Hey everyone! We've gotta delay our Patreon episode by a week due to a combo of sickness, travel, and dayjob schedule needs!

ALSO: Instead of a Q&A, we're going to be reading the Dark Horse Tales of the Jedi series! First up, The Golden Age of the Sith & The Fall of the Sith! We're reading this in Dark Horse's "Star Wars Omnibus: Tales from the Jedi - Volume 1," but anywhere you find these two arcs will be the same. Over the next few months, we'll finish this series. So get ready to learn about ancient Sith magic, battle meditation, and the origins of the double-bladed lightsaber!

Also, to confirm, this (plus some other upcoming travel) will also probably push us back a week on the main feed episodes. But we promise we have some big surprises cooking for future content. You will NOT be disappointed.

I really love when you read comics and novels that I never would have known about or picked to read on my own. Looking forward to reading this!

Hey, great idea. Looking forward to the unfamiliar on the cast to learn The Deep Lore.

Michael Ruiz

Super excited! Take as long as you need!

Does anyone have any good links for the “tales of the Jedi series” it seems to be £20 on kindle or £32 for a physical copy in the UK on Amazon

Mr. Naps

yeah looking for any version that is not over priced atm. cheapest is $54 so far.(double the price)

I'm fairly new to reading comics, especially digitally (no room for physical issues of books or comics), so not good with finding the right digital version. For some reason the omnibus is impossible to find as a digital purchase, so what is the easiest way to get these two stories? Preferably a collection of some sort, but if I have to buy one issue at a time I guess I'll have to do that. The few comics I have read digitally so far have been bought from Amazon, but if there are better stores to buy them from and better apps to read them with than the Comixology app I am all ears.

COMIC SHOP GUY HERE: All of these issues are available to read on the Marvel unlimited app. The month to month price is super reasonable and they give away free trials like halloween candy. If you want to buy them and not give money to amazon they're available physically, usually used, for a Price but the new marvel editions of Tale of the jedi are only 30 somthing each on abebooks.com or something. Also theres always your local library. May the force be with you.

If you're like me and don't care about comics at all and have no idea how to find them and don't want to pay some nerd on ebay $70, these are on the Marvel Unlimited subscription service.

This helped a lot! From what I can see the two stories (Golden age and Fall) are in "Star Wars Legends Epic Collection: Tales Of The Jedi Vol. 2", which is your second link. It also has two more stories. So in order to follow the podcast that volume is the only one we need, and we only need to read half of it.

Chris McCarthy

Awesome, I haven't read these in forever and this is an excellent reason to revisit them. Thanks to the people confirming it's on the Marvel Unlimited app, I was wondering exactly that when I saw this post.

Coreyyy

Y’all going to the hotel? Lol

Vio Darc

I can't wait for them to get to the first Ulic Qel Droma chapters after these first two arcs and see them react to a particular planet from TCW getting it's original legends premiere

Chad H

Thank you for pointing this out. Marvel Unlimited is also $1/week for the first year right now, with code GALA23. Edit: I didn't realize this would bill all at once for $52. womp womp.

CertainSign

Hell yes, the excitement builds!

This so rules! I loved the dark horse comics as a kid. You should do the rest too. Loved all the Clone Wars era ones.

Alec

Love what y’all are doing with everything. Excited for this! Shoutout to the helpful guides in the comments

The interface is a bit clunky and might not be ideal for everyone, but I’m just gonna say that archive dot org is a website.

Well, SAG-AFTRA is doing a vote to authorize a video game strike so if you continue to do KOTOR if they strike I will be very disappointed

Kat Reynolds

i'm looking forward to more kotor content, it's chill

John D

There's currently no request from the union to carry out similar measures regarding covering struck work as there are with movies/television. Negotiations with some publishers (including EA and Disney) will resume at the end of the month, and the strike authorization vote will be open to members until shortly before that, so keep apprised of the situation before registering too much disappointment: https://www.sagaftra.org/sag-aftra-national-board-votes-unanimously-send-interactive-media-video-game-strike-authorization

Hmmm, looks like I'm buying an Omnibus. Best part about buying Star Wars books is looking real "cool" when you give them to your friends when you are done.

My copy came in at my library today!!! I'm so excited to read an entire graphic novel in one sitting instead of sleeping for my 6am shift 😌

David

“Over the next few months, we'll finish this series” does this mean the whole tales of the Jedi series? So next up would be ULIC QEL-DROMA & THE BEAST WARS OF ONDERON ?

Get a load of this guy on the cover. And I am! Getting a load. Very excited.
