Hey everyone! So with the precariousness of social media currently, I've been toying around with the idea of setting up a discord server for Dust n' Dread. I'm thinking of having it be a place where you can easily see updates and talk about things, along with some channels that are patron exclusives (the server itself would be free to join of course). I would love to hear some feedback on what you all would want to see in something like that!

oh also, the server would be 18+ only, no minors.

I'd consider lurking- I tend not to chat much in discords but they're nice for keeping tabs on projects and maybe poking in once in a blue moon

Hell yes with the caveat that we would NOT need to submit IDs to the mods to prove we are over 18. (You may say 'that sounds deranged why would I ask this', but I was in another comic discord that asked that of everyone who joined, and I immediately ducked out again.)

Hell no Tldr, if you wanna and will have fun, then do it! But artist discord seems just short of pointless to me, personally. I truly dont get the point of an artist discord. If you want to maintain one of course thats fine and can be fun for you, but I personally am interested in seeing your work and staying up to date on the projects youre working on & YOUR thoughts, etc. With social media/patreon/etc, I can see *your* replies and figure out what comments your fans are leaving that are actually relevant or interesting. Discord isnt a great way of posting art etc to interact with, and it doesnt make me want to engage with your work beyond just looking at it and silently enjoying it; part of liking and commenting in public is to let you know we like it, but also to let other people we know or who follow us learn that you exist and they might wanna follow you too! And thats lost if we are trapped in a private server.
