My tutorials are designed to help you on your creative journey. Any painting you create from a tutorial where I use my own reference photo is for personal use only. They can't be sold or entered into an art competition. I write on the Supplies Lists where the photos come from. Permission is not given to paint any of my earlier paintings that are not tutorials because some of them are licensed. Also, a few of my earlier paintings were painted from photographs where I sought the permission of the photographer. The photographer gave me permission to use it, not others.

If I do a tutorial where I use another photographer's photo (eg from Pixabay or Unsplash) that is available for anyone throughout the world to download (copyright free) and use I’m happy for you to sell the paintings you create from the tutorial.

If I do a tutorial and I use a photo that I have paid for and downloaded from the website Wildlife Reference Photos in order for you to sell the painting you create from the tutorial you need to purchase and download the photograph yourself. This is in accordance with the Terms and Services of the Wildlife Reference Photo website.

If you share a finished painting on social media I would really appreciate it if you could link back to my account (be it on Facebook, YouTube or Instagram) and mention that you painted it in one of my tutorials. @louisedemasi

Thank you!

Hi Louise! Finishing this up right now. Loved this truck tutorial!!! Anyways, the front tire is not quite as round as I’d like and I don’t want to add more paint. Do you think a graphite pencil would be too noticeable or just leave it alone?

Louise De Masi

Hi Lynn, Thank you! Graphite leaves a shiny mark so if you use it be aware of that. You can always remove the graphite with an eraser if you don't like it. Sometimes we notice there's a problem because it's our painting but most of the time nobody else notices.

Cindy Wilson

LOVED painting this thank you so much!

Melanie Newberry

I’m just starting part 2. I have really enjoyed this painting so far. I think out of the lessons I’ve done, I’m learning the most on this one. (Or maybe because I’ve been practicing a lot.) All that being said, I too loved this when I first saw it. Never thought in a million years I would be able to paint it. Thank you Louise!

Louise De Masi

That's wonderful Melanie. I'm so glad you are enjoying it and learning from it. 😃❤️

Hanna

I saw your partial tutorial of this old truck on YouTube and this is what attracted me to your patreon. It’s so gorgeous!who would tell that I’d say an old truck is beautiful?!

Louise De Masi

Thanks so much Hanna. I agree, there is beauty in old things too. 💕

Hanna

Hey, Louise! I’ve been looking for a da vinci maestro brush but not finding any. Do you know of a similar one that would be good as well? Thx

Kev Jones

Thanks Louise – a brilliant learning project. Your use of minimal tints, secondary tinting/blending on damp paper and the use eradicator to create a highly textured result is extraordinary. I also liked the many clever little touches like using the wash to make it look like sunlight on a dirty windscreen. I always believe you learn more when you enjoy what you’re doing - this was a fun painting and I learnt heaps. Cheers and thanks.

Sorry to butt-in here, but if you’re in the US, you can find them at my favorite art store in Oregon, at Merri Artist. www.merriartist.com

Louise, I’ve seen many of your tutorials on YouTube and Skillshare, but like Hanna above, this one attracted me to your Patreon! Loved painting this! Took me several days and I changed the colors to have an old rusty green truck. I’m quite happy with the results and look forward to doing another of your tutorials soon! Love your teaching style!

Louise De Masi

Thank you Teresa. That's great that you changed the colours!
