I started crying again whilst editing...wtf is wrong with me.

I love how when Armin was trying to convince everyone to help Eren you can actively see him go "oh, fuck" and make up some bullshit because he fully beleived that Mikasa would lead the charge to protect Eren.

IDK how many other people feel this way, but the way Marley is run is way to close to WWII Germany for me to have sympathy for any of the characters that supports their government. I understand that it is more nuanced than that but I still can't bring myself to root for Marley in any way, shape, or form.

we got episode 20-28 left and then the 2 final long episodes. or you can watch them together as a movie, i would recommend the movie because it has updated visuals/audio + special post credit scene. it’s called the last attack, i watched it in the cinemas it was so PIECK

That’s fair, but honestly Eldia’s government isn't any better either. At this point, I feel like most people aren't even siding with a government, they just care about specific characters. Since the show starts us off inside the walls, Paradis kind of feels like home to us. Plus, people naturally feel for anyone who’s being oppressed, so it's hard not to be sympathetic toward them, no matter the politics

Yeah, I feel that. Like I can respect that everyone is fighting for their people, but I can't help but feel nothing when Yaegerists or Marleyans die at this point. The only people I care about are the OG servey corps crew, Falco, and Gabi (post restaurant).

When do you think he was bullshitting? Felt more like he puzzled things together and understood Eren wasn't just being blindly manipulated by Zeke. With Yelena he definitely put an act though but only to cover up for the fact he suspected Eren was only playing Zeke.

We are so deep into this anime but you have to understand that the next episode or 2 changes EVERYTHING. I kind of hope you watch the final two episodes together in the movie form, but i understand if it too emotionally hard to do something like that. Shit gets even heavier!!

You can't fight the nationalism of one country with the nationalism of yours and hope for a good ending, but you also can't fight it if you don't become a nationalist to begin with. Nationalism in the end being the ability of one group to come together and defend its interests over those of the others, at its core. At least in the way it is depicted here in this show. And as the show says: "If you win, you live. If you lose, you die. If you don't fight, you can't win." So basically, even if it leads to the world being a worse place, there's still no other choice.

Siding with Eldia is exactly what the show wants you to do. It also wants you to realize that, had we begun with Marley, we probably would have seen Eldia as the post-defeat Germany. Making us question if we aren't the same as those we hate, in the end.

We had to wait a whole MONTH in the Manga after Eren's head got blown off. 🥲

Yeah, the one thing holding Zeke back is that he still cares about Eren and refuses to go forward until he "saves" him -- he wants to do this WITH his brother. So he won't give the order to Ymir until Eren comes around. I loved the three sets of brothers in this episode, it's just sad half of them are dead by the end of the episode. Colt knew he was going to die but refused to leave Falco's side; Porco found comfort in realizing his brother was originally just trying to protect him, rather than him not being good enough to be a Warrior. And here Zeke is refusing to go through with the most important plan he has in the world until his little brother Eren comes around. It's both lovely and yet so presumptuous of him. You are so right about how it's just wonderful editing in this episode. There's also a few easter eggs in that crazy stream when they enter the Paths, you could check them out once you finish the series. It's mind-boggling that so much time passes in the Paths while only a second passes outside. We could see Zeke's hair and fingernails growing out so much while Eren healed. It makes you wonder about Ymir's state of mind...

As much as I hated and thought gabi was so annoying her character development is so underrated and better than most characters in aot 🤣 the way she was able to go through a complete 180 in one season ! This show has no throw away characters everybody is just so perfect 👌

46:46 is one of my favorite shots and I dont think a lot of people recognize it but this is what remains of the 104th from season 1. It really is just 4 people now, Mikasa, Armin, Jean, and Connie which is crazy to think about from where we started. Marco, Ymir, Bertholdt, and Sasha are all dead. Reiner is fighting for Marley. Historia is Queen. Annie is in a crystal still. And Eren is well doing Eren's own thing. From 12 down to 4.

It's hilarious seeing you go back and forth between hating a character and cheering for them throughout the whole series. This anime is the definition of an emotional rollercoaster. 🤣🤣🤣 I saw something that I never noticed before and I've rewatched this anime multiple times and watched a lot of reactions to it . In this video it's at 1:17:03, right after the key moves across the screen. 🤯

Yeah I've heard people describe Gabi as the true test case for change -- if Gabi can change, then change (even though difficult) and hope for change is possible for anyone. And her arc isn't even quite done as of this batch of episodes.
