This was so much fun!!! I'm glad I'm finally learning about the X-Men and am sad that I waited this long!

A fun franchise. Looking forward to you seeing Logan.

Yay! Back to the beginning! I loved your reaction to Deadpool and Wolverine…so much fun! And I was hoping you’d go back to see how the franchise got started. I know you said you’ve seen some of the movies in the franchise, not sure which ones or how much you remember of the ones you’ve seen. But I hope you watch the next 2 of the original 3, then X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and then continue on through the 3 prequels, The Wolverine, and Logan. Just a heads up though…if you do, the timeline gets wonky and can be a little frustrating. But it’s all fun and exciting regardless.

Fun reaction! Looking forward to the rest of the series! You are absolutely correct. There are plenty of non magnetic metals. Aluminum, copper, gold, just to name a few. Unfortunately, you were not correct about the actress playing Jean Grey. She was played by Famke Jansson. She was in Taken, and Goldeneye. She was not in GoT. I assume you were talking about Cersei Lannister. Who is played by Lena Headey 😊 On a technical note, You probably don’t need to let the movie run for five minutes before blurring and muting it. 30 seconds to 1 minute is usually plenty of time to sync our copy of the movie. Also, I believe most reactors record one intro for both Patreon and YouTube. Not only is it less time consuming. It’s also more spontaneous and less rehearsed sounding. Which can happen recording a second intro. Unfortunately, that would mean replacing your, now trademark, “Hi Patrons! Thank U for your patronage on Patreon” with something a little less specific. Perhaps your traditional “Hello Liteweights”? I think this would help streamline your workflow. IDK Just a suggestion. I’m enjoying seeing the channel evolve. Keep up the great work!

The only one I’ve seen is the First Class (I think that’s the name 😅) and parts of another one from that “reboot” but I’m not sure which one! I think it was Dark Phoenix, but that may not right 🤣

I wasn’t speaking about this Jean Grey, but the one from the movie I had seen from the X-Men series, Sophie Turner! She was in the newer movies as Jean Grey. And thanks for the suggestion, but I enjoy doing separate intros because sometimes I give more info to Patrons than I do to the main channel. Sorry it feels rehearsed!

Dan M

Crap! I was hoping that wasn’t one of the ones you had seen. I would have loved to have seen your reaction to that one. It’s so good. But, the one after that, Days of Future Past, is even better. And you mentioned Sophie Turner as Jean Grey in another comment, so yes that was Dark Phoenix. Although I loved Sophie Turner as Jean, that movie is probably one of the weakest in the franchise.

Robert da Spruce

Whoops! Of course you were talking about Sophie Turner. Don’t mind me. I’m an idiot sometimes 😄 As far as the intro goes. I wasn’t saying this particular intro sounded rehearsed. But I did notice you trying to remember what you had said in the other intro you just recorded. I thought it might be easier for you to just record one. So you don’t have to try and remember if you covered everything you wanted to say But if you prefer recording separate intros, who am I to argue 😊 Hope you have a great weekend!

Two thumbs up! Great reaction, and as always, a really insightful outro. You brought a great question regarding Eric’s motivation behind his plan to “convert” humans to the brotherhood of mutants. And in my opinion, the answer is in the prequel movies. That’s all I’ll say for now until you get to Logan. You eluded in your intro that you may bypass the prequel movies, because you’ve seen First Class and Dark Phoenix. And that’s understandable. But I highly recommend watching Days of Future Past, because there are several important scenes to see that tie together other plot points from other movies in the franchise . Plus, it’s really good. Can’t wait for X2: X-Men United.

This movie didn't keep my attention. Neither did X2: X-Men United. I like Logan, Days of Future Past, and Deadpool, but overall not a big fan of the X-Men franchise. I did like the franchise better than expected, and do like Hugh Jackman, but the X-Men movies are average. In my opinon, it's a long arduous path to step through the X-Men movies. There so much better content (e.g., Oscar winners, AFI Top 100, series like The Pacific, etc.) out there to react to.

As a huge X-men fan after this movie you should watch the next 2 OG movies (although the 3rd one is a bit of a mess) then I suggest "X-men origins Wolverine" (also a bit of a mess but lots of things to know from it) If you haven't watched "X-men First Class" after all, you should imo and I do think you should watch "X-men Days of Future Past" (one of my personal favorites), it combines the OG cast with the newer one. Not necessary but still more getting familiar with Wolverine would be the solo movie "The Wolverine" (another personal favorite) You can skip the last 2 prequel movies but you should really watch " Logan" then "Deadpool 2" and "Deadpool and Wolverine". Love your reactions, you are very good at figuring things out quickly and struggle a lot less than some other reactors I have watched to understand things. You watch all those and I will definetly watch them (again) with you. On another note: Cyclops uses Optic blasts, kinetic energy so they are not lasers.
