Hi everyone,

I hope you are well and finding some quality time to paint.

I've had a few emails and messages from patrons asking about tutorials that are coming up so I'm popping in to let you know what I'm working on at the moment.

I'll have the Lion tutorial ready for you soon followed by the Python tutorial.

The other paintings pictured here will follow on after those - in no particular order.

The final image of the Barn Owl and Steller's Jay are paintings I did early last year for YouTube before I had made the decision to join Patreon. Some people have asked if I'd make a full length version of them for Patreon after seeing them on YouTube. Yes I plan to do that for you. I am debating whether or not to paint another Barn Owl instead of the one that's pictured here. I'll have a think about that  🤔 and let you know. I also want to paint a few more flowers as soon as I can.

In addition to all that I am still trying to find time to practice painting portraits and figures. My plan is to spend Sundays from now on doing some figure painting practice. When I get a painting I'm happy with I will make a tutorial for you.

Thank you Louise! So looking forward to the tutorials with those washy backgrounds that the subject fades into! Also portraits when you’re ready 😉

So many beautiful projects! You really keep me inspired, thank you for your hard work! Your head must be spinning at times with all these projects on the go and doing new ones :-) xx PS. Love the promise of a barn owl, would love to see one of those snowy owls also when you have nothing to do one day :-)

Cindy Roberts

I’m so looking forward to the lion and any owl you do.

Nettie Moss

I love them all and hope to do them all - eventually - apart from the snake which I don't think I could muster up the courage for - haha! tho'have to admit it is beautiful. You will need to practise painting babies soon I think ;-) and perhaps that could include a teddy bear - I should love to paint one! I do hope you will find time to still paint when your life changes forever next year!

Lisa Saffell

Can’t wait for the goat and flamingo and until then I will keep learning by doing all of your other amazing tutorials!

These are all so beautiful! Are you planning to do a full tutorial on the Little Owl you posted awhile back? I am an owl lover and would love to paint him!

Wow, love them all, thank you so much for putting in so much effort into the tutorials. I now feel that water colour has finally clicked for me after years of trying to get the medium to do what I wanted it to do, so thanks again.

Eleanor

Thanks Louise. I am looking forward to these tutorials. I saw the video you posted on your website, about how you make your videos, et al. It was really interesting to see your process. Thanks!

Lise Bowles

They are all fabulous! Living in Florida I love the flamingo and shell! I don’t think you have a tutorial for the shell do you? I think you are amazing Louise! You are like a one woman watercolor school and gallery. Btw, why is your life going to change? Someone said that in another post. Are you having a baby? Lise ❤️

Louise De Masi

Thank you very much Lise......I'm flattered! I'm too old to have babies now 🥴. My son and his partner are expecting our first grandchild in March next year. We have a little grandson on the way. I don't have shell tutorial sorry. 💕

Lise Bowles

Congrats!!! I am looking forward to the day, I have one son and I’m 66, he’s 31 and I told him it’s about time I had a grandchild, I find myself stalking babies in the market, lol! What a gift grandchildren are!

Louise De Masi

Thank you! I'm so excited. I sent you a private message about your duplicate account.

First Louise you are going to love being a grandma. I am called GiGi. My first grandson is 9 months old and the joy of my life. Second....don’t just wait to post a figure you like...share the struggles, we learn so much when we see the journey.

Malisa Phillips

I'm all about the birds 🐦 can't wait. Ive been a lazy painter the last few weeks. Idk. I think I just needed. Break. Major frustration with one of my Billy Showell tutorials lol. I stopped halfway during my cabbage painting lol.

Malisa Phillips

Need to finish. Cant wait for another one of your Tuts 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

Leslie J Galloway

Oh me too, I love birds in all shapes and forms. Where we live we have some of the rarest and beautiful birds in the world. I’m from the big Island of Hawaii and with the rapid Ohia death syndrome that’s killing the trees (like corona for trees but with a 100% mortality rate) which is the major food for most of these native birds we’re concerned we may be one of the last people to see these magnificent birds. And no, ROD is not caused by humans.

Kathleen Gill

Can’t wait for the flamingo and the snake 😍

Emma Phlema

So excited for the barn owl
