When I first watched the episode, it all felt wrong from the start of the episode, maybe it was the situation getting to Ram and Subaru, but them getting so worked up over finding Rem felt off somehow, at least it felt weird that they would instantly snap at eachother like that, but it's understandable. It is clear that the more time goes on, everyone is losing it slowly down there. I did see a post about the Sigmund Freud line Subaru said. Apparently in the original work, it was supposed to be Kurapika from Hunter x Hunter that he referenced. I guess they had to change it for some reason. I do also have a theory about these "doors" Subaru keeps opening based on the info from the episodes that are currently out, but I won't share it yet. I thought Patrache was supposed to be a vegetarian.... I'm glad they aren't skipping on the gore at the very least though, a lot of anime tend to keep it on the low. I think if we're talking about death and things that could horribly go wrong, the bunnies were a horrible way to die for sure, but experiencing killing people you care about and them killing you is also absolutely something I'd never want to go through, it's horrible in a different way than the rabbits were. I wasn't even sure it could get worse than that to be fair. In a way, I'm glad that Re:Zero can come up with scenarios like that though that keep each death feeling different (and uniquely horrifying in their own way) from the previous. Also, apparently when Ram split Anastasia in half, Echidna inside her actually died and Anastasia got her body back. And then we see her cling to Subaru in her last moments, saying that she doesn't want to die. It's pretty horrible. I'm also happy they finally explain what the miasma actually is and how it can affect us. We've heard it be mentioned before a lot but there was never really explanation to what it is, just that it's something to do with the Witch powers and stuff. If that was the miasma making them go insane, that would mean that there is something nearby that is probably emitting all that miasma. Could it be Satella? Whatever that mabeast was that Subaru encountered after falling down, it looked very close to (at least with the colors and lines) what Lust created of the people back in Priestella. I doubt it's actually something that has anything to do with her, but that's what popped in my mind first. Also according to some source material readers, it was supposed to have super insane regeneration powers but the barrage of needles was just so strong that it didn't even have an opportunity to regenerate. Also super cute and cool to see Ram trying to protect Subaru with her life. It goes to show how much she actually trusts and values him. It makes everything else that happened in this episode really seem even more out of place than what it already seemed like.
