Even tho i have been only here for the Jojo's and attack on titan, i feel like your commentary has been on a consistent level here as those other shows. You give long analyses and add way more than the "that's crazy". You're doing great!

The fact that they used the game version of the city makes the shots from 13:57 way more immersive, as people who played the game know where the characters are and even how to get to those places. Almost like a real location

To make him even more of an aura farmer I just realised he also voices the dub for levi. He has an insane discography of characters 😅

I'm new here, but I don't mind the way you comment. It's an intensely written story, there are no filler episodes - it's obvious that it can't be stopped at a given point :)

Don't worry about the quality of your reactions. In comparison to AOT, Cyberpunk and Mob are a lot more straightforward storywise IMO, so ofc there will be less to discuss. This doesn't take away from the value of either show or your reactions :))

Yeah, he's pretty big, and then the whole Critical Role gig, and i hear him doing voices in WoW too ... I get a kick out of listening for him.

That was a heck of an opening to e8 -- the boss seemed just like a stereotypical jerk and I quickly wrote him off, but it was actually all to position us to identify with the mom, so it's shocking when things immediately go south in that regard -- and how are we supposed to feel about it, considering the involvement of David, the character we've been empathizing with? That episode in fact was a pair of bookends of gut punches, with the ending character betrayal which I didn't see coming but immediately was like, "Oh SNAP I shoulda guessed." Feel bad for David and Lucy. Sometimes this show's dialogue seems kind of trite, but then you get wonderful interplay between them like you discussed, two people who are inadvertently growing distant, who care about each other but can't hold it together, and we're also watching David's inevitable flameout. Just kinda sucks, seeing it all coming, and it's not even clear how to fix this situation. I just wanted them to be happy, god only knows they both deserve a reset. I had the same thoughts as some others, Steph -- your reactions are great as always, and pretty extensive. Not criticizing Edgerunners, it's just a different kind of show, but I just think the source material is a little thinner here (and the story is only 10 episodes long!) compared to AoT, for example -- but you're still giving much more thought, analysis, and emotional reaction than most reactors. I still feel like I'm living in a world of plenty, lol -- you're doing great!

Honestly same here, he's one of my favourite dub voice actors and like you say its great to get a kick out of recognising him. I remember when I found out he voiced Ganon in tears of the kingdom

so E9: TBH I was kinda disappointed by Giancarlo Esposito's performance (Faraday) so far because it just sounded pretty one-note to me, even if Faraday's a moustache-twirling villain. I mean, the first thing I saw him in was "Breaking Bad" (as Gus Fring), which was such a nuanced meaty role and established just what a great actor he is, and he seems to bring a little more even to other performances (like Stan Edgar in "The Boys"). But he really did sell me on the last half of E9, some of those line deliveries show why they hired him for this part.
