And Phil pulling out his phone to write down a gift (dying at what he said he got - peak banter) to get Dan was so cute and then Dan getting Phil the exact Advent Calendar he wanted. So cute! And your tree story with the delivery service sounds absolutely incredible (if they do it I should say). I'm also excited for Christmas and all of our decorations are up already and we just got a whole bunch of snow with more coming. So excited. The calendar turned out so good and PJ and Sophie and their team's work was incredible. You both looked stunning. And I love the sweatshirt too. That design is great. I think a name for the News Segment could be Phinformation, like we have with Phacts. Phurrent Events might be another? Absolutely hard no to Phoop and Phnews. I'm so up on the news that I knew about most of those stories. Always a bad sign when you know more about current events than most people. Your builders stories are wild - from the specific experiences Phil has had to Dan wanting to be the dreamer and Phil bringing him back down to reality land. Incredible. But good for you Phil - you do you and don't let other people bring you down. It can be hard sometimes, but I admire you for it. Definitely something I struggle with. It's funny because over the years you've both called each other so many things and all of them could be in a sarcastic way or affectionate way or both. It's funny to see how much debate there is over the smallest things. Whatever it is, it's fun. Same with all the other things people debate about. Incoherent never fails to make me laugh, as awful as it is most of the time. Watching your reactions to it is the funniest part I think. The Australia bants were fun too. Talking about the Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande semi-demi-situationship and semi-nonbinary thing and mentioning other people in the news who fit was good. And Dan, loved your whole explanation. Always love the representation, even if here in this specific thing, it didn't make sense, you explained it well haha. Yes, the Chicago River does get dyed every St. Patrick's Day. Lots of fun celebrations happen there all the time. Venice - both in Italy and in Vegas - is lovely, but I also sort of agree with you on some level, but think it might also depend on when you go. And the north and south debate is eternal. It's a thing that gets discussed everywhere you go, and throughout history. e Better word of the year: parasocial. It's about time people actually learned what the definition is. It gets misused so often. As for the new study re adolescence - based on that I became an adult fairly recently and based on some things that happened it does feel different. Similar to you both, I feel like my life is just beginning in some ways too. Congrats on successfully completing the #nopisschallenge this week. And without interference this time too! Dying over the fact that I got so many of the incohearent cards before both of you. The old idea of development used to be that 'adulthood' hit sometime in the 20s and was characterized by tangible milestones (like marriage, home ownership, having a family, etc) and was largely based on society post-WWII. I would say most birds in Australia are mean. Or loud. Or mean and loud. But the magpies specifically: they're pretty vicious. We have what we call "swooping season". It's in spring. If you're near where a magpie has a nest, they will literally dive bomb your head and attack your face. People get seriously injured. I know a guy who got his eyes all scratched up. I'm pretty sure there's even a website or an app that shows you where the danger spots are so you can avoid them.
