For some, it was a romantic week to show their loved ones how much they loved them or their love of football with Kansas City's big win. For me and many others, it was another mid-February where I got some things to do. But on the bright side, I managed to do a lot and I feel happy with what I accomplished, including finishing a video that I'm quite proud of. So, with that said, here's how my week has been.
- Released my review of Kill la Kill: This may not seem like it, but this was a bit of a risk for me. Before, I didn't have much time to produce my content like I used to do, so I took an initiative to take a shortcut and make this a vlog-style review. On one hand, it does save me a lot of time producing this video and my anime reviews are usually not all that successful on YouTube, so it does allow me to use this to experiment more. On the other hand, this is a Patreon-requested review, and I don't know how the person who requested, or other who would want to make a request, would react if a vlog is something that they feel like they'd get their money's worth. May not seem like it, but this is a gamble I'm doing to see if people will be okay with this (then again, maybe I'm just overthinking this and people will still be happy that I gave them my opinion on the subject regardless). Anyways, yes, Kill la Kill was a wild ride of an anime. Not the best one I've seen, but still highly enjoyable and I get how it got quite a fanbase.
- Finished working on the next History video: The biggest thing for me that I did this week was that I finally got to finish the next History video. I spent a few days editing this all together and while it may turn out to be among the shorter history videos I've done (going at under 20 minutes), but it's just returning to this format and spending time researching on a video and explore subject I've never thought about before felt like a very refreshing experience. I'm very happy with how this one turned out and I think this will be one that many will enjoy too. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if this will turn out to be a highlight of my year if all goes well. We'll only find out next week as I will show you a little moment in animation history that is just crazy!
- Watching episodes for the next Series Review: Coincidentally, as I uploaded my review of Kill la Kill, once I was done with the History video, I started another Series Review and in the process of watching the episodes. One thing to note about this one is that this will be the last Series Review that will have over 30 episodes (52 to be exact). The reason why I'm letting this happen is because the patron requested me this before I officially changed the limit of episodes, so I let this one slide and be the last one. As you're reading this, since I still have hours of content to watch, I'm still going through the episodes, but I am about half way at this point, so I'll just need a few more days and then I'll get to work on actually making the review. As long as the reception of the Kill al Kill review goes well, I may do the same with this where I make a vlog-style review for it. But first, I'll watch the entire show before I make my decision.
So that was my week where I'm fully done with one Series Review, hyping myself up with the next video, and then putting myself back on another Series Review. For now, I'll be keeping myself on binging mode until the time comes that I start putting myself to work again next week and get more videos to come. But stay tuned, because next week is when things are about to get exciting. So, until next time...
See ya later, dudes!
