Hello Patreon family! I hope you enjoy my detailed psychological analysis of Violet Evergarden's OVA, unofficially known as episode 14. I want to dedicate the special recording to Memorial Day, as a veteran, to honor those who never came home and those who are grieving, waiting, and praying.

For me, this was a top-2 episode in the Violet Evergarden series, and the most emotional I've felt on and off the screen, probably on par with episode 10, given its beautiful portrayal of loss, grief, and emotional closure.

My main takeaways from the episode

1) We grieve because we loved deeply, and grief is the price we pay to experience love

2) Life is a team sport, and one cannot play a team sport alone; Violet and her successful mission to help bring forth closure for Irma, Aldo, and the audience in the Orchestra is a testimony to this beautiful truth

3) Let us all rely on our community and meaningful social support to allow our loved ones to gift us with an act of kindness and service when needed

Happy Memorial Day, everyone. I hope we all take a moment to be thoughtful and appreciative of our loved ones and their presence, because not everyone can or will~

p.s., we will resume our regular Eighty Six (86) schedule next Sunday :)

p.p.s., thank you to Waiting4Erik for the beautiful suggestion from the Discord community
