Nick 86 is based on a literary novel, not a manga, so even if you wanted to read the manga, there's nothing illustrated that you haven't already seen in this anime.

This show only covers volume 1-3 of the ln and there are 13 volumes currently with 14-15 being the planed stories end.

Its a Japanese novel it later got a manga adaptation that was cancelled but the books are still going it’s close to the end….the books are phenomenal this is not even half of it I promise you it’s incredible. All the characters go on to evolve and the romance is just so lovely there’s so much that happens

ok, lets talk about some things.. first off all, last episode, the mortars that helped shin and the voice on the pararaid was Lena, I`m surprise how you missed the only character who used mortars in the series. Second, Lena didn`t know that was Shin, neither Shin ultil he heard her voice in pararaid third, about the soundtrack, there is Avid, lena`s version, and voices of the chord, shin`s version fourth, about Frederica asking about Shin finding his answer is about when Lena asked Shin what he wants to do after the end of war and he said that he did not have an answer to that, cuz he tough he would die in the war. fifth, about the scene of Anju coocking, before Daya`s death, Anju only used to cook sweeties, there is a moment when they arrive at giard federation that Anju is at a cooking class and a girl asks her why she only cooks sweets and that would be a problem to her "husband". Her cooking regular food its a hint that she moved foward. sixth, Shin did cooked well, thats why Anju was surprised. seventh, Theo's drawing was a representation of the 6 of them reunited at the beach quote fourth eighth, at the end they show some flashs about Fido's perspective. Who is Fido? I ask this cuz there is a shot that Fido records shin running as a BABY... So, Fido is with Shin for more time then we tough. ninth, in the last scene, Lena's and Shin's hand forms the number 86. sorry about the poor english, if I missed something remember me in the comments

I'm not entirely sure, I just know that I looked for the manga to continue reading and see how the story continued, and I found out that it wasn't based on a manga, but on a novel.

RIP to the English va (Shin) Billy Kametz, fell ill and past away and couldn't finished the last few episodes. He was an amazing VA. Makes the ending hit a little harder with the picture.

Nick you may not believe this, but s1 was basically just the prologue of the story(LN volumes 1-3). The real plot truly begins volume 4 an onward

I think they did the first season just for selling the original novels and it was a big success. the novel is going to finished the end maybe in 2or3 books and in my opinion,they may start the project again after the end of the series

The hatch opening scene and the reunion... 10/10. You should definitelly rewatch all of 86 by yourself :D. Paying attention to the visual storytelling, reading the lines and between the lines is quite crucial for this anime...

I will never understand those who say that a second season isn't needed, cause this didn't feel like an ending at all. If anything it was a beginning. There are so many questions that are yet to be answered and the true development of all these characters hasn't even started. The Anime could have like 3 more Seasons with 20+ episodes. Everything that comes after Season 1 is better. A1 Pictures PLEASE

This only covers the first 3 books of the light novels and there are 13 currently. The story isn't finished yet but man do they go on some more wild adventures. High stakes, new characters, romance of the expected and unexpected kind. Seriously, the light novels are amazing. I hope the anime comes back cause Lena has a bad B scene I'd kill to see animated. Im going to be real candid with you. Amd it might get me banned but im going to stand up for what I think should be the correct thing to do. Youre and idiot. "Why doesnt anyone say anything about this anime" you have said this about two animes. 86 and to be hero x. Think real hard. You say you love these anime but yet you dont even share it with your full audience. What do you do. Share it with a few thousand people on a paid service site instead of posting it to literally billions to see on youtube....tell me.how that makes sense. Idc "well I dont get enough engagement on youtube" who gives an eff if you love something, say you love something why would you only shre that with a few thousand people. Wjat if a season 2 of 86 never comes because enough people didnt see it BUT if you did something about that on youtibe then all.of sudden its popularity goes up and a season 2 is greenlit.....just saying, you have over a million subs on youtube. Any anime would die to get even half of those to view their anime. For all we know 86 died because you didnt share it. To be hero x might not get a season 2 because you didnt share it. And id sit there for hours to edit every single reaction on pareon from to be hero x and 86 so it could be seen and loved by everyone else on youtube. Stop being selfish and share your love. You telling a thousand people "I love this anime" in secret behind closed doors does nothing. Actions speak louder than words. I love these two anime. They defined the way I watch and view anime. "86 died because you didnt share it" well how about you? youtube is big, and having million subs doesnt mean everyone in there go watch every of his video. majority people subs for different kind of content. 86 didnt died, did you even see how many category its anime got nominated back in the day? the anime got unlucky bcause of AOT final season, Demon Slayer, and JJK. its like you had to dug through 'dirt' along these anime to find 86. well youre lucky cuz you find it. what about new anime fans or fans that only watching hype anime? theyre not watching 86, because 86 is not big enough to fight these anime. even you yourself had to tell everyone to watch 86. were lucky because nick finally decided to react it. even it does take him long enough to react to it. no creator want to reach something that isnt in the 'market'. even myself is mad that 86 didnt get what its deserve but thats how it work, 86 market isnt there, engagement isn there. in the end, all i can is 86 ISNT DYING.
