think speaks of good the rest of it is, because I watched this early on in my anime journey when I was much less acquainted with anime shenanigans and this was a blip compared with the rest of the story. Weird way to find comfort with those honestly uncomfortable scenes, but hey, I'll take it xD Finally we have more on the laptop! I remembered that plot dropping a lot sooner than it obviously does. I've never shipped Maho and Okabe, but I do love the bonding they do over Kurisu. They both understood her in slightly different ways, and getting to know someone who saw other shades of the person that meant so much to you is truly one of my favorite tropes. Maho is such a good friend, giving Okabe space to share all the things that she knows well and good he's hiding at his own pace. Of course, she had no idea they were things that were so important, but it's sweet of her to be so understanding. And, I mean, Okabe's clearly torn state about things probablt helped her to be gentle and patient. P.S. I've been watching all the reactions over these past couple of weeks and really enjoying them (not only on this show but some of the others you are currently reacting to as well), and just wanted to mention that my drop in commenting was just born of a terribly busy and difficult April and then a sad May. But I'm back! Honestly, your reactions kept me company in some dark times, thank you for bein such a constant with super interesting discussions and fun reactions <333

Hello Could you plz edit the part in the beginning about the fact that like S;G , these episodes are setting up things and you expect chaos from 0 to 100 ? Romania wouldn’t want to have any hints about how things may turn up and would rather discover it Also i m a Okabe Kurisu shipper to the max… i like Maho but nah girl, stay away plz 😁

Hii, a misunderstanding ✨ thanks for replying but these are also my assumptions, i’m watching Steins;gate 0 with Romania, i haven’t seen it before so i couldn’t spoil even if i wanted to haha )) thanks for looking out for her anyways, that is so nice! ❤️ So far, i seem to be Kurisu/Okabe shipper as well!! They’re amazing!

It honestly isn’t enough, like you said, to make me dissuaded from the series - just an odd, uncomfortable blip, indeed. And yes, more on the laptop, finally! It does make me VERY nervous, of course! I like the ship of Okabe and Maho in THIS world line, but above all else, I love that they both miss and harbor a love for Kurisu – bonding over the loss of the woman each of them love in different - and, ahem, maybe similar ways? Here for it. Maho is a good friend, indeed! And Okabe is caring to try and help her as well; we love to see the growth in Okabe in this series!
