What the vision at the start of the episode was, was apparently the dragon blood that Capella injected into Subaru's wound fighting off the remnants of the mabeast curses that he received back in season 1. Or something like that. I saw someone mention it once, but what I think it means, is probably that the dragon blood is just in Subaru now. So I wonder if Subaru managed to control it or what having the blood fully means. It clearly can regenerate wounds, just like Capella can, but I wonder how it will work for Subaru. Will the regeneration just work for his leg or will he be able to regenerate his body once the blood mixes in even more? You are right in thinking of Betty when artificial spirit is mentioned. She is one after all. If you don't understand why, it's because like we learned in season 2, Echidna is her mother. Not literally, but she actually created Betty. If I remember right, Betty even tripped up in the flashback about the old Sanctuary when Ryuzu arrived there and almost said that Echidna was her creator but then she corrected to mother. I might be remembering wrong how it exactly happened or when, but that's how I think it was. (I'm too lazy to check xD) Tome of Wisdom is the book Betty and Roswaal had. Echidna is the one who created them, this is also everything we learned in the last season, just like Subaru explains here. A fun (or not so fun) fact is that before Regulus was going to kill Number 184, for a single frame, before Emilia saves her, she seemingly seems to accept death and smile. Well, we know that Lust was busy with Subaru and the dragon, Wrath attacked the Muse Company where Anastasia was and Regulus was with Emilia. The only thing we don't know is where Gluttony was at the time the flood gate opened. The speech Subaru gave here to Anastasia really makes me love his character a lot. It's not like he's saying all that because he's naive and thinks everything will go like he think it does or that there's going to be no casualties, but he's just saying it with confidence and conviction, because he's going to try his best to bring all of it to reality. He's not the same kind of person we saw back in season 1, that just speaks big but can't do anything. He now has people he trusts and people that trust him. He can do it. It's really hard to put into words, but I hope you get what I mean.

About the dragon blood curse, I remember reading an explanation saying that the reason Subaru isn't negatively affected is because the old curses are present, but dormant. The mabeasts got killed, but the curses were never removed. And the new curse cannot be activated before them. Think of it as lines of code in a computer program: one command cannot be started before the previous ends, but the previos one is permanently stopped. Also, I don't think it's gonna allow him to regenerate more of his body. A healing power in a story revolving around dying and repeating seems too overpowered and convenient. It's more Re:zero style to leave it as it is, so Subaru could take advantage of the curse's limited ability to achieve something in the future.

I hope his leg won't continue to look like that it's scary lol. yea I think it will be problematic if his whole body can regenerate because he won't be able to go back in time anymore 😅

I really like the musician. Her voice acting, her character, her actions in the show, and her singing are all fantastic. But even as good as all that is, the songs really slow the episodes down so much. It's a weird dichotomy where I want to see more of her on screen, but find it mostly distracting when she is.

I see, so that's the deal with the curses. Anime never did a good job explaining so I was a bit confused about it. Thanks!
