This show manages to get weirder and weirder...

More mystery, more gasps, and more of the hive not understanding sarcasm.

Enjoy!

Alex

she's so polite and charming with throwing a grenade the way that karolina wydra potrays zosia and the hivemind is so interesting

ClaudieTV

Yes! She's so gentle and not all at the same time! It's terrifying!

Alex

zosia genuinely waits until the last possible moment before handling the grenade and saving carol's life. she warns carol to be careful and even after the countdown starts, she's polite and asks permission before taking it out of her hands. the hivemind genuinely is determined to ensure that carol has much freedom and agency as it can possibly allow her. which makes the contradiction that it will subjugate her once it figures out how to that much more intriguing

...and it's only just begun. Thanks for being you!

I feel like if Zosia would've only cared for the hive mind, she wouldn't have pushed Carol down when the grenade exploded. But I also feel like Carol might be forgetting Zosia is part of the hive mind and start caring for Zosia. Very exited for the next episode!

I love all the little details that show how Carol is being catered to. She was feeling weird about the pilot being a server from TGIFridays, so they gave her two white male pilots. Over and over, we're being shown her privilege pre joining and how it continues to affect the way she is seeing what's happening around her.

Don Parnell

I love how Carol makes a big deal about how independent she is so the hive mind will restock the grocery store to enable her to buy a frozen dinner.

Don Parnell

Plus Zosia will live on with the hive mind even if her body is killed.

Having already watched the entire season it's fun to go back and see the things that are foreshadowed to see if you accurately catch them. There is a LOT going on even though it doesn't feel like a lot of content. For me this show just gets better and better as the season unfolds.

@ClaudieTV - First, how come you get to binge the show but we have to wait for your reactions one at a time? I want to binge too! Second, my take is that Carol isn't understanding that there are more people in her life than just Helen. For example, that the maids would know what is in her fridge or that she and Helen interacted with the hotel bellhop in Norway. She seems willfully ignorant about the people who make her life possible. She is also grieving and rushes to assume that the hive is using Helens memories when there are totally logical alternatives as to how the hive knows what it knows. Third, I think that Zosia protected Carol like the hive would avoid killing a living animal for food. It is hard to persuade or manipulate someone who knows that you can't be trusted. The hive also fawns over non-hive people; giving them Air Force One or a hand grenade when ever they ask for it. Forth, I'm excited that you're excited about the show. I'd recommend listening to the Pluribus official podcast as they talk about behind the scenes (non-spoiler) stories that are really interesting. For example, they had to build a real cul-de-sac for Carol to live on as the production crew needed a place that they could blow up a hand grenade in the middle of the night over and over again. Not many neighbors would let even Vince Gilligan ruin their sleep for months on end.

Hello. Loved your reactions to Arcane, Blue Eye and Ted Lasso, but finally joined today for Pluribus. Thanks for having me. They say they just want to make Carol happy but they have odd priorities. Zosia saved Carol's life by grabbing the Grenade but seemed just as interested in being polite about it when she nicely asked to take it from her before shielding her for safety. They seem worried about all her angst, but they are causing it by describing how hard they are working to turn her. Another thing that was interesting is they did show some hesitancy as she kept increasing the scales of damage in her asks. Maybe the grenade does not present a threat, or a tank or bazooka, but an Atom Bomb gave them pause. However, they still ultimately agreed they would give her one. Very interesting.

Rhea Seehorn's father was a Counterintelligence Agent in the Naval Investigative Service. Wonder if he read the script and what his thoughts were. LoLz That panning shot with Betty White reflected in the DVD was mint. The choreography for the Sprouts re-stocking was so well done. The grenade scene was hilarious. Carol trying to save her is just like Zosia's metaphor of "If you were walking past a lake and saw someone drowning..." If they will ultimately giver her anything, I'm thinking about a cure. I LOVE this show so much. Thank you, Claudie. See you at the next one. Cheers!

Yeah, the Hive doesn’t get sarcasm at all! The hive can’t harm any living thing, so it makes sense Zosia will protect Carol at all costs, even her own life. It does feel to me that the Hive is trying to manipulate Carol into accepting and joining the Hive. Btw, while in the plane, there was some colorful profanity exchange in Spanish between the man in Paraguay and Carol. Interesting fact that the Hive did not know about him for the first 33 days!

The hive raising a child seems like such a bad idea. I think it just shows that loving someone means so much more than just doing whatever the loved one says. Also the hive mind consistently violating Carol's boundary. It's interesting that that doesn’t count as hurting someone for the hive. And a complete lack of self preservation. Though I guess it doesn't matter that much to the hive itself. The hive cares about spreading the virus, not the sanctity of human life I suppose the grenade incident is the first time that the Hive shows to try to be learning human behavior. The Hive has trouble discerning if Carol's demand is a joke or not but it is capable of considering that it is sarcasm. The hive is like a baby learning human behavior bit by bit
