Sam (Hilary Duff), a teenager in California, is obliged to work as a janitor and dishwasher in the diner of her stepmother (Jennifer Coolidge). After a cell phone mix-up, Sam begins an anonymous text-messaging and e-mail relationship with a boy. They agree to meet at a school dance, but when Sam finds out that her secret pen pal is none other than Austin Ames (Chad Michael Murray), the cutest boy in school, she panics and looks for a way to make herself cooler.

I ain't even watch it yet and know it's going to be good you should watch another Cinderella story with Selena Gomez and Cinderella story once upon a song with Lucy hale all three use to be on the same dvd think I still have it

yaaas omg i've come to suggest the movie w/ Selena Gomez as well, that one is more of a comedy in my opinion. eye think you'd really like it. but so glad you just dropped this classic, pressing play now! <3

You should definitely check out Another Cinderella Story with Selena Gomez. They've made multiple spin offs but that one is the only decent one in my opinion.

Fiona calling Rhonda "Betty Crocker from the hood" at the start of the movie, the "jokes" about Carter's outfit in the beginning and him calling Rhonda "girlfriend" not once but TWICE...I bet the writers thought they ate that... not only did Austin just sit there and listen, the TEACHER was sitting right behind him and didn't think at ANY point of that "play" how maybe she should stop mass bullying of two (mostly one cause everyone was going after Sam) of the students from the school... "botox headass face" had me cackling, I can't believe Fiona told Rhonda to beat up her daughters instead of her cause their faces aren't as "new" as hers. when Sam said "waiting for you is like waiting for rain in this drought; useless and disappointing" I was GAGGED! Carter was such a great friend to Sam, he supported her dreams and aspirations while never pushing her to do something she didn't want to (when he offered for them to ditch the game if she doesn't feel like going to it) and I'm so glad they didn't do the tiring story of best friend becoming boyfriend and girlfriend or him having a one-sided crush on her and they just let them be best friends. plus Carter and Astrid...I'M HERE FOR IT
