Linda

Just finished the crow, enjoyed it thoroughly. Went a little dark🙄on the chest area but am very happy with it. Great tutorial, Louise🥰.

Louise De Masi

Thank you Linda. I'm glad you had success with it. ❤️

Kelle Luoma

My older son loves crows!

Rachel Ottley

It is comforting to know that even you, with all of your experience, sometimes have a painting not work how you intended it to! I am looking forward to painting this one, which I am hoping that although it will not turn out exactly like the picture in my head, it will be beautiful nonetheless.

Louise De Masi

I'm sure it will be beautiful Rachel! Paintings not turning out the way I had planned happens often. ❤️

Susan Turney

I can't print for some reason so it was as fun to draw as it's going to be to paint. So gorgeous. Thank you!!!

Annika

It was so much fun!!! Thanks again for very good tutorial!!!💞💗

Lydia Shemain

Never thought I would fall in love with a crow — he’s gorgeous — a real masterpiece — just love the colours and the feathers are beautiful, so real. Thanks Louise.

Susanne Norling

This was just awesome. Thank you, love it!

Lynn Benn

He is so gorgeous and I can't wait to finish my gardinea painting so I can get started on this one. I have lots of crows visit here at my place in sunny Qld but none as handsome as this one. Thank you for your inspiration, I look forward to painting so much more often now.

Yolonde

Totally awesome ... I am enthralled by the colouring of the crow. Thank you so much for showing us how to do this black magic. Just loved it.

Louise De Masi

I love your description.....'black magic.' Thanks Yolonde. Your crow is so good!

Rainkatt

When I click on part 1, I get part 2.... ?

Louise De Masi

I'm sorry that's really weird Adrienne. I just changed the link to Part 1 and I saved it. I tried it then and it took me to part 2. So I've done it a second time and it worked the second time. Click on the link above again and let me know if it's not Part 1. Thanks!

Rainkatt

Thanks!! Its working now! I cant wait to get started :)

Louise De Masi

Great! Thanks for letting me know about it Adrienne. 👍🏻

Rainkatt

That was my first follow-along, really enjoyed it, boy am I rusty, but I'm back at work again in my studio enjoying watercolours again!

Marion Aitken

Well ive done him. Took me all day but am pretty happy with the results. Definitely the most difficult to date and didnt have the right black but used Noir black instead.

Nicoline Mann

I love this crow painting Louise. For the wing feathers do you have a reason why you chose the order of ultramarine and purple and black, or did you just vary them with each feather like a pattern? I'm especially interested in why some are just purple with black or blue with black, as opposed to purple with blue? Thank you!

Louise De Masi

Hi Nicoline, I didn't have a reason - none that I can remember anyway. It's just part of my creative flow I guess. I mix it up a bit so they are not all the same. 💕

Debbie Maddock

Enjoyed this tutorial so much, I love painting birds. I thought because it was labelled advanced/intermediate I wouldn't be able to do this but I have and I am pleased with my efforts, I used 200lb Saunders Waterford paper so I didn't need to stretch it beforehand. Thank you for sharing this great tutorial.

Louise De Masi

That's great Debbie. I'm glad! My pleasure and thank you.

Leslie Kilchenman

wow again! Loved this tutorial...Thank you so much. I am pleased with my resulds not perfect but good for me.
