I had someone tell me once that surgery is like getting into a knife fight. The only problem is that you are asleep and your opponent is wide awake. Having something in your head(which i hope your teeth are) creates much higher levels of acute trauma and increases the risk during healing. This is just a really long way of saying, you got cut all the way up and its okay to take some time to rest.
