My loves! Some people were having streaming issues with the original upload of this movie so I'm trying this re-upload. I can't tell what needs to be fixed because it streams fine on my end. I went through the master too, and there aren't any problems with it, so hopefully this re-upload fixes whatever was goin on? The original is still up if anyone wants to see/respond to any of those comments 🙂‍↕️💛

I’ve heard from another creator I’m subscribed to who’s been in contact with Patreon that it’s an overall Patreon issue that’s happening for pretty much everybody. So it’s nothing that any of you are doing wrong.

Legacy Lee💞🐆

Okay I was wondering if it was only me I normally screen play them to my tv but it stopped like everyone 2 mins and I had to reconnect and play it each time wasn’t sure why 😂😭

Stephen King

I said it once and I'll say again paying 5 dollars for your Patreon is practically a steal at this point cuz we getting movies, tv shows and polls and it's literallly quality reactions.

Roman Chayok

Like this movie haven't tortured you enough 😅

Jae

We love u alanda! This movie was so sad i was shocked that pete survived bc i thought ray was the main character nice twist and a sad one! 😭

RJKPOP

It’s actually a Patreon bug that’s unfortunately affecting a bunch of other creators videos (mine included) so it’s not you :) It’s been a thing for the past few days, but apparently it’s being worked on, so hopefully they fix it asap.

diana (world of tinashe)

Yeah I noticed that it would pause at few points and then skip like maybe 5 seconds of the scene/dialogue but it didn’t happen too many times or at any key moments of the movie at least for me

Hudson Hardgrave

Help not you being forced to watch the one movie that distraught you on repeat! 😭

Alanda

😭🙂‍↕️💛🙏🏾

Cameron Ferguson

I think it’s an overall patreon issue queenie!! Because i tend to have that trouble with a few other creators vids from time to time. But I did skip to the parts I had trouble with before and it’s playing fine now 😊

Ev 180

It would pause and skip every couple of minutes but I thought it was just me. Hope all is well Alanda 💙

Xion Henderson

I think we should lighten the weight of this movie with Chucky season 3 episode 3

🎧🎥EVAN🎬🍿

Same for me. The videos usually play fine when I stream from my phone (not all the time) but when I AirPlay to my TV sometimes it freezes and skips.

Andrew

Same here, there were a few very specific moments it kept freezing at in the first vid but they’re playing perfectly in this one for me

Alanda

OKAY! That makes sense cause I was just playing this one back on a member account and I was like wait a mf minute this video is a mess! 😭 Lemme put my lil contact request in too so they fix the problem faster 🙂‍↕️

kuntpower

Imma be real, it kept pausing at random times and I thought it was my high ass since I was on a 100mg edible when it dropped. Glad to know it wasnt just me ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Calvin Tetterton

About to watch now as I’m a big fan of David johnson.. also don’t forget “ Night of the Creeps” and some of the classics you took a break from like nightmare on elm street and Friday the 13th … you will love “Jason lives” aka part 6…

Stephen King

Like PLEASE know you're very appreciated

Andrew Myrick

As if I needed another reason to watch it a second with you. 😍😍

Alex Rodriguez

100mgs omg you're an icon, I'm having 25mgs as we speak and finishing up this work day 🤣🤣

Ethan Sin

Like many people mentioned, I think it's Patreon .

Alex Barndollar

It’s a Patreon bug, nothing on your end!!

Kadiesha

I just thought it was my laggy Internet in this storm lol this movie broke me but I can't stop thinking about it

Dana (Dah-Nah)

yeah the same was happening with jaymeetsworld

kuntpower

Haha yes at the time I was on the moon and thought it was me. Today is a 🖊 Penelope day for me personally.

Alanda

100mg baby be careful 😭😭😭 I’d think I was actually on the walk

Alanda

No but like it really climbs into your psyche and nests 😭

Alanda

It’s not fixed my love, but we’re workin on it 🙂‍↕️😭

Kadiesha

I feel wild with my measly 25 mg. You are a LEGEND

mdogg20 G

Ooo okayy cool i thought i was trippin for a second but thank u my love for re uploading it i made it half way of the movie its good though and im curious to see what movie ur going to post up next?

Kadiesha

Alanda I literally had a dream that I was participating in the long walk the night I watched this 😭

Alanda

I literally watched the master on mute 💀 I couldn’t bare the weight of our combined sobs 🤧

Pop Shocked James!

Girl when I saw this I said I can't re watch again lol only did when you uploaded the first time lmao 🤣

Alanda

Yeah apparently it’s a Patreon glitch and this upload didn’t fix it but it has different lagging issues than the other one so some people have been able to see parts they were having problems with before 😭. Next is It! And then Megan 2.0 at the end of the week 🙂‍↕️💛

Dominik

This movie is so harrowing to watch. I really liked it and the actors all do a great job. But man, harrowing. Alanda, have you seen Drag Me to Hell from Sam Raimi? That could be a fun reaction. He also has a new movie out this week with Rachel McAdams and Dylan O'Brien called Send Help. I saw a preview of it and it is so so good! And so is Drag Me to Hell.

kellybean

I think it's a patreon glitch, it's also happening to the other accounts I'm subscribed to.

M Amoor

Agreed, I'm seeing the same thing on a different Patreon. It's not Alanda.

Idk how movies are chosen for the polls but wanted to suggest 2 horror movies from 2025 that are very fitting for Feb: Together & Heart Eyes.

AsiaFromBrooklyn

This movie was so heartbreaking. But a reflection of our country for sure. The actor who played McGrieves really stole my heart. Great performance from him.

Joshua Scott

I thought Train to Busan was devastating. Gurl! Gurl! The Long Walk and Bring Her Back sent me down an emotion spiral and I'm still not over it. I thought I can handle this with Queen Alanda watching with me. Nope. Nope. Cried my eyes out. I want an alternate ending where Pete & Ray live happily ever after together.

Joe Crammond

really hope you do Beetlejuice (1988) and its sequel

Stacey Gonzalez

Hi Alanda, hope all is well! Just wanted to randomly sprinkle the suggestion of Heart Eyes. It is a fun ride 😍 💌🩸

cash

Heart eyes and Clown in a cornfield are both a good time !!

Joe from Marketing

I think the one that truly got it the worst? The Mom. That poor woman.

Aidan

Christ on a bike. I think the only thing that would have made this more devastating is Mandy Moore popping up to sing Only Hope as she dies in Shane West's arms. Excuse me, I have to go sob for years.

Michael Pares

Sydney Sweeney Immaculate is crazy

"I can't see it" - I feel like a lot of people might have forgotten about this line? Earlier in the film, McVries tells Garatty none of it is worth it if he can't see the people or families. Because it will all mean nothing if he doesn't believe they're worth being saved. Garatty clearly uses this as the reason he thinks McVries should become the winner in the end, because Garatty admits he "can't see it". Sadly, McVries also foreshadowed his own future in the same scene a sentence earlier, as he'd told Garatty 'the kind of person that can kill a man is the kind unable to see the beauty in the world'. So whether you think McVries is dead or alive at the end, I think the main image we're being shown is after the death of Garatty and choosing vengeance, and due to the pointless violence he's witnessed and experienced in the walk, and hearing the cruel cheers of the crowd over the corpse of his brother, McVries has also become the kind of person unable to "see it". We're shown him literally unable to see the people or the families or the beauty in the world, hence the empty silent road. It's a sad pessimistic end, but an unfortunately befitting allegory of what war does to people. In my pure headcanon, to cheer myself up a bit, I imagine that the dark figure that book ending Garatty saw is actually this film ending's McVries, like the afterimage of each other in overlapping parallel universes.

Alandaaaa since you’re doing Stephen King works, I’m so curious to see if you’ll watch IT: Welcome to Derry. Joshua Odjick, who plays Collie, is in it too. It’s so good.

Naj.

But also Pete and Ray are the ultimate doomed love story. Oh my god it’s tragic.

Andrew

This is a movie I could have absolutely seen being made 10 years ago when pretty much every teen dystopian book was being adapted in the wake of the Hunger Games but I’m SO happy it wasn’t. Not only would we not have this cast but I think it absolutely would have been watered down with a PG13 rating and this story just doesn’t work that way. Stephen King himself said it was mandatory that they show the deaths if they were going to adapt it.

Jeremy O Dwyer

Such an amazing movie. So sad and so beautiful. So happy that you got around to watching it. If you're looking for a film that's the kind of the exact opposite of this, I saw The Life of Chuck recently, directed by your boy Mike Flannagan. It's another recent film that's based on a Stephen King short story. It's a film that's kinda got lost amongst all the other releases and there's almost no reactions to it online which is sad because it's a beautiful film with a beautiful message and there's actors in it that I know you'll enjoy. The only advice I'd give you is it's good to go in as blind as possible. The less you know about it the better. Hope you get around to it. Love the channel All the best J

Aaron Johnson

I felt changed after watching this. I felt changed again watching it with you. I’m in MN and ICE is here. It hit different.

Tim D.

The only issues that I actually encountered was that the reaction would freeze for a couple seconds, and then continue on. So I didn't miss anything, fortunately. Honestly, I only watched this movie because of your reaction. Was never on my list, and wasn't all that thrilled with it, either. Dystopian movies have just never been my thing. I saw your reply to another comment that "It" and "Meagan 2.0" are next up. Those I am definitely looking forward to! Your reaction was great, by the way..... the only thing that made this both watchable and enjoyable for me! I love listening to your opinions and perspectives as you're watching a movie.

Zach Boardman

For a film with such a simple premise. The characters story and the development of said characters were amazing. Each death was so sad especially Ray's death sacrificing himself like that so Pete has a chance to live for Pete then to fulfill Ray's wish... Heartbreaking

Ethan Sin

Alanda, this film really exposes the Road as a biological filter for adulthood. We see the system systematically murder every version of youth: Curley is the innocent slaughtered for being too young—an animal to slaughter in an "Adult" system. Joe is the integrity that refuses to be isolated; he’d rather die as a human who cares than survive as a machine that ignores. Barkovitch is the performance of toxic "toughness" meant to hide insecurity until the lie literally destroys him. The Major’s son (Stebbins) is a boy performing "strength" through cold analytical detachment, all in a desperate, failed bid for a father’s recognition. The real weight, though, is in the abandonment. These boys are left in a vacuum of guidance by "silent observers" like Garraty’s mother and architects like the Major. In that void, Garraty’s initial "vengeance" is proven to be just an immature emotion that collapses under stress. But McVries represents a much more complex growth. When McVries is slashed, in his past, herefuses to blame anyone but himself, it isn't about "deserving" violence—it's about the cold intelligence of survival. He doesn't justify the Road; he experiences it. His final act of killing the Major isn't a betrayal of his character, but the ultimate evolution of it. He finally understands his own value through the love he found on the Road, and he uses the only language the system taught him to end it. He isn't a "winner"; he's an adult formed in a crucible of trauma.

I just watched this movie on a plane ride home a few days ago… that was a mistake. I cried like 5 times and felt bad for the person sitting next to me lol

colbi mcdaniel

Alanda girl I need you to do a video to the witches of eastwick, I feel like we would have the same opinions😂

groovetheorist

I want francis lawrence and stephen king in the hands of some VERY TALENTED psychiatric professionals. Immediately. Christ.

Carly

I lowkey avoided watching this movie but I finally built up the courage to watch it with you. Alanda, bless your heart, this movie is a fucking emotional roller coaster.

Ali O

Judy Greer acting her absolute ASS off. She's incredible

Jon Edwards

It's funny how subjective movies are cuz I think this movie is terrible. The cast is over-acting like it's freshman scene study class, they're all speaking in Newsies accents, and the dialogue is atrocious (but that's a writing problem). The premise is The Hunger Games meets They Shoot Horses, Don't They?, both of which are far better movies to watch than this. Lol, but again, it's all just opinion, none of us are right, none of us are wrong.

John R

why do writers think that adding in 15,000,000 ‘fucks’ makes a good script? i love cussing, but this movie’s script/dialogue was not giving for me. i feel like modern Stephen King films of this nature, always try to emulate the vibes of Stand By Me/Green Mile/Shawshank, but it just feels so contrived and cliche. also the two leads got major praise, but tbh all of the actors were meh to me… EXCEPT for David and Miss Vylette. Judy Greer stole the show and had me choked up. i’m sorry you were going THROUGH it girl 💛 ugh i HATE an obscure ending, another reason why i did NOT like this film.

Ali O

I mean, usually I'd agree with you. But this is a bunch of very young men doing an incredibly hard and dangerous thing in a broken country. This isn't the story I'd complain about having a lot of swearing in

Hien Pham

Absolutely and utterly devastated why the hell did I put this on while working today oh my heart 😭😭😭............ it's brilliantly made and I am never and I mean NEVER watching this every again 😭😭😭...... thank you for suffering alongside me tonight Alanda....

Hey Jamie

What I wouldn’t give to watch you react to Society of the Snow. That IS as accurate to the true story as can be, and it’s heartbreaking and inspiring and your empathy would make it such a beautiful watch.

Heathaniel

Gosh 😭😭😭 after rewatching this reaction for the like 100th time over, I feel gut wrenchingly horrible for ever suggesting this movie to you..I cry, when you cry 😢 😂 great/awful movie 🫶🏼🫶🏼
