While it is a coming-of-age show, it's so well written and acted that it appeals to a much larger audience. There are some fantastic scenes in this show that are beautifully acted out by both Kit and Joe. And if you like Kit Connor's micro- expressions, wait until you see Edvin Ryding's in Young Royals. And he and Kit were both only about 18 when their respective shows started filming.

You are spoiling us with 3 episodes but I love it 😀 This is an amazingly good one. I don't think it could be any better 💜 The part when Nick ran out of the room could be taken a few ways. I get that some people see it as Nick leaving Charlie because he was embarrassed but I saw it as Nick leaving to get rid of Harry so he didn't bother them. Poor Charlie saw it the first way 🫤

Man, it's waaaay better watching reactions on Patreon, where the soundtrack doesn't have to be muted and we can see you vibing to it. On Nick's acting in the kiss scene: much has been written about Kit Connor's incredible facial expressions. Hudson Williams' similar skills have also drawn plenty of praise, but I think Kit takes first prize. On the lighting/colors: there'll be more to say after you watch Episode 6. 😎 There's a very cute Easter Egg here at 33:01. When Charlie checks his phone the morning after the party, it shows the date is March 21. That means the kiss happened on March 20 -- the first day of spring...as in Charlie SPRING. That has to have been intentional.

This is my first time watching heartstopper since heated rivalry came out, and your rose/imogen comparison made me think: in a way, tara & darcy’s kiss has a similar impact on nick as scott and kip’s kiss had on ilya, to inspire them to go the next step in he relationship! Both kiss scenes are absolutely beautifully shot, and very very moving. The joy in tara and darcy’s faces is so adorable. Jacob tierney said in an interview that he loved the queer joy and hope portrayed in heartstopper, and he wanted to make something with that same feeling but for queer adults. I’m so grateful both shows exist ❤️

I recently read the comic version, and while I'm not sure its worth it for show watchers because nearly everything is in the show, there are fun details. Tori literally popping into existence at key moments is delightful.

I prefer your way of seeing it! Nick leaving to get rid of Harry and co. Charlie's reaction was definitely tough to see but Nick is such a great guy and keeps redeeming himself!

aaawwww so scrunchie, want to hug them all and feed them soup 🥣 😻 I obviously went to the wrong high school in the wrong country in the wrong century cuz there was nothing like any of this - our parties were a lot more dangerous and most of the kids were a lot meaner or maybe I just hung out with all the badies 😝 it is very sweet kids today have more places they can find stories about themselves with better role models. I hope this kind of sugary joy can help cocoon them from ickies out in the world to bring up a batch of better adjusted zoomers but I cannot say having to cope with a lot of that rough stuff didn’t make me a stronger person in the end either 🤷‍♀️ sometimes I feel ancient trying to wrap my mind around my young nephews helpless naivety
