I jokingly say that donghua Yan Wushi is A-Yan. 😂 A-Yan had me SWOONING, but that's because //I// wasn't betrayed and handed over to Sang Jingxing. 🫣 I love that all facets of Yan Wushi bring out the "rudeness" in Shen Qiao, because it just shows how much Yan Wushi gets under his skin. To me, it makes Shen Qiao feel more alive and human. In the beginning, regarding self-interest and the like, Shen Qiao told Yan Wushi that it's only human nature to pursue what your wants and needs, and that everyone, including himself, has bad thoughts. Because Shen Qiao is always practicing what he preaches and mentally and vocally chooses to take the high road, Yan Wushi and we as readers don't really see these "bad thoughts" until now, when Shen Qiao wants to upend a bowl of soup on a "child" and knock A-Yan unconscious for flirting with him. It's so refreshing to see Shen Qiao be someone other than "the good guy", especially since these "bad thoughts" are harmless but indeed not nice. 😂

Love the thought of sith robe Kermit being applied to Thousand Autumns 😆 Yeah, I definitely didn’t expect ALL THIS once I got around to reading the books after watching the show. Idk what I was expecting, but it wasn’t YW suddenly getting kind of sort of multiple personalities! Also didn’t expect Chen Gong to come back in the way he did. This story is getting wild! Him coming back like this honestly made me think that there’s some alternate universe out there where this book was actually about Chen Gong and YW and SQ are the side characters that come back into the story in a wildly unexpected way XP I enjoyed hearing your theorizing about all these different facets of YW’s personality! Thanks for the video!

I'm imagining Yan Wushi's disciples as baby birds in the nest chirping for their mama bird to come back Yan Wushi's disciples are interesting to me because compared to past Danmei, the main character doesn't have much personal association with his love interest's disciples. Wangxian have the Lan juniors, Zhou Zishu & Wen Kexing have Chengling, and Lou Binghe used to be a sect brother to Shen Qingqiu's disciples. So far, Shen Qiao doesn't care to have a deeper relationship with Yan Wushi's disciples. To me this really emphasizes Shen Qiao & Yan Wushi's relationship dynamic where they really are different and separate people. I'm excited to see content past the donghua for the first time! I really like how the author is increasing the tension in Shen Qiao & Yan Wushi's relationship!

I’ve always had a hard time starting this series. You reading it makes it so easy! This is the chapter set that’s hooked me the most. I do love the split personalities trope. Shame the art isn’t in color, I’d love to color code them purple for yan Wushi, pink for a-yan, and maybe… blue to ji ling?

Hahaha, that’s such a fun visual! Poor Bian Yanmei really is CHIRPING, I’m sure! Yeah, I like that Shen Qiao and Bian Yanmei are at least amicable, but they really are placing these two men as separate individuals in a legit “meeting and building a relationship;” it’s so interesting! And refreshing! Yesss, I cannot wait to see the post-donghua content! And yesss, the tension is increasing for sure! It’s so scandalous; I love it! Thank you for the comment!

Hahaha the Sith Robe Kermit seems so fitting for Danmei, doesn’t it? And yeah, YW getting multiple personalities comes out of NOWHERE and was NOWHERE on my BINGO card! Oohhh, donghua Yan Wushi as A-Yan? Interesting! We’ll see with the story, but yeah, A-Yan is swoon-worthy so far! Hahaha, that is so true; SQ looking at YWS and knowing that facet of him that betrayed him, what a complicated web, eh? And yes, the fact that his “bad thoughts” are just him being frustrated with this man, but it’s SQ, the SAINT, hahaha, it’s so adorable! Thank you for the comment!
