Honestly so excited for this, have inexplicably found myself revisiting this game time and time again since its release, flawed tho it may be

The most fun I had in the game was going around and finding all the weird, unique vehicles n Mainly because I am absolutely awful at reading people's facial expressions 😅 But I remember it beian enjoyable experience anyhow. Can't wait for the episode!

Robert Secundus

bizarrely, there's also a Tarkovsky The Killers, a short film (and I think one he made while he was a student?) in addition to the original adaptation Rogers mentions. It's a bonus feature on the The Killers criterion disc.

I haven’t listened to the episode yet, just saw L.A. Noire and had flashbacks to me watching Funhaus episodes of it. 😂 Looking forward to it!

What is the best way of playing this now with modern hardware? PS4 and Switch? The pc version apparently needs always on internet access and neither Xenia or RPCS3 seem to be able to run it

Yeah I am the audience! I listened to this, watched the 10 hour video, and came back and listened again. LA Noire came at a turning point in my life, when I became a mom, when I was finishing grad school, when I was discovering how much I loved video game journalism even though I actually playing video games is like a 2nd or 3rd tier hobby for me. I played LA Noire because I read rock paper shotgun, with a baby strapped to my chest, in between parsing my Greek homework. Watching this video took me back to all those memories, and let me feel like an insider experiencing ten hours packed cheek-by-jowl with in-jokes. This all made me so happy. Thanks for bringing it to my attention and letting Tim wax poetic. I loved every florid sentence, Tim!

Also it’s ABSOLUTELY CRIMINAL that the video got demonetized. FWIW I watched all 10 hours and got zero ads.
