I wouldn't say we've hit "rock bottom," but if you've listened to the most recent episodes of the main feed, you know that we've been pretty low on the recent arcs of the Clone Wars. The D-Squad and Younglings arcs just didn't have a lot of what we love about the series. But there are two pieces of good news. First is that it doesn't stop us from having a very fun Q&A this week. Second is that we're very close to some absolutely amazing arcs.

If you haven't been watching the show, this is your early notice: Watch the final two arcs for Season 5. We'll have lots to say very soon.

Catching up on these quite late, but the old EU reason that there were not many Wookiee Jedi was that they had a harder time controlling their anger and so doing the 'There is no emotion bit.' Also in the EU there were force sensitive crystals (that built themselves droid bodies to move around in), and in the new cannon in the High Republic books there are force sensitive (dark side) plants. So it's broader on what can have the force. And in both cannons there are species with more sensitivity. Kel Dor had a whole group of weather sages, so it was rare for them to be Jedi. Miralians (probably spelled it wrong) from KOTOR2 could all see through the Force, though only some were 'strong enough' to become Jedi and actively use that ability. Deveronians you covered :)

I have the same problem as Natalie when it comes to boxes of old paperwork, and what helped me was transitioning. It became a lot easier to get rid of it all when I became allergic to papers with my deadname on them lol

BestowalDonkey8

What miracles can’t transitioning preform?

Extremely true!!

Rey is such a machines person, it's a tragedy she never the opportunity to be a nerd about making her own lightsaber on screen, ESPECIALLY since Kylo clearly made HIS defensive and wildly unstable a true reflection of himself She's been fighting with a STAFF her whole life (one thing that FITS seamlessly with coming from a Sith background), it's no wonder she broke a building by accident, she's using the strength for a weapon twice as heavy as Luke's saber Rey WENT to this VERY planet FULL of them, and they were, JUST LIKE REY, caught between the Dark and Light!

THIS is the KEY to understanding Hondo, he was beaten by children poorly disguised as clowns

I feel like what I've osmosed from Wookiepedia is that Midichlorian count isn't actually indicative of power level and the Jedi only bother messing with it because to the non-Jedi, they want some kind of empirical evidence of the kids connection to the Force if the Jedi are claiming it's necessary to recruit them, like I think there's a species said to have very low midichlorians but are profoundly connected to the Force and had a large percentage of Jedi

Balalyka Étudie

think ya skipped ahead one number on the filename

Your Name.

I think there’s another explanation at play in the occurrence of Wookiees among the Jedi. We know that some species are just more common than others. It may be that wookies are just one of the least common species in the galaxy.

The "chosen one/force" talk makes me think some of you would like the last(?) pre-Disney book, Plagueis, the Palpatine prequel book(which I think is still treated as quasi canon by some writers and informed the Emperor parts of the Tarkin book)

D-Squad and the Younglings arcs were kinda stupid and for kids, but that's the core of Star Wars, and why I continue to like the series. If I wanted my patricide and child murder and brother/sister smooching to be self serious, I'd go with Game of Thrones. Give me kids and Ewoks fighting the Witch of Endor, please!

Solomon Mars

Oh. I just assume that all Star Wars fans know who the hell Lawrence Kasdan is and how integral he is to it all.

Straysheep

Holy shit, my parents named me after a street too, Ali. I've always thought it was the strangest shit ever LOL

Chris McMullen

Best panel “Yeah, yeah, yeah, yes! Power of positivity with Dr Nuvo Vindi”

Pazuzu

I've heard that the Youngling arc was a backdoor pilot for a show about younglings who survived Order 66 and have to figure out how to be Jedi while fighting with the Rebels. It's an interesting premise but, judging by the episodes we got, I'm glad they went in a different direction

Divya M. Persaud

Tbh I’ve been recently interpreting the prequels via Rob’s “George third eye” read!! It’s just that SW needs to close the loop on the Jedi being bad and eugenicist but won’t

Trevsky

I was at that Anime NYC 2019 panel and as I recall, the guy who got booed wanted to show Tomino his hip hop inspired Gundam art and told a several minute story to lead into it. Even then I'm willing to bet he trimmed down his originally planned speech because of the booing.

Also they have a lifespan of 400 years so maybe they just don’t reproduce at the frequency of other species. Then there may just be less potential kids to kidnap…I mean recruit… every cycle

Justin Pritchard

The same ice cave in the younglings arc is a location in Jedi Fallen Order and in that game Kal definitely finds remains of dead dead younglings.

At yalls behest, i have decided to watch the next arc. Holy fuck is this the best television ever?

Kzinssie

I always liked the idea that midichlorians were a byproduct of the Force rather than generators of it. Like they're something the Force creates in your bloodstream or parasites that seek out the Force or something

Dusty Regalia

In my head canon she’s always been a Nightsister.

Patrick Kay

About The Katooni: It only appears in the *pre-show queue* for the Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run attraction (ride where you pilot the Falcon). When walking in to meet the Hondo and R5-P8 animatronics, the ship is seen flying away by the "previous crew," necessitating your party to take the Falcon. It otherwise isn't named until the Databank entry on StarWars.com called it the Katooni.

Did I miss Q&A 20? Or did you skip a number?

Landy Mandy

D-Squad was the first arc that I had to watch at 1.5x speed in order to get through it. It's wild that it's back to back with the Darth Maul and Deathwatch stuff.

juicedemon

Omg WHAT okay I need to play this game finally.

Briana Ortega

Really weird, I also thought Rael was a besalisk when I listened to Master and Apprentice. Whoa.
