Right from the off, a cool detail here is that Pre Viszla (the baddie here), is voiced by Jon Favreau, who developed with Filoni (meeting first on this show) The Mandalorian series, and of course he directed the film. Yeah they do well with the chemistry between Satine and Obi-Wan; more on that in the next episode. They riff off each other very well. I do love the sounds of the Mandalorian blasters, first heard I believe from Jango Fett in Attack of the Clones, as he himself is fighting Obi-Wan, just like what we see here. First appearance of the Darksabre, which has a story of its own in the series; leading through into The Mandalorian. Are you watching this through captions, you are reacting before the lines are said? I don't understand why people do that, who don't have hearing impairment, or are native speakers. Also a lot gets missed looking down at subs, especially in animation. Each to their own I suppose... Yes there is a Sabine who is also a Mandalorian, which is rather confusing, but she isn't born yet, so Satine will do for now. I think you'll need to rewatch Mando again sometime, perhaps once the animations are done. It'll tie things together nicely. And its worth it as all three seasons are great - far better than the movie anyway. Mando (Din Djarin) was raised by Death Watch on Concordia, around this time funnily enough, we see him get taken in by them during attacks by Separatist droids during these Clone Wars.

Mandalorian rewatch after rebels would work well

Ziro the Hutt

Yeah, absolutely. I know we have clashed about chronological versus release order here, but I would be very keen on Teegan doing release order next time, and go into Rebels right after TCW, instead of going chronologically like here. It flows so much better for what's to come, despite the time jump. Also Rebels is my favourite Star Wars show period, so can't wait to see her check it out sometime.

One of my favorite arcs in TCW history and glad you’re loving it already. Satine was def one of the best characters added to the show and the lore goes deep 💯🔥

This. Sets. Up. EVERYTHING!!!! Satine is an absolutely inspired foil for Kenobi. Their poise. Their upper-class banter and barb-trading. The highfalutin mid-Atlantic accents. Everything about them is dripping with subtext and innuendo. Also inspired is the "New Mandalore". Being entirely different from what long time Star Wars fans would have expected, these foundations allow for a complexity that the tired "warrior race" trope could have never provided.

pretty sure you keep thinking of Sabine, she's a main charcter from Star Wars: Rebels. another MUST watch. if you like the friendly droids you're gonna love Chop
