After all those reviews I've done in the past few weeks, I needed a break. I already had a bit of a busy schedule this week with other stuff to do like my podcast, acting and helping out my family, so I took the week to do some smaller projects in the meantime before I get myself into another big project. However, since I'm at the end of my reviewing streak with my schedule, might as well do a big finale with two long reviews for this week. That's pretty much the short answer of my week. The long one is this.

- Released my review of Genndy Tartakovsky's Star Wars: Clone Wars: I remember talking with the patron who requested me this and was wondering about the timing of when would be the right time to release this, as it could be fun to tie this with something Star Wars related. That wasn't easy, but it turns out that the timing worked out well, as it came out around the same time as the Ahsoka trailer. With that said, It's fun to revisit the show. Sure, maybe I'll get into some hot water with some opinions I said related to the franchise, but then again, any Star Wars take is a hot take nowadays. I still stand by that this is the best thing to come out of the prequels era, even better than Episode III. It's pretty much Samurai Jack with a Star Wars theme, and it works very well to deliver an action-packed "micro-series" as Disney+ calls it. Sure, there's not much of a story going on, but the animation and some of the voice acting is on point to keep the spirit of Star Wars true. It's one of the best examples of bringing Star Wars onto animation and I'm happy to see being a tradition now thanks to Star Wars: Visions. It's an awesome show and I'm happy to have watched it again.

- Released my review of The Secret of NIMH 2: Timmy to the Rescue: While it was good to go back to Clone Wars, I was not happy to see Timmy to the Rescue again. It's honestly very interesting to compare working on this review and the last time I talked about the movie in a video because it shows how the landscape of reviewing has changed. Back then, when the "Channel Awesome" format was more mainstream, it was fun to find all those opportunities for gags based on the film's problems and to laugh at how bad the feature is. Nowadays, sure, I can find some ways to add some humor onto the review, but the process of making it was painful. It's not as fun to talk about a movie I don't like compared to something I really enjoy. Not to mention that I have to spend hours with the negative feeling that this movie gave me while producing the review, which is probably why you don't see as much bad reviews nowadays outside of the new releases. I'm proud of the review that I made with this, but I don't want to experience that again and rather stick to stuff I like. And what good timing too because the next movie that's coming is going to be much better with Disney's Robin Hood. I know this one's a fan-favorite, so let's see if this is exactly the palate cleanser I need after Timmy's failed attempt to be a hero.

- Edited the next Series Review: Earlier in the week (in fact, it was mostly last weekend), I was able to finish off watching the episodes needed for the next series review. Maybe I've already mentioned this in the last Blog, but the subject I've watched for this is something that I'm already familiar with and have talked about in a previous video. However, now I'm asked to look at the show in a different way and talk about what I think of the series as a whole instead of looking into how it was created. It took me quite some time to record the review itself where I ended up with 90 minutes of footage, but don't worry, I cut it down to now the review will only be just over half of that (I didn't cut out anything useful, just some unnecessary outtakes). And with that one complete, this officially concludes the load of reviews I had to work with, and this one I did here should be set to come out next month.

- Worked on a couple of Art Commissions: As I said before, I wanted to take a moment to step back from working on reviews again and focus on some smaller projects to help refuel my energy. The week was already pretty busy for me with this week's podcast, some acting duties like auditions and helping out my family with some personal situations. The most I've done after finishing the series review was produce a couple more TikTok/Shorts videos and do some art commissions for this month. There was one that was a big demand to have the animated films from June working together, which took me some time to figure out how to present this and not go too overcomplicated with the idea, especially when drawing different styles and capturing their looks correctly. That's why I went with a more comic-like image to have it look more emblematic and get the message across than all of them together doing something. The other one was very simple to have me as a Canadian South Park character, which is basically building me out of shapes. Well, at least that one saved me time :P But I'm happy with how both of them came out and I hope you all enjoy these as much as the patrons did.

- Started working on the next History video: Admittedly, one of the hardest parts of this week was to figure out what's next. My mind was focused so much on all those reviews before and the only thing I was thinking of for afterwards was the art commissions. Now that I got those done, what's next? Especially when the next animated film I have to review isn't coming out until the end of the month. Guess it's been a long time since I've done this, but if I'm going back to a big project, might as well return to making a standalone History video. There is one idea I've had for a while that may not be fully animation-related, but I know for a fact that not only is the subject a good fit for my channel, but this will be one that will grab a lot of attention. I'll keep you posted on how the process is going with this, but I've literally only begun with gathering the sources and starting the script for it. This will be a very interesting journey indeed.

- REMINDER FOR PATRONS $50+/MONTH: This month's Discord Chat will be happening on Thursday the 20th at 8pm EST. Let me know if you're not available for either so I'll organize a quick chat at a different time.

And that's been my week that was more a bunch of small tasks and starting on a new big project. There may be some more things outside of videos I'll have to do, but I'll only be taking this one step at a time. I don't know what's ahead of me, but I know that I'll be very busy with a whole bunch of stuff. So, until next time...

See ya later, dudes!

Yeah, I can tell you don’t have fun doing the negative reviews. Glad Timmy’s out of the way, though, so you can review Robin Hood. Love the artwork, too!

I hope you have fun with your next historical video (I know I am going to enjoy what you are going to give regardless of the subject) after doing all those reviews lately, especially doing that negative review of The Secret of NIMH 2: Timmy to the rescue. But for your next classic review Robin Hood, I am really excited as you are now reviewing a 1970's Disney Animated movie. I am honestly ecstatic that you are reviewing this one (also shout out and thank you to Red Bandit for making the request). But I know one of the things that will be brought up in regards to the animation is the use of recycled and some limited animation (okay a good amount of limited animation in some regard). But regardless it is one of my favorites and should not be overlooked due to it being one of the films made after Walt Disney's death and still spear headed by some of the 9 old men at the time. Also I love the art commissions as they are very representative in the first with the animated film team up, and your hilarious South Park inspired art commission reminded me of the Terrance and Phillip segment from the South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut movie. Just thinking about that musical number from the movie within the movie still brings a smile on my face.

Considering part of reviewing animated films is analyzing the quality and aesthetic of the animation, it’s a given he’ll bring up the recycled animation. My prediction for his animation score will probably be a 7/10 at best for that recycled animation and the limited animation overall, but still giving points for the work and what the animators managed to do well.
