Aww hell yeah. Gonna listen to this on me bike ride tonight.

Molly Weinberger

Luke Skywalker trying to tell other people not to seek adventure???

Hand Of Cthulhu

There is probably nothing that makes me angrier at Disney Star Wars (a reasonably long list) than the idea that my man, Luke "I redeemed my father, destroyed the emperor, and saved the galaxy through the love and support of my friends and demonstrations of faith in goodness in others" Skywalker would EVER try to teach the B.S. Prequel "No Attachments" Jedi commandments or even start contemplating murdering his own nephew in his sleep... It's antithetical to his established character, demonstrates no learning from the failures in the prequels, and is so boneheadedly wrong that it's staggering. It's an absolutely baffling character assassination. The EU Luke's jedi code isn't good, but it's better than that.

Zachary Jurbina

Palpatine fucking with Teckla's kids for the lulz reminds me of that comic where Thanos picks a random guy and decides to ruin his life every time his birthday comes around.

Lexi

Whoever got those 501st logs to write was cackling like an evil frog person the whole time! I love this!

Lexi

The potential for Padma to go full Eddie if they are both outcast is nightmarish but very likely having gone from a queen to the wife of a disgraced jedi turn droid maker out on the rim!

logan

The "Clones were sleeper agents" thing works better when they are side characters. The second they decided to make a children's cartoon with them as main characters they had to change that.

logan

1000%, that's why while so many people were getting hype about him showing up in the Mandalorian I was just kinda annoyed. They already showed that he's a complete failure in the Sequels, which was upsetting. I don't want them to show him becoming a complete failure now. And as much as I like the Mandalorian, I think it's impossible for them to frame that failure in a way that I will buy, which I would bet is their goal.

Stacy

Yeah, I certainly don't love the idea that all these clones we've come to love are just a bunch of evil villains who will kill their "friends and leaders" and KIDS with no hesitation at all. I get why people don't like the chip, but I would HATE it being "nah, they just sucked the whole time" Plo's Bro's would never!

Joseph Reed

God they are gonna be so disappointed by bad batch…

Kel White

joda (jeans yoda)

Tangled Macrame

With the foreshadowing / vader's helmet business, I think it is also worth noting the similarities between Padme's prison outfit and the one she's wearing when Anakin murders her.

Solomon Mars

this was an excellent episode. and no, I'm still not sleeping. Teckla will forever haunt my dreams. Star Wars is such a messed up place to live. 😭

Donald W Pratt

If the fate of the Templar Order tells us anything, the Jedi being the galaxy’s bank and holding all of the debts would not have saved them.

Ben Scott

Those Battlefront II cutscenes are utterly worth hearing in the original. Was a great take.

Brian Ihnen

IMO the prison arc of Andor gave the best explanation for the inconsistency of droid vs organic laborers: “we’re cheaper than droids, and easier to replace.” Since droids are imaginary it’s kind of vague how much they cost, so it’s entirely possible that when we see organic people doing work that droids were also doing in a different factory that’s just because some accountant looking at the spreadsheet decided that they could save a few thousand wupiupis that way.

Stacy

I have spend a good amount of time wondering what will happened opt the baby clones. They won't be adults' by the time Order 66 comes around. Do they just turn into Nazi Youth?

Solomon Mars

oooh! absolutely what's their fate? I feel like it can't end well.

Rad Rodge

This all is reason for my belief that Filoni, and probably only Filoni among present-day Star Wars writers, is uncritically committed to no attachments because he believes George made that an non-negotiable core principle required forJedi to be Jedi at all. The writing in the present-day EU always presents no attachments in the old Republic as a huge challenge that major characters question, but Filoni’s Luke and Ahsoka ain’t doing that

Rad Rodge

(So in addition to that, I take the presentation of Luke in Mando to be intended as *a correct and successful Luke,* unfortunately, not even something setting up future failures haha)

Hand Of Cthulhu

Those scenes in Book of Boba Fett took every ounce of my self control not to throw the damned screen out the window.

Rad Rodge

Weirdly I see Favreau as sort of a potential help in this regard haha, I think Favreau is just too straightforward of a Hollywood wish-fulfillment-monger to really validate no attachments, although that still leaves the Ahsoka show as a big opportunity to advance the "reformism? what reformism?" view of the Jedi

Stacy

Ahsoka seemingly being all in the the “no attachments” stuff is also so confusing based on everything we’ve seen including things that have yet to be covered on the pod. So, for her to just be all “Mando, you need to forget your son” is BS.

Rad Rodge

Her notion that to have a parental relationship will ruin Grogu’s ethics is—not cool

ETHAAAN B

"hoo-hoo ha-hum" classic vader

Blandon

Those Battlefront II logs brought back some ancient memories. I played that game a lot in middle school and that story went hard.

G Goldhar

I think one of the things I liked about the Obi Wan show is they do show the transition point between Anakin and Vader, like they didn't just slap him in that armor and he became that guy. There's a part where he's an incredibly violent, brooding, vindictive, petty monster and feels a lot more like Anakin

Rad Rodge

Yeah—the Charles Soule run of the current Vader comic was very good in that regard I think

Captain Fram

Natalie's pitch-perfect Darth Vader impression destroyed me

Rad Rodge

Wupiupi is encoded in my head forever because of the Episode I Visual Dictionary that I just read over and over again as a kid when the movie came out. Those Visual Dictionaries are almost a Patreon episode unto themselves, like they made the first physical holocron props just to take pictures of them for the Episode II book, at a time when I doubt George had even read about the concept of holocrons

Tablesaw Tablesawsen

Wupiupi Wupiupi Wupiupi The currency that's hard to get Wupiupi Wupiupi Wupiupi But you can get her yet

Verdigree

It would be wild if the organic chip could distinguish between those standing in the Light Side and the Dark Side, but with a visionary like Sifo-Dyas whose teacher studied the Sith, not to mention the living inheritors of Sith knowledge on the case, maybe that’s not any more complicated than those Sith holocrons that only respond to the Dark Side?

Verdigree

Boba Fett is the worst

Verdigree

WHAT THE HELL EVEN IS A “GALACTIC CREDIT”? Never has the CONCEPT of money and economy felt so meaningless, just glancing at Wookiepedia, Republic Credits became worthless overnight, THEN Empire Credits became worthless overnight when New Republic Credits came around.

Verdigree

Ok, it’s only in Legends that the Credit makes any sense, it’s based on the worth of the metal natural resources of the planet Aargau, owned by the Banking Clan, that’s pretty simple
