Made for 1 million back in 1962 which would equal to 10.7 million today

Bond , James Bond yes you know the line as the iconic music plays in the background The one that started it all DR NO . yes still delivering my lines with my Sean Connery impression , [ i will share my performances soon] Connery still is the definitive Bond as you will come see in this What a great way to spend Christmas eve with Bond and two lovely ladies . Merry Christmas and Have an awesome holiday season Nanette and Carolyn 🎅🎄💖💖

Totally Whatever

We are looking forward to that performance! ;) Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you, too, Harvey!

I think the real villain was the hostess lady. Very suspicious of how she was too nice

Well, despite the Craig movies, let’s borrow a phrase from Obi-Wan Kenobi and say “You've taken your first step into a larger world.” Or closely enough anyway!

I would have loved to see Prof. Yes and Mr. Maybe make an appearance🤣. Revisiting Austin Powers after you’ve watched Bond is a great idea. You probably missed most of jokes the first time.

Totally Whatever

🤣 Right? Also Miss Sometimes We almost definitely missed a lot of the jokes in Austin Powers.

Barry Finney

You might want to watch at least thru Goldfinger before rewatching Austin Powers.

Finally home and got some time to watch this. These movies are certainly products of their time, for better and for worse. But they are entertaining, and I always considered watching them as a rite of passage for cinephiles, as they make for an amazing journey through 60 years of filmmaking and how it evolved over time. Austin Powers is directly spoofing these classic Bond movies and while it is funny on its own, knowing these old ones adds a whole new layer of entertainment to them. However, I would highly recommend waiting at least until after You Only Live Twice before revisiting them. Looking forward to From Russia with Love. That might be my personal favorite of the Connery ones. PS: Connery was afraid of spiders, so he refused to get in physical contact with the tarantula. In his scenes a thin sheet of glass is between him and the spider. In the close-ups his stuntman was filmed with the spider crawling on his arm and he later said it was the most frightening stunt he ever performed.

- I also played "Goldeneye" on N64 when I was younger - This is such a JFK Cold War era movie. The early 1960s had a very unique aesthetic. My dad was born in the 1950s and he too had a ton of Spy toys during his childhood. It was a big thing. - You mentioned the deep green color. That was when films were made in technicolor. Beautiful. I am sure you will see more of that whenever you watch movies from the 1950s and 1960s. - I think the photographer girl broke a seashell to gash Quarrel's face. - If Carolyn is afraid of spiders, I highly recommend the 1990s film "Arachnophobia" HAHA - I like Carolyn's desire for "enhanced questioning." I could see Nanette asking the person nicely, whereas I could see Carolyn using a taser demanding answers quickly. - BTW, it was so sad to see the shock and denial on both your faces with Quarrel was fried to a crisp by a flamethrower. LOL Good reaction!

We couldn’t see the thin sheet of glass during the scene - we will have to go back and look closer. Carolyn was squirming too much to focus.

Totally Whatever

Justice for Quarrel! That was hard to see. Glad you liked our reaction to this one. We are looking forward to more Bond.
