Really Enjoying your Movie reactions Teegan and hope you post many more. Much Lubs Phill.

SpiffMan

Glad to see you taking a pause on the tear jerkers (although those are excellent too!) and glad you already watched T2 and looking forward to that. Hope you were satisfied with how well you predicted the back story for T2, that was really well done!

In the original script Arnie was supposed to play the role of Kyle Reece but because he moved to the US just a few years before the film was shot and he didnt speak english very well he was given the role of the terminator.

Raven Dark

New Patreon here, and looking forward to diving into all the great reactions you have on here. Ha, she says she isn't well versed in time loops, and then proceeds to perfectly describe the time loop. :D

Spawncalibur

That was great! Made some good points I didnt think of. Have you seen both the Blade Runner films? So damn good.

Eric

This is not true. Arnold had already done several movies including Conan the Barbarian. He originally wanted to play Reese because he wanted to play the hero. He thought playing the villain, especially one with very limited lines, would be a step back in his career. James Cameron convinced him to play the Terminator by promising he'd make the Terminator the stand out part.

Was it suspenseful? yes and also yes it still is for first time watchers. The "robot form" looked good - they really built that life size model (the torso... an animatronic, capable of moving its head and the read eyes and maybe even it's arms via remote control) and looked freakin' awesome in the close up shots... whenever you see it completely (with it's legs like when it's moving and chasing them) they used stop motion which sadly never looked very good (budget reasons) ever for the days it was made in (it is from 1984 which means it was made after all 3 star wars movies (original trilogy) and the first one of these is 7 years older and was a basically a low budget production as well.
