Has Nan ever cringed through an entire movie before? She may need a good back rub after this. Christopher Guest is the king when it comes to these movies. If you can find the time you need to watch Waiting for Guffman which is about community theatre. Best in Show about dog shows. A Mighty Wind, folk music, are great as well. They create an outline, no dialogue. All of them are mostly improvised. Wonderful reaction ladies.

This one was a ton of fun to watch - the jokes don't stop! Thanks for watching with us. We've already added those onto the list!

This is Spinal Tap is finally being reintroduced into the Criterion Collection on 4K and Blu-Ray this Tuesday. This one has been out of print for a long time. It was the twelfth film Criterion released on DVD back in 1998.

There are so many funny moments in this movie and only gets funnier after repeat viewings. A movie you might enjoy is a spoof on The Beatles, the pre-fab four, 'The Rutles'.

Great reaction! So when Marty DiBergi (the “director”) talks about making TV commercials of dogs chasing covered wagons under a sink, he is referring to “Chuck Wagon” dog food commercials like these. (I remember some of them from back in the day!): https://youtu.be/GUIWWhdBzzc?si=qoS7StOfJ0JPJKLo Possibly this one is the specific one, or one like it: https://youtu.be/MiZ1zIRVWoE?si=QVZ4OHCq9x5rJHw3 That “USS Ooral Sea OV-4B” hat DiBergi wears is a modified hat from the real US Navy aircraft carrier named “USS Coral Sea CV-43” and supposedly the US Navy would not allow the real name to be used. Harry Shearer does a lot of voices on “The Simpsons” show and Spinal Tap appears on an episode of The Simpsons called “The Otto Show” Season 3, Episode 22 from 1992. Billy Crystal played the “mime is money” mime at the opening party and Dana Carvey played one of the other ones. Bruno Kirby who played the Sinatra-obsessed limo driver was in The Godfather Part II as the young Clemenza. Spinal Tap has officially released several real albums: This Is Spinal Tap (1984) and this is the soundtrack album from the movie. Break Like the Wind (1992) Back from the Dead (2009) The End Continues will be released on September 12, 2025 along with the new movie. The album shown in the movie are not real albums unfortunately! Harry Shearer also played the DJ when they listen to their old song being played in the hotel room. As with playing the instruments, the actors also wrote the songs. It was pretty much all improvisation for the dialogue. The woman who sculpted the Stonehenge piece is played by Anjelica Houston

Thank you for answering all of our questions. I can't believe we didn't recognize Anjelica Huston. I'm looking up that Simpson episode right now.
