Loved the reaction and discussion! The art, and especially the lighting was so beautiful in this! 🥰 “Maybe they’re just good friends!” 😆 I really love the way this showed the evolution of their dynamic. And that we see Wayne as one who is smitten first, in a sense. I love works where the more outwardly emotional/"smiley" person is actually more reserved when it comes to deeper emotions. Now themes of resistance? 😆 Of course! And what I’m gonna highlight is this: I love the way ‘resistance’ here is them getting the fuck out of the place where the people, who were supposed to love and care for them, decided to abandon them, and that the two boys started their own life elsewhere. Often, that is the only way. 😔 Thank you to Nicolas for another amazing commission! 🥰 Looking forward to the next entry! 🌈

Thank you so much for the comment and the kind words - the art and composition of this was so gorgeous, I agree! The way that Wayne's personality developed throughout this and then how it was a foil to his partner's was so good -- I love that the two of them aren't portrayed as "ideal" or "perfect" but are allowed to be rough around the edges, and show that even if time passes, things after such dramatic life changes take time and in a bittersweet way, it might never be the same again, sadly. But that doesn't mean that it won't be "Bad," just new and possibly full of growth and happiness in a different way. Nicolas did a fantastic job with this commission and it was so good saved for June!! Oh, the next entry is going to be a DOOZY, that's for sure!! Thanks again for the comment!
