Oh, this is going to be good! I’m assuming if you watched this movie, then you’ve watched all of the previous X-Men movies. The amount of references to those prior movies is peppered throughout this movie. Ryan Reynolds was so annoyed at how Deadpool was portrayed in X-Men Origins:Wolverine. He was determined to set things right with this movie. And did he ever. Can we assume that you’ll follow up this watch with Deadpool 2 and Deadpool and Wolverine? 🤞🤞🤞 Can’t wait to watch your reaction to this tonight!

I have seen some of the newer X-men movies, but not all of them, and none of the originals! I didn’t realize how many references to them would be in this!! I plan on reacting to the other Deadpool movies and hopefully the original(?) x-men movies as well!!!

Robert da Spruce

This should be fun! Looking forward to watching your reaction! 😄

Dan M

Oh, then I’m glad I didn’t drop any spoilers for the earlier movies. When you say you’ve seen some of the newer X-Men movies, are you referring to the ones with James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender as the younger versions of Professor X and Magneto? Have you seen The Wolverine and Logan? I recommend watching any X-Men movies you haven’t seen yet before you get to Deadpool 2 and Deadpool & Wolverine. There are so many references to earlier X-Men movies (as well as other Marvel movies/characters) in both that will be so much more satisfying if you know the sources. And seeing Logan is a must before watching Deadpool & Wolverine. I am so looking forward to this journey with you!

I haven’t seen Logan yet, only a few of the James McAvoy! I want to say the first 2(?), but I’m not sure off the top of my head 😅

You've said you're awkward with comedies but I don't see that. The reactions I've seen you do don't seem odd at all with the comedic parts. Some people obviously fake laugh when they think they're supposed to and that's way more awkward! Anyway, I'd love to see you try some older spoofy comedies like Spaceballs or Airplane just to see if you would like it. Spaceballs is a spoof of Star Wars, Star Trek, The Wizard of Oz, etc.

I’m happy to see your reaction channel gaining momentum! I know you were making a big push for 100k on your gaming channel (big congrats btw! That’s awesome!) I hope your reaction channel is just as successful! I don’t know if you’ve seen either film, but may I suggest The Martian (2015) and Arrival (2016) Keep up the great work! Much success! (Maybe at some point you can hire a video editor to edit your YouTube reactions. Many reactors say that’s a game changer in terms of time management. Especially for a busy Mom, wife, and entrepreneur like yourself)

Yikes, watching this without having seen most of any of the previous x men movies is like skipping to chapter 20 in a book at the start lol.

🤣 I didn’t realize I needed to study before watching this! But I think I did fine. Obviously some things went over my head, but it’s not like I was confused at all!

LiteWeight Gaming / Reacting

I’ll definitely check those out!! I’m really enjoying trying new movies and experiencing new things!! So glad you enjoyed this reaction!

That was so much fun…loved seeing you laugh…and laugh…and laugh. I laughed so hard the first time I saw this, I had tears in my eyes. And I missed some of the scenes because I couldn’t stop laughing. Ryan Reynold’s comedic timing and delivery rivals that of Jim Carrey. Loved this reaction. If you’re going to go back and watch the X-Men movies (which I am here for 100%), definitely watch the original three (X-Men, X2: X-Men United, and X-Men: The Last Stand), X-Men Origins: Wolverine, X-Men: First Class, X-Men: Days of Future Past, The Wolverine, and Logan. After those, then continue on with a re-watch of Deadpool 2, and finally Deadpool and Wolverine. X-Men: Apocalypse and X-Men: Dark Phoenix are okay and should be watched if for no other reason than you just want to finish the franchise. But they’re not necessary viewing. The New Mutants…just skip it. This may be one of the newer ones you said you saw, but if not, don’t bother. It’s bad. Thanks for an awesome reaction, it was a great way to end my night.

She actually just posted a request for a video editor on her YouTube page a few days ago. Wish I knew how to do it.

Robert da Spruce

Nice! I think editing videos is definitely the most time consuming part of being a content creator. Hopefully she can find a good one

Dan M

Absolutely. If it means more content for us to enjoy weekly, I’m keeping my fingers crossed that she makes a great connection.

Yes, Angel was in The Mandalorian. The ships you saw in the background, and the one that Deadpool and Francis fought on were the Helicarriers from Winter Soldier.

Despite that, you managed to catch a lot of things that most reactors miss. I hope you pay attention to Wade's t-shirts in the next one.

I watched this movie Deadpool in the theater when released, and had previously only watched one X-Men movie. No problem. Loved Deadpool. Hilarious. I have since watched several X-Men movies and found a few only average. My recommendation to anyone: No way do you need to subject yourself to the arduous path of watching the X-Men movies to prepare for watching Deadpool. Deadpool is just fine as a standalone.

As a gamer, you need to see Ryan Reynolds in “Free Guy”, when he plays an NPC in a multi-player open world. In many ways, it’s Deadpool lite as Reynolds does his wisecracking thing to perfection and it has the same blend of humor and heart.
