Content

All right, the break is over and here comes content again!

You're still getting refunded for October!

This is the start of November content, right on the first day because it seems fitting and maybe you'll see why in the chapter. Which is also why I ignored the 'November 5th' intended update day from the schedule I posted and bumped it up to the 1st instead

Again, I changed a major term in the story, so if you're familiar with the drafts, then antshil now = anteyn. Same idea and concept and everything, just a slightly tweaked word. ALSO, Keyd won't use the word 'frequency', because that's how it actually translates itself as a concept to Alan in English. Keyd uses the Isji word, which I'm hoping is not going to be too confusing, but I did throw a general question about that up on tumblr and most people thought it would be fine.

Enough rambling, chapter time.

I will never stop finding "dicks" hilarious. My favourite thing about reading things from Keyd's POV is seeing exactly how cool he isn't. Like, from Alan's POV at first he's kind of an asshole, but in a cool, aloof badass sort of way. By now we all know the truth, but it's still so fun to see. I'm really looking forward to the next chapter when we'll get to see more interaction between them!

It's nice to have you back :) I have an early class tomorrow/later today but I'll read this first thing when I get back home (it also seems to be DM your twitter crush day, so, while my feelings for you are entirely platonic, I wanted to let you know that you are appreciated <3)

Haha thank you! I hope you enjoy it when you get to read it :)

Keyd is so uncool. Like the most uncool. It's fun to write from his perspective since while generally I know what's going on in his head from Alan's POV, the actual written out contrast is just hilarious. And even though Keyd shows his totally uncool side in Alan's POV, all his awkward moments and totally misreading situations are gonna be fun from his view of things.

I have no self-control, so I stayed up and read it anyway ;) I really enjoy hearing the story from Keyd's perspective. He's so clueless and adorable 😊 And I totally get that the cemetery freaks him out...

Very excited to read this! (: Welcome back. Your writing is always such a pleasure to read! I love the tension in the early part of the chapter with Ahieel--it's really well paced and Keyd's panic/worry is really well done! Also Keyd's feeling about cemeteries is spooky and creepy and I like it, haha. I like how he's thinking of people being buried as being trapped/unable to rest, whereas we feel the same way about people who aren't given proper funerals. I love Keyd's determination to find and protect Rysa. I really think his desperation comes through really well! I also like how you write him "waking up" once Alan takes the spell off of him, how he starts to notice things sort of one by one. Also I didn't realize that Keyd and Rysa's wings weren't meant for/capable of any kind of distance flying. I guess it makes sense just because people are heavy and damn it probably takes a lot of effort, but still interesting! A couple of things that made me laugh--Keyd's positive thinking where he thinks it may have been as little as hours or days. I also laughed at how he was hoping Alan might already be awake like lmfao. I love these chapters because it's really fun to read Keyd's POV! Thank you for sharing this chapter! (:

Aw thanks, I'm really glad you enjoyed it! It was nice to have a chapter just done and ready to post this early in the month, too. Keyd's interesting to write because he's very emotional but supresses a lot of that even to himself, so this is actually his low-key in control and managing fairly well state, even if he seems panicked or desperate at times in his head (and outwardly that doesn't show much at all, as seen from Alan's POV). As the story goes on and other things happen he'll lose a lot more control inwardly, and that's when the outside cracks too. That's even the same with positive emotions, since Keyd was also taught to kind of moderate those too - no extremes, basically. Ahaha yeah I have a big note in the commentary about their wings (and the kind that ARE meant for long distance)! They're flying sprinters basically. They do get a bit of a magic boost to help with the weight of carrying a person, but that expends a lot of extra energy and burns through it faster. Like Keyd will be carrying Alan back to the cemetery on pure adrenaline and willpower and some lucky drafts, because he is /exhausted/ I'm having fun with Keyd's POV and I'm glad I finally got to get back to it, so I'm glad other people are liking it :)
