Comments

Zack Bochman

hell yea, right in time for my drive home from work lol

Arie

Perfect for driving out of Philly to ct

Daniel Bryn

I fucking loved season 2 and I love the bwaw bwaminw bwaw maw maw.

Cj Lane

They will never get me to hate season 2 😤

Bryan Steele

Match.com matched my mom and my uncle. They're twins. In Match's defense, they DO have quite a lot in common!

Gerry Lewis

Untested no dongle is fully a grindr profile

withinmyself

I'm playing Avowed while listening to this. Tuesdays are back, baby!!

Elias Okstad

I’ve been looking forward to hearing about the thoughts on the episode but it was also nice to hear everything but.

GoblinGuy

This is another reminder that McDonald’s is being boycotted due to their mistreatment of workers + participation in the Palestinian genocide. Please don’t spend your money there. There are better cafes!

Daniel Roberts

Francis's gun is like the evil uncle of Ron's sword

Mathew Staib

Should have Lin-Manuel Miranda as Dennis just so halfway through it would cut to Lin-Manuel there with no explanation.

Sierra Dawson

I AM NOT THROWING AWAY MY RON 🗣🗣💥

Borgar

William, do not listen to the haters. The bweeow bweeo is the highlight of my day every other Tuesday. Gonna be a sad day when you're no longer DM and Anthony resumes leadership of the bonus show and we all know he ain't doing any bweeow bweeo's for us. I love it every time, never stop

James Pratt

I genuinely don’t understand the comments or the hate for season two I had a blast and was waiting for every upload

Oliver Fulayter

When are my boys, and my sports writin' gal gonna choke me for science? Does this happen in all friend circles? Edit: I made this comment before y'all started poopin' on rogue-likes. Literally playing FTL while listening. How dare. Y'all don't know the true art of doing the same thing over and over again but slightly different this time.

Abby Amsel

It makes me so sad when they diss on Season Two. I love it still.

J

I can't even make an attempt at crafting the onomatopoeia, but I'm loving all the attempts in the comments 😂 Please never stop making the sound or trying to spell it 🙏

Burk

Thanks for all the kind words about our games and studio!! We’re big fans of dungeons & daddies over at Obsidian as well :) Hope you enjoy Avowed 🤍

withinmyself

I'm enjoying Avowed immensely, it's the most fun I've had in a game all year. Thank you!!

withinmyself

Thank you for that rant, Fredie, it was so very long overdue.

Maria M

I went back and listened to some episodes recently and I didn’t realize how much I miss the teens!!!

Icarus Olsen

Just about to comment this! Glad someone else feels the same!!

Alec Roga

Anthony's concern for Beth's safety was very sweet 💞

Angus Yearbury

Season two was amazing. The emotional story telling was incredible and it helped me through a lot of my problems. Anthony you did amazing. <3

Halophyte

Every weeb worth their salt is cringing at ascribing clickbait titles to anime. It's not all anime, it's the anime adaptations of light novels! I dont care that the surveyors are telling me this is flat ground, I will say theres a hill here just so I can die on it.

Aaron W

Aw shoot not the scaphoid! It's a stupid bone. "Reverse blood flow" my butt. Broke my right one twice. Just a garbage, garbage bone.

Halophyte

Dude can we please get Freddie and Beth to watch Hajime no Ippo and comment on what they do right and wrong?? Pls? It's such a good anime, yeah the art style rubs some people the wrong way, but, god the way they handle each new opponent's back story 🙏👌 any other Ippo stans out there?!

IllustriousNobody

anthony acting like a concerned parent every time beth gets hurt is honestly so sweet🫶

Melissa Titus

Lin Manuel is Jodi, what are you all talking about 😂

Rogzilla

I was pretty certain they had mentioned Real Good Touring before so excited to get confirmed it is, in fact, Aron’s company. The real question is when are we gonna get some daddies on the 10MPH or. Guest Grumps? Or get Arin and Danny to sit in on an episode of DnDads

GoblinGuy

Real!! I LOVED s2, and so do the people I introduced to the pod. Taylor is such an inside joke in my friend group. So many people refused to see s2 as its own season, and not just S2- part two.

withinmyself

>> doing the same thing over and over again but slightly different << Like life

Diana

Leader of the Power Rangers... Zordon! Anthony: Jason. Respect.

Nickolas Harbaugh

Love the show guys! Y’all do phenomenally. I wanted to ask Matt and Freddy if they’ve ever played Warframe. I feel like y’all would really enjoy it, it’s easily the best f2p game ever made. It has nigh infinite content.

ADoubleEgg

WILLS ACCEAPELLA IS BACK

Matthew Wegley

Season two was great Anthony is awesome the intro is my anthem. Nuff said

Bronto Crushrock

For one of my campaigns I made a maze that if you talked or made a loud enough noise you were teleported to a random point somewhere else in the maze.

GunnFactor

If u r looking at maze games tales from the stinky dragon uses a card game. I have used it and it is pretty good!

Oh Lordii

Wait do people actually hate season 2? It’s naturally a different vibe/story of the dads, but it had its own charm and story. I think I had the hardest laughs in s2 with the teen antics than anything else.

Bishibosh44

I liked Ssn2 but the pacing was a bit wonky and the characters didn't progress and change in as pronounced and clear ways. Still a better show than 90% of content at that rate but if someone shows you the sun the moon may not seem as bright despite not, like, trying to be the sun, mom! There's a lot of Matt absolutely crushing as Link though, the truth serum scene is an all-timer.

Michael Miller

So can we expect the Daddies game trailer reveal at Summer Games Fest 😉? Also, Avowed has been great so far. Great job Obsidian team!

Evan Weller

Omg Beth was in Aspen!! I wish I would’ve been on the lift with you🥲

Wizard Skringus

all this hotdog talk is making me want a Dungeons & Daddies X The Basement Yard collab

Quito Ollero

“I think it might be Kendrick” Beth was absolutely 100% right

Nerdsome Noel

The Lin-Manuel Miranron idea and the off the cuff Miranron rap had me laughing so hard I had to step away from the cutting board because that got me in a way I wasn’t expecting.

Eli

Really great episode! I really liked the part where matt shot freddy in the head with no warning!

BörkBörk

Omg the YouTube video rant!! I joined in on the frustration "It's all the same!!!!"

dstnwmn

Dont know if they read these comments but Tales from the Stinky Dragon with Micah Risinger and Gus Sorola has a fun maze system with cards that makes things much easier in general

Martin Flores

My dm showed us a way to do a maze where there is a flame 3 diff colors and if we separated we will not be together no more but if we stay as one we stay but the goal is to make it so the flame is at the Brightest (left blue straight green right yellow flame ) and the dm would roll a d4 if they chose the wrong way

DungeonBrat

Oh god I did not make it past 'Bitcherton'

Martin Flores

Beth ate with that Kendrick statement

Matthew Wegley

I broke my scaffoid bone too, Beth’s the only other person I’ve heard of who has, same way with the outstretched hand too

Louis Frohock

I can’t get the idea of Lin Manuel singing “I’m not a step dad I’m the dad who stepped UP

Corkboard Podcast Network

I’m certain this is too late to be any use, but what I have done before with the maze… Make yourself a secondary “master” copy, which has encounters listed by where they are IN the maze (basically dots at certain intersections / paths) and then let them run the maze. When they are done, compare the result to the master copy, and total how many encounters they came across on the route they chose. Then run the encounters back-to-back, with quick roleplay of moving through the maze between them. (This works best with short, low-level encounters, as it’s more a gauntlet run than anything) Recommend!

giulietta

it’s actually kind of insane and extremely haunting how much my mental perception of henry locked into place when i envisioned lin-manuel playing him on the big screen

Oh Lordii

That’s a fair way to see it. I cried tears of laughter when I first listened to the episode in hell with Freddie ping ponging off himself as Glen and Taylor, then again on the 2nd listen.

Alex Da San Martino

So has Anthony finally come to terms with the fact that borderlands 2 was the best borderlands

Toasty

The man wrote Power Rangers comics. He knows

Xyta Midnyte

HA! That intro. Damn you guys are absolutely bananas. <3

bbsincere

Beth always coming in clutch! Thanks for sharing your talent with us!

Lexi SanDiego

I thought they were talking about “New Girl”.

Scott Bufis

The arcade skateboard game was called Top Skater! Sega 1997

liam morin

top tier peach pit this week

GoblinGuy

I think the reason Jenkins death is such an escalation is because Francis doesn’t have a *reason*. We see/hear about how Shane practically tortured Francis throughout the years, so him shooting Shane at least makes sense. He hit his limit. Jenkins is mainly just annoying (to the characters). We don’t actually see him hurt anyone. Francis doesn’t kill Jenkins because he wants to help the Bigfoot/swam people or because he’s a Nazi, it’s only because he’s annoyed and not being obeyed. Jenkins isn’t killed out of self preservation, it’s strictly out of the need for control.

GRIVVIS

Loving wills reference to osmosis Jones, nobody ever remembers that show was beginning to think I'd imagined it 😂

SenorBumFace

Patiently waiting for the hotdog guy to answer the hotdog questions.

starcatmoondog

i cannot believe they answered my lin manuel miranda question hello

Max Wilson

That video of that woman snow boarding not realizing there’s a bear chasing her is all I need to NEVER snow board.

Morgan D

I didn't like avowed, it felt like elder scrolls online... But offline...

Hey kid, immacomputer

I absolutely love that Freddie gets all excited about relating Boxing to a video game like "monitoring your own stamina" as if the stamina bar didn't come from human limits in real life lol.

Gwynivere Lu

I fear and respect the hot dog person

the slunch

i think lin-manuel could be weird and awkward like ron but henry is literally the only dad that RAPS💀

SonOfABoofo

If they ever get a movie, Anthony needs to play Scam Likely.

Bearonavirus

They skipped my question about a potential Glenn Close/Scary Marlow collab album 😭

starcatmoondog

on my hands and knees glenn and scary album WHEN

Jennifer

Kendrick definitely won the big game

Aretha Tanklin

Anthony getting dunked on by the Ash without her involvement is 👩‍🍳 💋

Aretha Tanklin

Season 2 is best enjoyed by binge listening as opposed to waiting for the next episode to come out. It had A LOT more going on. IMO Season 1 will always be my favorite but Season 2 is by no means bad. My coworkers know if I’m listening to the dads based on how often I cackle out loud, and the number per episode is consistent regardless of season.

DilfTheUnruly

I feel you Anthony. I’m also a brown kid that grew up in Arizona during 9/11

Chrys

Lmaoooooo my name is Chris thank you Anthony ( I go by my middle name) but I’m NB and have always preferred Chrysta from Ferngully 😂

Fausto Felix

Something that I've realized, is that Anthony said in episode 15 of season 1, is that he was gonna make a 45 minute episode if just Paiden and Walter just taking to eachother if we teacher 6k patreon subs

The Brothers LEE

To make the maze harder what you do is add FOG OF WAR. Get a big peice of paper and cut a hole in the center. And cover the map with paper. And they can only see the maze through the whole in the paper.

C Buff

This comment is for Anthony, Season 2 is my favorite. I think season 1 is an amazing comedy dnd podcast and i think season to is a great dramatic comedy dnd podcast.

July

love them all immensely for the star trek role play in the beginning 🤣

Sheriff Teddy

Beth!! Come shred at Utah!! I can be your guide I know mostly all the ski resorts in Utah

Laura Chandler

I'm sure Anthiny B will never see this, but I love season 2 just as much as season 1. It breaks my heart that people bullied him into not dming, though I've also sincerely enjoyed Will in season 3 🥰 at the end of the day, I just love these goofy people having fun, and that's what I'm here for.

Christopher Pete

Lin Manuel MiRONda is the greatest concept. I love the comedy idea of smash cutting between him rapping with musical accompaniment in his head, then the reality where it’s just everyone looking at him like he’s insane as he raps with no accompaniment and just dances along to music nobody else hears.

Christopher Pete

I’m sad to learn that Anthony got bullied into not DMing, but I also feel so lucky that we get Player Anthony energy. He’s so good at improv, and there’s such a fresh energy to mixing it up! I’m also so glad that they decided not to be slaves to the name of the podcast. Trying to wedge in fatherhood stuff and themes was clearly burning them all out— embracing the goofiness again with a world unconcerned with daddies stuff is so much more fun for everyone, and I hope they’ll continue to follow whatever inspires them first and foremost in future seasons!

Dilly Wonka

I don't wanna be that guy but can we keep boycotting McDonald's and not let our instant gratification take priority of who McDicks is sending money to? They've spread the message to boycott em too so I'd be a little disappointed in them if they just conviniently forgot

Parz

Will, I know this isn’t you, but I was visiting a new pottery studio in Denver and I saw a bunch of work by a William Campos. If you were to make bespoke ceramic gifts for your friends, what would you make each of them?

Jakob Medlin

The videos on new games are all cool for people who use them as soon as the game releases but I think it kinda ruins the experience. Missing things gives me a reason to play the game again. Experiencing it blind is always my choice for my first playthrough.

Shannon

I LOVED season 2. It makes me mad so many people disliked it.

Enzo Calvo

I haven't heard a burn that hard since "goblin army" in season 1 🤣

Quantum OFZENTRIX

The my boys bit really got me on God that was funny every time

Lea

Guy who's only ever played video games trying boxing for the first time: I'm getting a real videogame vibe from this boys

Andrew Zalesak

Yes, that's exactly what I was thinking! I feel bad that Will thinks his mazes aren't good enough when they could have done the paper cover

Alvin Bo Balvin

Oh my gosh Beth is a snowboarder! Went to follow your Instagram for that. Fun bonus: now I can see when Beth's show is happening! Gosh I also loved all the movie recommendations.

Alvin Bo Balvin

These talking dads Peach pits are a delight!

Chris Adam

"a real renaissance man" I fucking love Matt with every ounce of my being

the chompie man

I recommend the maze system they used in stinky dragon just modified to call of cthulu

the chompie man

I recommend the maze system they used in stinky dragon just modified to call of cthulu

Will Fisher

Hot take: Tony Hawk Shred with the board used to be my favorite video game for the Wii before I became cultured and it still kicks ass. (Judge me how you wish I was like 12 at the time)

Skye the Bi

Idk why people give S2 shit. It’s not as good as S1 but that’s a pretty fucking high bar.

Bobbo

Please tell me I'm not the only one who watched The Carmichael Show

BOPO

What a whiplash to hear you guys talk about game grumps, my other nerdy tour show I have gone to see.

Marissa Y.

Freddie taking a bit and running with it has been a highlight of this season, everyone laughing so hard beneath it that it's intangible? 10/10. (Of course I'm totally blanking on other examples beyond the 1950s feet one from an earlier episode)

The Fruity Ghost

Am I the only one who genuinely enjoyed season 2

Johnathan

I just learned Ashley Burch is the voice actor for viper in valorant. That’s a wild one I didn’t notice for ages
