Dan Hedaya (General Arius) is probably best known for playing Nick Tortelli - Carla's first husband - on Cheers. He also played Richard Nixon in the underrated "Dick," and has a small part in "Mulholland Drive," my favorite film of the 21st century so far. For more David Patrick Kelly (Sully), I'd highly recommend "The Warriors," as well as the series Twin Peaks.

Another demographic probably remembers him as Cher's (Alicia Silverstone) father in Clueless (1995). 😀

The big shootout at the end reminds me of the shootout in Beverly Hills Cop. Big fancy manor estate, endless bullets, pottery and landscaping getting destroyed...😀

I only ever saw "Clueless" once - and it was before the turn of the century - so I don't really remember that much about it -- other than that it was apparently a loose, shallow, modern-day take on Jane Austen's Emma. 🤷‍♂️

Bill W

Same here, I haven't seen it since it was new...somewhere between '95-2000. Don't remember anything about the story...just some faces in it- Brittany Murphy, Paul Rudd, Breckin Meyer, Donald Faisan. And it had a hip soundtrack, but I don't specifically remember any of the songs.

As you might have guessed, out of all those movies you mentioned, we've only seen "Clueless". We are strongly considering watching Twin Peaks in the new year.

Also, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you've now pretty much seen all of Arnold's best action vehicles. The only remotely noteworthy ones left are maybe "Red Sonja," "Red Heat," "Eraser," and, though it goes outside of your '70s/'80s/'90s jurisdiction, "Terminator 3," which, while not in the same league as the first 2, I'll still die on the hill that it makes for a decent way to close out the franchise; it's particularly elevated by its ending, which sort of brings everything full circle. Of course, there's also Arnold's more comedic duo of "Twins" and "Kindergarten Cop" -- both directed by Ivan Reitman of "Ghostbusters" fame.

Bill Elliott

He also played Richard Nixon in “Dick”, that’s the title of the movie no joke

Great one you guys, I left a comment on You Tube to help the algorithm too. Of note, the joke Arnold made about eating Green Berets for breakfast was a dig at Stallone, with whom he was feuding at the time (Rambo 2 had just come out). Also, the girl in the movie is Rae Dawn Chong, Tommy Chong’s (from Cheech and Chong) daughter. Next time you guys are together do “Kindergarten Cop”!

Totally Whatever

The endless bullets - lol! Yes, it is so similar to the one in Beverly Hills Cop. We are premiering that movie on YT next week.

Totally Whatever

Thanks, William - and thank you for commenting on YT as well.
