I STRONGLY recommend following this show with another Mike Flanagan show Midnight Mass. It's a greater departure aesthetically from Hill House (compared to Bly Manor) and is equally as profound and moving to Hill House. But you can't really go wrong with any Mike Flanagan show or movie.

Yeah, I think she would love Midnight Mass too. Great acting and writing in that one as well. Bly Manor felt a little too derivative of Hill House, and I didn't enjoy it as much.

I couldn't help but laugh when you said, "I did this to myself! Welcome to the world of Mike Flanagan.😅 Seriously though, I wish I could tell a story with even an ounce of the talent Mike Flanagan has. There are a few things I know I'm going to get every time I go into one of his projects. I know that I am probably going to be creeped out if not fully disturbed at least a handful of times. I know there are going to be some amazing and thoughtful monologues. And I know that the tears will probably outnumber the scares by a healthy margin. And still, I keep coming back. Because the storytelling is that good. I'd love to see you react to Midnight Mass after this show

Yeah, I agree re: Bly Manor. I've rewatched this, Midnight Mass, and The Fall of the House of Usher multiple times. But I've never felt compelled to return to Bly Manor and I think that's probably unfair on my part because it just fell short when I compared it to Hill House. That said, I know there are a lot of people who LOVE Bly Manor, so it's possible I'm in the minority.

Wow, I just realized that Luke heard that story about the little girl with runny eyes right after "getting well for the last time." Shame on me, for not cluing that together sooner.. I've only seen this show like a hundred times.

When Steven told Luke that Nell hung herself. Luke said " No she didn't ". He knew as a twin that she didn't. Also after Nell died, Luke kept saying how cold and stiff he was. He felt what Nell felt in death.

This is my first time watching and I think this show might actually break me, there’s just so much sadness in this family. I assumed the mom was writing backwards just because she was adding letters to change “come home Nell” to “welcome home Nell” but I don’t actually know.

Teegan, i have seen the show so many times that i no longer get scared by the show, but YOU have jumpscared me multiple times by catching the background ghosts . thank you for bringing the scares back for me 😅 Great job catching them, btw. Many reactors don't see them. I would recommend watching a compilation of all background ghost, but maybe wait until you check out the other Mike Flannigan Netflix projects i had some stuff spoiled by the Yt algorithm.
