This is completely unrelated to blood on the tracks but since you mentioned the song creep by Radiohead it reminded me of something, idk if you know but the song “creep” inspiration is from when thom York was in college and was infatuated with a beautiful woman who went to the same college as him. He would look at her from afar on campus for days too afraid to approach her. To him she was so perfect and out of his league that it made him feel like a creep for just staring at her from afar. The crazy thing is though a couple of years later that exact woman actually came to a Radiohead show and watched them play. It’s crazy to think that one of the most popular songs ever made is an about you, it makes me wonder if that woman knows the song is about her, or what is she up to nowadays or how does she feel about the song? I feel like overall that’s a good idea for documentary, like trying to find and interview people who some of the most popular songs were made about and what their feelings are about the song or if they are even aware the song is about them. It’s such a coincidence that you mentioned creep because I was actually thinking about this exact topic on my lunch break at work today😂.

“Osabe, your mother is terrifying” that is one of the best “character says exactly what the audience is thinking lines” in media😭. And it is very satisfying to hear someone in the story finally say it out loud. Because seiko is genuinely so scary. The scene where she comes home at night and shoves her fingers down his mouth and chokes him is done so well. The paneling and facial expression build so much tension that each page turn has so much weight behind it. And the switch in her personality as the lights come on is so jarring that it really is similar to how a room instantly lights up once you flip a light switch. Also I just checked the extras poll and it looks like blood in the tracks did not win, so I’ll probably just request it again next month because I really do love this manga and think it’s really underrated. I really do hope it gets an anime one day I could only imagine how crazy that would be to watch.

I was so excited when I saw you were diving further into this story! Thanks Username123! That ending chapter really got my heart going! I feel so sorry for both these kids! I also have a lot of respect for Fukishi, for being brave enough to challenge Seiko in that moment. Also glad she didn’t blame Sei for the letter thing since Seiko was claiming they did it together. Does make me wonder how often she must go through this kind of thing at home though, to react like that to Seiko’s ranting. Seiko switching back and forth so quickly is so chilling! Even if these kids try to go to an authority figure for help, she’d probably be able to convince the authorities that the kids are just exaggerating and trying to avoid getting in trouble for being out so late and that all her yelling was just her being worried for her son. Honestly, the parents divorcing might not be so bad, but only if the dad gets full custody of Sei. Sei would have to get more independent about some stuff since the Dad seems so checked out, but that’s better than having to deal with his mom every single day. I think I’m gonna have to run off and read the next chapter right away! Yet another diabolical cliffhanger! Thanks for the video!

I can’t wait for you to continue this story, not so fun fact about shuzo oshimi, he released a manga called “Internet cafe” way before this, maybe even his first release if not close to it but it was so bad with extreme sexual assault and violence against women. A terrible story but he grew into an amazing artist and story teller. I took from that in some rare cases a terrible artist can grow. He might be the rare exception but when I say he came from humble beginnings as a mangaka I mean it. His style has always been unique but he learned to tell powerful stories with less shocking pointless things. I find it amazing how he went from check his hard drives to please read anything he makes because he’s that good. Amazing growth he improved so much.

SERIOUSLY, Sei’s mother is SCARY because of how she “passes” as normal. I agree, it’s great to see a character notice how she acts and call it out. And that gag scene is so terrifying! Nope nope nope. I really don’t want to pressure you to keep commissioning, but as long as you do, I won’t say no! Hopefully, though, it wins a future poll! Thank you so much for the comment!

romaniablack

Ooohhhh, I had heard something about the origins of that song, but not the full detail, so thank you for that! And yeah, I wonder if she knew the song was about her? I would personally be very scared, but everyone is different, so maybe she found it flattering? So many questions! And oooohhhh, a documentary of the "inspirations" for songs would be so cool! I would watch that in a heartbeat!

Yessss, Username123 is so gracious to commission this next set! I feel for Fukishi SO MUCH - she’s so brave, but I’m not sure she realizes how terrifying Seiko truly is! And I was glad that she didn’t blame Sei for the letter! I feel for her, to not be MORTIFIED by Seiko says a lot about her home life. Seiko is just terrifying because of how unstable she is and how “normal” she comes off across as – and yeah, I agree 100% – if Seiko and the dad divorce, he HAS to get custody of Sei, because if she’s alone with him, that’s not safe for him. But yeah, the dad has checked out, which concerns me. Thank you for the comment and hopefully I get to the next set of volumes soon!

This story is getting better and better! Ooohhh, I’m not sure I could read a story with SA that hardcore. I like how “subtle” this storytelling is, it makes it quite CHILLING to read, because of how “delicate” the horror is – thank you for the comment and pointing this out!

I feel like having a song that popular being made after you would definitely be super weird, especially if you had to constantly hear it played everywhere. And it’s not like you could tell other people the song is about you, because nobody would believe you😂. Also I would want royalties if that’s even possible😭

romaniablack

RIGHT?! That would be honestly scary, especially a song like this! And yes, hahahaha, I'd be asking for those royalties on the spot! XD
