*RUINED HEADPHONE WARNINGS*

I was NOT PREPARED for this episode - the climax of "The Ruins Incident" in the Space Ship is full force and it's an all out battle, but BEHIND THE SCENES, I was shook and shaken by everything that is coming out to build more mystery, more theories, and continue to put things together but also make me even more bamboozled!

The episode we probably were all waiting for you to react to!😆

The fear that made Nice's perfect imagine is probably referring to his fights with villains that Shang De has infected with fear, rather than something Nice has been doping with. That's my interpretation of it at least. Even the villain that killed the researchers, he already appeared before in episode 2, in the moment Nice saved Moon. I would thought that most hero's contract forbids them from speaking up or speaking ill of other heroes or companies. Since there was enough blame to share, Luo Li probably had to chose between getting justice for what happened to her father and Nuonuo or getting into FOMO and getting her dream job( and getting her revenge later, maybe similarly to what Little Johnny wanted). I don't doubt for a second that she would be censored if she tried speaking badly about someone that wasn't approved by the rest of the Commission, especially if she wasn't part of one of the big companies. The reason why Zac and Micky meet is because Little Johnny is going to work with DOS and will leave FOMO. Zac doesn't seem to hate Rock. To me, he always seemed like he knew about what Rock was doing, especially if you review some of the previous interactions they have had in the show. He makes some references to Rock having an ideal and asking him if he reached it in episode 14. It's also funny to hear Rock say that only children live in the past when he has an shrine of a person he used to deify as a 9 year old.

This is one of my favorite episodes of the whole series for a couple of reasons. One, yes, the fight scenes and team ups were really cool. Seeing all these different heroes interacting and fighting was interesting in its own way. Second, there is a lot of very interesting information being droppen on us, finally starting to connect a few dotes to really understand this world. That being said, and as much as I appreciated Mikey telling us about Zero, it felt a bit odd that he explained so many details to Mr. Shand, when I'm sure he is aware of the public history of Zero and the only detail he might not have known was that Rocks' father was involved there. It's a minot nitpick, but it does make me laugh a little. Gosh, I remember when this episode dropped, and seeing live how all this people that loved Nice suddendly started to have different feelings, conflicted feelings about him xD It's so interesting to see in the end, even if only in glimpses, how the Comission worked hard to reframe the whole Ruin's Incident and the involvement of no less than 6 different heroes in it. If the public knew the truth, I'm sure fear values would go up some significant number. Okay, so, seeing Luo Li *losing her shit* and going bersek against the people that killed her dad was such a chilling moment, and I love that for her for all the complexity it gives her character. Just, imagine the horror later on, after she's calmed down, to know what she did to those people; because she didn't just killed them in some sort of desperate self defense, no, she bashed the head of that one guy at the end, and then *kept hitting him,* that's gotta hunt you at night later on. And to think that this is the thing that makes her become an actual signed hero? That's really twisted. Because she went with her dad's research team just a beat after her suit was completed but nobody in the public really knew about Loli the hero, she went as a scientist that had manipulated successfully this alien material. And now, after she failed to save her dad and Nuonuo she is suddendly a hero to the public for her part in that incident. That's gotta mess with your head, that she got her dream but because of one of the worst thing that could happen to her. I'm glad Nuonuo didn't die. There's hope for her yet, and I will cling to it with nails and teeth if I have to. For Luo Li and Ghostblade's sake. Ghostblade abandoning Mighty Glory, uncle Rock, after seeing him send another of his heros, E-Soul, to try to kill him is something that I will take as character growth, and I am going to give the credit he deserves to Little Johnny. Because I think as much as Nuonuo has helped Ghostblade try to be more social, I do think he ended up liking Little Johnny, and seeing some of who he was is affected him. And, well, I'm just really happy to see Uncle Rock lose at something xD Queen was a complete badass. Just entering the fight scene and putting everyone in their place. I love her, she is so cool.

Aaaaa,,, I love this ep ♥️Been waiting for it since the start. It’s just the culmination of all 19 past episodes colliding together for a huge spectacle.

Be Happy

Oh the Ruins incident episode .. i was absolutely on the edge of my seat during this episode from start to finish … going through all kind of emotions : excitement, anger, sadness, relief and curiosity This episode throws sooo much at us , lore, plot thickening, mystery and more mystery and a lot of character growth in my eyes Where to even start ? Nice, why does it have to be like this? Why does your dream become such an obsession that you became a cruel version of the one we saw with wreck. Shand psychological abuse of Nice is sickening and he is playing on his desires and insecurities so well to manipulate him like a puppet to do what he wants him to… and Nice is caught in a web of powerlessness to escape because he is in far too deep and sacrificed and let go of so many things to climbe the latter and even if he hates how things turned out so it’s absolutely difficult to back out now.. i can absolutely empathize with how stuck he is but i can never accept the things he did.. and unfortunately we all know how it all ended for him , was it worth it Nice? 🥲 E-Soul 2.0 is a PoS… i m amazed by the writing of his character making me go from absolute empathy to absolute disgust of his actions and mind set Ghostblase, he fought so hard to protect his daughter, he fought to protect Little and Big Johnny but at the end , karma serves him for what he s done before and my heart can’t help but ache for him Luo Li 😭😭😭 she breaks my heart.. loosing her father and her gf in one go is absolutely awful… altho Nuonuo is in a coma and not dead but she is not with her and she couldn’t protect either of them … that moment she went Berserk ??! One of the best moment of the show hands down for me .. you can HEAR the heartbreak in her voice, the anger and the cheer terror of loosing those she loves the most Ad that ending scene just twisting the knife on us, like she finally is recognized as the Hero she always wished to be, but at what cost😭 that dead stare in her eyes while reading the headlines about her hurts so much.. yeah she s finally realized her dream and people are taking her seriously but she is so numb to it .. RIP professor Luo 💔 Queen…absolutely badass, came swinging her cane, cleaned the mess and aura farmed to hard Dad Luo is sooo proud with that big smile Now that scene with Micky and Shand when Micky talks about the desires of everyone ? Instantly like instantly made me think of AOT’s Kenny Ackermann speech about : everyone is a slave to something I think that that scene with Micky and Shand ultimately sums the whole dynamics of this world: alliances based of mutual benefits no matter the cost, because eh, collateral damage 😤 greed, power hunger and big shots deciding the fate of their puppets and how the common people should perceive things Also rich of Shand to accuse Mickey to use the stick and carrot , because it s absolutely what he did to Nice in the building telling him he has no need to things with no value, then telling him that he is certain he will handle things perfectly.. the absolute psychological manipulation 101.. About Fear, we saw that DoS , Treeman have both been experimenting on Fear so i guess what Shand meant is that he instrumentalized fear to create villains that Nice will fight to create the perfect hero persona … that’s my view on that sentence. I guess the most crucial info we got out of this episode is that the real villains of this world are the Hero Agencies CEOs 🤣😭 because those people only care about their own benefit going as far as to weaponize their own heros, kill them, destroy innocent lives in the sole goal of having the edge on the other agencies , ranking higher and not letting a technology that could counter their plans be known.. true backstabbing scums Funnily enough MG was the biggest loser of the ruins with E soul being beaten, ghostblade walking away While Queen, Cyan by resolving the problem got out as the brightest stars which was Mickey’s goal from sending them (alongside burying the alien material that counters Fear and Trust). Mickey doesn’t do coincidence and he sent Queen there specifically because she is the Hero N 2 and knowing her abilities she can wipe them out without breaking a sweat .. we saw at the end of ep 12 that he asked to see Queen after she recovered and was the one asking her to go on vacation.. i guess that he suggested some location to her vacation knowing she will have to pass close to the Ruins site and will intervene.. .. all according to plan . Nice and Treeman with the help of a big PR campaign as we saw also twisted things around to make them to benefit treeman best.., About Luo Li not exposing Nice.. i think she s less impulsive now and everyone that saw Nice actions died , or in a coma so if she said anything it will basically be Her word against Nice’s (who is perfect hero, backed and established as one of the Incident’s Heroes thanks to PR) .. i think she became more reserved and maybe waiting the right moment or so i see it.. The guy that gave Cyan the coin had black hair Also X being elusive as ever, snapping his fingers and aura farming … he is such a mystery 🥰 That was an amazing amazing episode, and i loved every second of your reaction and discussion of it

At the beginning of the episode, there's a sign in the elevator next to Nice that says, "Beware of falling objects." I think that Da Xiong's death was a mark that represented the end of naivete in Luo Li's journey to be a hero. Da Xiong was a part of Luo Li's childhood while also being a character that referenced another Da Xiong in the kids' animation series, Doraemon. The focus over his brutal death was likely demonstrating the robotic behaviors of Shand's Fear soldiers as well. I assume that Nuonuo is in a coma because she took a hit in the head for covering Professor Luo, and then Professor Luo turned around and took the lethal hit to protect Nuonuo. Vortex mentioned in EP17 that people will never grant powers that surpass the gods to heroes after the Dawnfall, and I suppose that this is tied back to why the Commission is formed. As it stands, the Commission wants to prevent another Zero/God from appearing. Rock wants to resurrect Zero. Micky's and Zac's true intentions aren't revealed yet. A possible reason for commercializing heroes is that the commission can weaken the idea of godly heroes by turning heroes' capabilities into entertainment without fully overthrowing public trust. Enabling these private hero agencies to manage heroes is a band-aid solution for allocating and diversifying people's Trust across the populace, because everyone can be a hero and a potential threat. Aside from giving the audience the lore dump at the right moment, I believe that Micky is trying to convince Shand by sharing information upfront about Rock as his leverage to get the better end of the bargain. I think that Micky wants to use the ruins incident to boost Queen's popularity through setting up an aftermath for her to clean up. Since Queen had lost to X prior and also failed to participate in the previous tournament because of Bowa, her popularity could have been somewhat damaged. It's possible that Micky wasn't interested in what he might gain within the spaceship, but he was interested in what he could gain from others' wrongdoings. Micky just needed to make sure that Queen was departing at the right time while making sure that Shand would cooperate with a narrative that could benefit both of them. Micky might have orchestrated DJ Shindig's attack to push the research team to speed up their schedule for reaching the spaceship. Whether Cyan accompanies Queen or not, Queen would still benefit from the incident since Cyan is a part of DOS too. It wasn't made clear with the scene with Micky and Zac in the epilogue montage, but that scene is suggesting that Little Johnny was getting transferred to DOS from FOMO, likely upon his own request, as Little Johnny made the decision to train with Cyan and Queen after things were settled near the ruin, and I feel like he was probably looking to shake off the image of a mascot at a different company to get stronger. This part about how the Ruins Incident remained silent is all speculation. I think Lou Li has lost trust in other heroes and the Commission, and she decided to join FOMO to be a part of the hero circle because FOMO has the least yield at the ruins. Ghostblade needed to agree to keep things quiet for withdrawing from MG. Queen and Cyan are kept in the dark because of Liu Zhen and Micky's media coverage. Little Johnny might join DOS to investigate them too. New E-Soul and OG Nice are just compliant with their work. Given we have the full ED song in the background, I'd recommend watching the OP and ED after EP23 and before EP24 from the previous episodes or Youtube for the best viewing experience without spoilers. Thank you so much for the comment! It's so wild to see all of this coming together and it was SUCH a good episode!!

Ahhh, that would make sense, honestly! It’s interesting – I wonder at this point if Wreck was ever infected with fear, but I’m assuming not from how Lin Ling encountered him - hopefully there’s more on that in the next four episodes. HAHAHA, I didn’t realize that about the villain killing the researchers but will talk about that in the intro of Episode 21. Ope. If there is a contract that forbids heroes from speaking up, the show should make that apparent, or it’s just an assumption and we can’t say that’s for sure. *shrugs* But I agree she’d probably be censored; I get a little disappointed sometimes that this series is so particular about the worldbuilding, but then leaves little explanatory world building moments out, but that’s a personal gripe of the series. Not a major one. Ehhh, the mods didn’t flag that note about LJ leaving FOMO to work with Mickey a spoiler, and I guess it’s explanatory…I usually like to figure that out for myself, but thanks for letting me know. And that is SO TRUE about Rock being stuck in the past while chiding Zac about it – PROJECTING MUCH? Hahaha! Thanks for the comment!

Oohhh, that sign is OMINOUS. Da Xiong’s death was just BRUTAL. I don’t know if I agree about the Luo Li reference, because she’d didn’t see the death at all…NuoNuo saw it. That makes sense for Little Johnny transferring; I usually don’t like spoilers and I don’t know how y’all know this for sure without getting into a future scene of LJ being with DOS, which - would be a spoiler - but I appreciate the information. We’ll see where it goes! That is a fair point about the ruins! I hadn’t thought of it that way, but that does make a lot of sense. I have repeatedly said I will examine the OP and ED after Episode 24; I have consulted with the mods, and this will not change, so please respect my plans as a content creator. Sorry to be blunt, but lots of people keep asking me to watch the OP and ED and I have made up my mind and want folks to respect that, please. I appreciate you helping with the links, though! Thanks for the comment!

I LOVE this episode so much! It’s SO good! Yeah, that moment with Mickey DEFINITELY felt like a “explain it for the audience” moment and is a little clunky, but it’s okay because at least we get that info in the end - but I totally feel your nitpick. OG!Nice really captivates us in this episode - I need more with him! And yessss, the Commission really had to go into overdrive after this episode and the Ruins Incident. I felt so badly for Luo Li in this episode - I don’t blame her for going all out after seeing her father die; it’s so heartbreaking! Anyone that doesn’t find her compelling after this episode? I just don’t get it. She really won me over in this arc! Her entire full circle story where she ends without BOTH NuoNuo and her father is so tragic and heartbreaking! I’m glad NuoNuo didn’t die, but it does look grim for her after this episode. Any loss for Uncle Rock is a good loss! I also LOVED that scene with Queen! She was so great!! And I’m glad that Ghostblade left Rock – I would NEVER stay after all that happened to him. And yes, I have grown to love Little Johnny; I’m glad he’s movie forward to get stronger after this arc! Thank you for the comment!

The Ruins Incident! This episode was WILD! One of the best of the season so far! And it’s all coming together! OG!Nice is TERRIFYING and I’m excited to see what we find out about his backstory in the episodes to come, hopefully. E-Soul 2.0 REALLY disappoints me as a character for his attitude - I really loved Yang Cheng and felt so much for him, but that is completely gone as he’s so hollow, now. Yesssss….Karma catches up to Ghostblade, but man, I feel so badly for NuoNuo; this girl didn’t ask for this at all. Luo Li – her arc coming full circle and losing her father AND NuoNuo making her go berserk and then move forward as a hero…ugh, this whole Hero World is just TRAGIC. But her VA did SO GREAT in losing it against Nice in this episode! Queen is an ABSOLUTE badassssss – I love her so much; that scene of her and Nice just was perfection - and Daddy Liu proud of her – as he should be! See, that speech with Micky SO relates to Kenny’s – is it weird I love to loathe characters like both of them? But for different reasons? Still, any scene that gives me AOT vibes is awesome to me! And yes, all these CEO’s just acting out of self interests…*deep sighs* And yes, Mr. Shand/Shang is definitely a bit of a hypocrite with how manipulative he is, himself. Ale noted that about the Fear, too, so that makes sense with Nice fighting villains infected by Fear. And the CEO’s being the villains? WHO SAW THAT COMING? Hahaha!! That’s been the least surprising reveal of the season, but still gets your blood boiling, haha! I stilllllll think it’s a plot hole that Luo Li said nothing about OG!Nice or that we haven’t seen anything about her wanting to expose him…if I saw on the daily the man partially responsible for my father’s death? I wouldn’t be quiet about that. But that’s just my opinion. Oh, there will be more to say about X in the future, trust and believe…well, or theories, anyway! ;) Thank you for the comment and kind words! I’m glad you enjoyed it!
