Hi! I just wanted to say that I really love IU, so this isn’t a complaint at all. I’m also genuinely happy for everyone who’s been waiting for reactions to their favorite solo artists or groups.💜 I was just wondering if it would be possible to let us know beforehand whether a video is BTS-related or not. I live in France, so uploads usually happen very late at night for me. If it’s BTS, I’ll happily stay up and watch right away. But if it’s not BTS, then I know I won’t be as invested in the reaction, so I’d honestly rather go to sleep and watch it later if I feel like it. Of course, you can react to whoever you want, and I’m sure a lot of people are excited when their favorite artists get featured. This is just a small request that would really help me manage my sleep schedule a bit better.🫶

IU is such a down to earth, sweet, and adorable person that you can't help but love. She's beautiful inside and out and always stays humble. Her voice is heavenly. She's Korea's sister. I love all the jazzy tones of her music since jazz is one of my favorites. I knew ya'll would love Killing Voice. It's fun how they are mini concerts and lets you dive into the music if you're not familar with the artist or the group. It would be incredible if you guys watched her live performance of "My Sea." She looks like a whimsical princess on stage so ethereal... It's from her "Golden Hour" Concert. She never fails to blow me away by her sheer talent, beautiful, raw, and emotional vocals and her cute innocence with her gestures and mannerisms. She doesn't look her age. She looks a lot younger hehe due to her youthful appearance and she's petite. But yeah she's the queen of ballads. Her songs make your heart flutter and leaves you speechless... 🥰

I just wanted to add something regarding the comment about ARMYs not being happy. Honestly, I think people sometimes assume that BTS fans automatically get upset whenever reactors cover other artists, but that's really not my experience at all. Personally, I'm genuinely happy for anyone who's been waiting for reactions to their favorite group or solo artist. Everyone who supports your channel deserves to get content they're excited about.🫶 A lot of us are BTS-focused simply because BTS are the artists we're most invested in. That doesn't mean we dislike other artists or expect you to only react to BTS. You should absolutely explore whatever music interests you and give your honest opinions. That's part of what makes reaction content enjoyable in the first place. I just think it's worth being careful with the stereotype that ARMYs are automatically toxic or possessive. Most of us are simply here because we love BTS. Being interested in BTS content doesn't mean we're upset when you react to other artists.💜

IU is basically a friend to the boys, we ARMY love IU, or at least I do 💜 she has a show IU's Pallete and J-hope, Suga, and Taehyung come out in it where she interviews them and they sing a few songs too. She shows up in Suga's Suchwita show where he interviews her. And yes, you should totally watch Perfect Crown 👑, she's sassy in that show, I absolutely loved it 💜, the first drama I ever saw her in was Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo. Besides, all of BTS loves IU. She's super close to V and Suga and has worked with both of them. She's also interacted with other members. A large part of the ARMY isn't as rude as many people say. Everyone loves IU I don't know if she has a documentary, but I can tell you she’s a huge deal in Korea. Regarding her life and career, this Woman went through a rough childhood after her family drowned in debt. She had to live with her brother and grandmother in a tiny, freezing room infested with cockroaches, barely finding anything to eat and when she decided to sing to save her family, she got rejected by over 20 entertainment agencies and the worst of all she got scammed by fake companies that stole her grandma’s money, which she made from selling trinkets on the street! Even when she finally debuted in 2008 at just 15 years old, her first album completely flopped, and the crowd was literally heckling and insulting her during her debut stage, but In 2010, she broke the internet with her hit song 'Good Day' and paid off all her parents' debts. Today, as the one of the most successful solo artist in Korea, she holds the highest record for Perfect All-Kills in history (31 songs) and became the first Korean female solo artist to sell out the Seoul Olympic Stadium. Plus, she writes and produces her own music, she’s not just a singer. and her acting is on another leve if you watch her in My Mister or Hotel Del Luna or moon lovers, you’ll see how crazy talented she is.

It kind of gets old when their has to be warning every time for armys, every fandom has its toxic side trust me on this especially in kpop. A lot of armys love iu and also the members do too she even went to their concert. It would be nice if their isn’t a minute segment about the fandom and I also do think some people aren’t really complaining more so on the artist you’re going to react to but more so some of us don’t listen to these artist so it would be nice to know beforehand so we don’t stay up cause everyone has their top favs some would rather stay up some would rather not. IU is really Korea's national singer!! If you want to dive into other idol actors you've seen in kdramas, i would HIGHLY recommend Park Jihoon (Sieun from Weak Hero!!), he just dropped a new song and he was a part of the boy group Wanna One (if i'm not wrong they will have a comeback soon and there are 2 other members who are also actors) and Lee Jun Young's song Bounce (he is Seongje is Weak Hero). They will blow your mind because of how different they are from their characters!!

And I'd recommend NMIXX's Tiny Desk, they are probably the best girl group right now in terms of vocals. LOL JK's crush on IU living on forever. 😆 Just so you guys know, he's mentioned her as his ideal type in an old show in 2016 when they were still teens. It's common to ask about someone's ideal type in Korean and Japanese culture. Other than that he's expressed being a big fan of hers and said that the first album he bought with his own money was hers. We don't really know how he feels about her now but I'm sure everyone in Korea is in love with her. I mean how can you not be? As far as we the public know, IU has an actor boyfriend and JK is rumored to be with one of the members of AESPA. (this is one of those cases where IU's relationship is public knowledge and everything's fine but JK's can't be confirmed because idols have a weird thing with dating lol 🤷🏼‍♀️) It would be crazy if they ended up together though. IU is known for her super long encores. She takes fan requests and can do concerts that are like 4-5hrs long. She's super generous to her fans. She did a big tour like a year or two ago and came to the US too. Also, Suga and IU are the same age and are pretty close friends. Idk if you guys read about Jimin and V but in Korea, being the same age makes people closer automatically based on their age. Since you have to speak with honorifics to people older than you or be more of an older brother/sister/etc figure to people younger than you, you can be more casual to people your own age so when people meet they ask what year they're born and form friendships based on age. IU has a show called Palette where she does interviews and sings and BTS members have appeared as guests on it. Suga also has a show called Suchwita and IU has appeared on that as well.

Fast rundown of IU if you dont want to find a guide or if no one else said anything about her yet! She actually debuted in 2008, at age 15, she didn't become popular until 2010 when she came out with Good Day (you should react to it!) It made her a big star, even gaining the title of Korea's little sister with how well-liked she was by the general public. A lot of her songs are along the lines of ballads, pop, and jazz. She is known for being a singer-songwriter as well! I compare he to a Korean Adele as she lists her age in many of her songs. Tons of awards to her name- a force to be reckoned with on the Korean charts for sure Yes, she still tours and releases music! Her latest album is A Flower Bookmark pt 3, which is a titled series she does covering old songs! She started acting in 2011 in the Dream High series (its bad dont watch it lol). Didn't act again until 2016 in Scarlet Heart Ryeo (good) and then a bunch of other shows since then! She always gives off the calm and down-to-earth personality. I haven't seen many people describe her in any other way really

I very much enjoy your reactions but i prefer to know what I will be seeing since for me the videos are uploaded a bit late. your videos are like a late night treat. i'm also just the type of person that likes to know what to expect and a schedule will ensure that. I think you guys can watch whatever you want, i just would like to know what you/we are watching.  (slight rant incoming below) I hate to say it like this but we are paying for this content and I would like to see you react to stuff that I like. if you plan on watching something that I am not really interested in, then weekly or monthly schedule can help me plan accordingly. i'm sure you guys also have subscriptions and wouldn't want to pay for something that doesn't interest you. I want to make this clear—This is NOT a threat. don't listen to me if you don't want to. Speaking as a Korean and as an ex-ARMY, I feel like a lot of ARMYs (especially the newer fans who only listen to them and no one else) have a hard time grasping that BTS— as talented and as huge as they are— are the accumulated product of a massive, shifting musical landscape fleshed out by senior acts. BTS themselves have enormous respect for the amazing people who came before them and unanimously cherish their juniors, so I think it’s important that the minority in the comments getting mad at the Geks for trying out other artists start following their example. As much as I respect them and am grateful to them for shaping my adolescence, there’s so much more to KPOP and Korean music in general than BTS. Also: as a woman, I think it’s insanely reductive to describe an absolutely meteoric singer like IU in relation to her (imo tenuous) connection to a group of men. She’s been around for almost 20 years without slipping for God’s sake, and her music has singlehandedly shaped sooooo many lives and set so many industry standards. See her for who she is in her own right, NOT by her relationships. Give her the respect she deserves.

I actually got into K-Pop through IU! 😄 I was aware of BTS and listened to BST, Fake Love etc. (The hits before the hits) but I wasn't into the lore. Watched Life gives you tangerines, fell in love with IU, saw she was a singer and made a MV with BTS V and made a song with Suga so thought of getting deeper into BTS. Idk if I'm not seeing those comments or not sure which ones you're referring to. I don't really know which one Carter was referring to either. I only saw one person saying "oh I was expecting BTS" which is not even mildly controversial if you ask me. Yeah it's kinda unnecessary to say but not that crazy considering 95% of the content has been BTS. I also understand the ppl requesting a schedule since they have different time zones. It's not something to be shamed for if you don't have as much interest in one artist as you do the other. Just because IU might not be everyone's cup of tea doesn't mean it diminishes her impact or worth as an artist. Many ppl aren't into Adele or Beyonce for example. Doesn't really change their talent or their influence on future artists and the music industry. As for those who are requesting content with members of BTS, it's only common sense ppl who are watching a channel that's been focusing on BTS to do a mashup of the new and old. well I as a current and always -Army and many more i know got to know IU thru jk and have been her fans since. We know how much the members respect her and how extremely talented she is. Although m here only for BTS, I wont ever complain about an IU video lol. She is THE GOAT. Her songwriting skills are as good as her voice. I feel like a lot of them have a tendency to say that fans who hate on so-and-so aren’t “real” Armys, but they forget that ARMY as a fandom has gotten so big that differentiating between “real” and “fake” fans is kinda pointless. Imo Armys are people who are fans of BTS: nothing more, nothing less. Some of them are lovely, genuinely kindhearted people who follow OT7’s example, and others are insanely misogynistic lunatics who have no business being online. The three groups you mentioned are common targets of the latter faction’s ire, especially following V and JK’s dating rumors w Jennie and Winter respectively.

I love IU and WLGYT, so I’m glad you are checking her music out! My only recommendation is to maybe post a schedule at the beginning of each week. Most channels do this as a way to manage people’s expectations. @yearlywise No need to apologize. I get you, trust me. I've actually looked up her live performances on my own before and I know she can outsing anyone in BTS and many western artists. I also have a Korean friend who's a huge IU fan too so I know she is super loved. Personally, I don't feel a strong pull to her as I do to some other artists. For example, I love soloists like BIBI and Sunmi just based on the vibes. I'm not a hardcore fan but I follow their music more. I don't know too much of IU's discography but "Love Wins All" makes me tear up no matter how many times I've heard it. And that's not just because the song is sad but her voice and delivery perfectly embodies the emotions in the song. IU is someone I have to be in the mood for to listen to. She has a very classic singing voice. I would love for you to recommend some songs from her to check out. Some artists and songs I love discovering through channels like this instead of researching myself because the community is fun and the Geks are fun to watch. I learn a lot from ppl's comments too so I'm excited to learn more about IU and others from this channel. Generally, I agree that it's super annoying when ppl always bring up BTS or an unrelated artist when the focus of the video is someone else but in this case I just think the ppl in the comments aren't wrong in bringing BTS up since the Geks are still on a BTS journey and they themselves were talking about their collab in the video. Here’s some recs as requested: Good Day + You and I + the Red Shoes | I’m grouping these tracks as a set to give you a sense of what her early sound was like (also all of them— especially Good Day’s three-octave note— are iconic. The first verse of Red Shoes is a meme in Korea for when people get lost lol). Modern Times, the album the Red Shoes was in, is a good time if you’re interested. A Flower Bookmark (2014) | Her first remake album of Korean classics from the 80’s to 90’s. She’s got three of these, but the first one really hits the spot for me. This album was really well received, which explains why a lot of international fans mistake these songs to be IU originals. Chatshire (2015) | My first IU album, but also a really seminal point in her career as a whole. “Twenty-Three” is now widely understood to be her response to the public hate campaign against her at the time (and will likely be my personal anthem once I become 23). “Knees” is an especially beautiful example of her songwriting; the whole EP in general is great ! dlwlrma (2017) | no skips for me personally. Dear Name and Ending Scene kill me. Love Poem | This is a ballad from her last album that fully did it for me, Love Poem (2019). I hope this is helpful !

@Nikita Yeahhh, I’ve noticed people saying “TikTok brought me here”— I know why people say it, but it annoys me all the same lol. Maybe it’s because I grew up following artists who attract droves of “fans” who only like them by association (e.g., before AKMU left YG, their comments sections were infested with company stans). Good question. I had no issue with BTS as people (and I still don’t). I owe them a lot for pulling me through my teenage years, and I still look back on 2016 - 2019 especially fondly. Imo that era was really the best time to be an Army. I think the main reason I left the fandom was because of a) the music and b) the fans. Musically, yes, I was one of those people who weren’t able to survive the English Trilogy (…my friends make a point to sing them during karaoke just to spite me), so I was sooooo vindicated when I learned Jin also hated it 😭. Fandom-wise, I got overwhelmed by the influx of new fans during the pandemic + REALLY tired of old fans becoming the living embodiment of the “die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain” quote. I felt like a lot of Armys were getting way too comfortable weaponizing BTS’ difficult beginnings and insane fame against other fandoms; I’m not saying those fandoms were innocent obviously, but I had the eyes to see that Armys weren’t just punching up anymore. Even when I was a hardcore Army, I still listened to other artists (old and new), so I was really turned off by the reigning belief that BTS “paved the way”/were “more than” Kpop. The debates about their military service hadn’t started then, but when I caught wind of them later on, I felt like the opposition to BTS fulfilling their duty was founded on the same belief that drove me from the fandom: the idea that they’re somehow “better” than the social circumstances and precedents that led to them. Also: as a woman, I got disgusted by a very loud vocal minority in the fandom who were using BTS’ fame as an excuse to attack and insult female idols. This in no way is a problem exclusive to Armys alone; since leaving the fandom, I’ve realized that internalized misogyny is basically a given in Kpop online spaces… which is why I’ve largely pulled back from them completely. And finally (and I’m aware this is a petty reason), I just got annoyed by how a lot of Armys perpetually live in the past. Like okay girl, yeah, EXO-L’s used to bully us a lot. So what? BTS literally swept the MMA awards last week. Move on. Ancient jokes like “Jimin, you got no jams” and “hey, stob it” were so overused they made me cringe. And why the actual heck are people STILL bringing up Jungkook having a crush on IU in 2026???? That was in 2014 jesus CHRIST— Sorry this was long lol but those are my reasons. I don’t have issues with individual Armys; I’m just very done with the overall vibes of the fandom and no longer have the strength of mind to give it another go :)…

Most of the subscribers are ARMY, and honestly, you’re putting a lot of attention on the negative side when 90% of the comments are supportive. That perspective doesn’t really make sense to me, because you’re giving disproportionate weight to a small minority. Who exactly are you calling out? The 10%? Over time, this starts to become frustrating. It also doesn’t help that the uploads are random and there’s no schedule. And, personally, I don’t think three videos a week are enough for the price. To compare, there are two other well-known BTS reaction channels that charge about the same as you do, but both upload six days out of seven, and they also run multiple channels. Of course, you can do whatever you want. My point is simply that, in my opinion, you’re the ones contributing to this idea of a “toxic ARMY” mentality, or at the very least exaggerating it.

After seeing some of the discourse in the comments, I kind of wanted to make a suggestion... You guys can correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems like most people are pretty welcoming to reactions from different artists/groups on the channel. Speaking for myself, this video was a nice surprise and I'd probably stick around for most artists you react to in the future. What I think some people are frustrated by, is the lack of knowing what's coming next. As a patreon on Studio Gek as well, I'll use that as an example! Let's say some people are there mainly for TWD and don't really care about WLGYT. Imagine if you stopped posting the schedule and just randomly dropped whichever show you felt like that day. The people expecting TWD would likely be disappointed because they had different expectations for what was being released. I feel like something similar is happening here. It's less about the artists themselves and more about not knowing what's coming next. Giving patreon members a heads-up about upcoming reactions would help manage expectations and avoid some of the frustration I'm seeing in the comments ☺️ And it doesn't even have to be something super rigid. For example, if you wanted to keep two fixed BTS videos a week (for now) and leave one slot open for more spontaneous videos / different artists, I think that would already give people a better idea of what to expect!! Personally, I'm open to reactions of different artists. I just thought I'd share this because it feels like a reasonable request and something that could help the relationship between the channel and the audience in the long run! I love your guys' personalities and reactions, but I can also see how the lack of communication and the unpredictable drops can (and probably will) leave some people frustrated. I think people tend to relate unfamiliar/newer things back to people they're familiar with e.g. they don't know IU's music but are familiar with BTS as an introduction or to make them more excited. Also since they're doing a BTS dive rn, they prob still want to listen to bts content and this is a good way to hear more artist's stuff. I don't listen to much of IU's music but she obviously has a much larger discography outside of the recommendations and they should have a chance to see that on its own. I don't think it's out of malice or anything but I can definitely see how it can be annoying

I think they are just a little afraid of offending the Armys because most have subscribed for their Bts reactions. And we can't neglect the fact that there are really toxic fans. I haven't seen any here and I'm really happy about it. But for example, there are new reactor channel Armys called Split Screen Reacts who made a post to say they wanted to be offered other bands than Bts to discover a little more about Kpop; but some fans started saying that they felt betrayed that people always started by reacting to Bts, gaining subscribers and then watching other groups and they demanded that they only react to Bts. I should make a video essay about Moon Lovers lol, but the tl;dr of my opinions on it is that it is neither a good sageuk (historical KDrama) nor an effective fictional narrative. The whole premise of the show— a girl from the future ~causing~ tragic historical events to happen— hinges on making the FL a Mary Sue who can do no wrong and somehow exercises an irresistible influence on everyone she meets. Instead of actually trying to adjust to the norms of this new world she’s in, she constantly projects modern standards of behavior and ethics onto the people around her (many of whom are ROYALTY)… and somehow gets away with it every time. Her personality changes dramatically towards the later half of the show for the tragedy points, but it’s hard to feel much sympathy for her bc most of this shit was preventable. The male lead is an absolute travesty of a character (even though his actor is great at the role) with zero basis on actual historical fact, and is also a toxic mess of a person in general lol. His entire origin story is reliant on a baffling misrepresentation of the political network that formed the early Goryeo Dynasty (e.g., the show makes it seem like Wang Gun, the first king of Goryeo and the ML’s father, gets married to a lot of people for the shits and giggles), and also on a weird gimmick about ~beauty standards~ that I’m pretty sure the writers made up bc it’s edgy. With two exceptions, the rest of the cast are forgettable at best and absolutely insufferable at worst (cough Seohyun and Baekhyun’s characters)— and the plot is overreliant on sensationalizing various romantic relationships/related drama at the expense of historical and narrative continuity. There’s also a glaring plot hole that’s begging you not to notice it: the FL is in Goryeo in the first place bc her soul entered the body of another girl. What was this other girl like? What were her motivations for being in the very sus place the FL found herself in when she traveled through time? Did she die? Where’d HER soul go?? The show doesn’t know haha and doesn’t want you to think about it ever :) There’s more lol but you get the gist. This show is so so so so mid and is only as popular as it is bc many international fans haven’t watched enough quality sageuks to compare it with. ✨You should watch The Red Sleeve instead✨

I think they are being cautious because of some loud bad apple Army's on YT, because right now all the videos are going on YouTube and the audience on YT can be intense at times not just Army's all fandoms, it's like twitter you know the extreme side of things. I get why they are being cautious though. I saw a request for Killing Voice on YT on their combined video and some Army's were leaving, are still leaving replies like 'dont hope for it' 'its only going to bts' and stuff like that. But yeah I get you, hating any fandom is never the solution. Though only because of those bad apples I hope Geks post more groups of only to shut them down.

Thanks for the breakdown. Time travelling dramas are always tricky because there has to be some sort of logic behind it otherwise it just falls apart. I'll try go in with a unbias view but I really enjoy palace politics and stuff like that in historical dramas so I'll see. As an Army I love watching IU reactions. She’s always been my favorite soloist. And she has been on Sugas interview show Suchwita. She said in the interview it had been years since she was on an interview show that wasn’t her own where she interviews others. She did it cause she was such a close friend to Suga. And you really get an in depth view on her whole career. A lot of her emotions. The whole concept of Sugas interview show is to have deep conversations while having a drink (usually alcohol but a lot of guests bring any drink they want)

Great reaction! I love IU and her story of upbringing is so inspiring🩷 I have a suggestion on how to do future polls and future schedules to help with organization (just a thought I had). I think it’s best to continue with 3rd generation Kpop because we’ve mainly done groups from 3rd generation. The 3rd generation of Kpop is widely recognized as the industry's "golden era" (2012-2019), so I feel like it’s the best place to start getting into Kpop. In the future though after completing a generation, there can be a poll to choose which one to do next: 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th. I feel like it’s better to organize it in generations rather than groups to avoid confusion and have better focus on groups. And it would be nice for you guys to dive into each era. As for groups, maybe on Fridays of every 2 weeks do a poll on which boy group and girl group to do. For example: BTS, EXO, Got7, Seventeen, Twice, Red Velvet, Blackpink, GFriend, Soloists. So, one boy group and one girl group have to win to get content for the next 2 weeks. The soloists option can be just focusing on a solo artist like IU or PSY. As for content, idk if you would want to go by the comments or choose among yourselves or do a poll. Either one is great! If you do a poll on Sundays the options could be: Music videos, albums, interviews, start-up(how the group formed), dance practices, funny moments, concerts/performances. And whichever wins you can decide which ones you want to watch or look at the recommended comments. But again, it’s great if you just choose what content to do, there doesn’t necessarily have to be a poll for that. Again, this is just a suggestion because I know there is so much kpop to get into and it can get overwhelming. I expected you guys to branch out more into kpop because that is what this channel is about😂 You have infinite content😭 All in all, it's your reaction channel and I’ll be happy no matter what you put out, but I thought of making a suggestion 💜

100% agree. Personally I'm already used to the spontaneity of the channel so I don't get invested in some dream reaction of mine every posting day like some others do. It has it's pros and cons. The spontaneity is fun but there are ppl having specific expectations every day that don't get what they want. The fault isn't really on the Geks. I also suggested a similar schedule to yours very early on in the channel (set days for current deep dive group and a random day for spontaneity or others) but maybe they don't like that idea and it's their channel so ppl just need to expect the unexpected and have fun. The only ppl that have valid issues are the ones affected by the time zone difference imo.

I'm still going to be greedy and hope for the Stray Kids Era to be next. I wish you could do Stray Kids along with BTS on the schedule. Sorry I'm just eager for ya'll to check out their Killing Voice and The dominATE concert film on Amazon Prime lol. But I'm trying to be patient. We have heard them say multiple times that they’re also going to react to other groups, so I don’t understand why some people keep acting like ARMYs haven’t accepted that. They literally said they were starting with BTS and would branch out later. The issue isn’t that they’re going to react to other groups. The issue is that people keep pushing them to “move on” when they haven’t even watched that much BTS yet. Wanting them to get to know BTS properly before branching out isn’t the same as saying they should only react to BTS forever. Some ARMYs may only be interested in BTS content (myself included), but it’s unfair to keep accusing all ARMYs of being against other groups when many of us are simply asking for BTS to be given a fair chance first. 💜

I understand that. I don’t mind them reacting to other groups at some point. I just think they should spend a little more time getting to know BTS first, since they’re still pretty early in their BTS journey. I think some people misunderstand that and assume ARMYs are trying to stop them from branching out, when that’s not the case for many of us. I'm ARMY, but they've watched ALOT of BTS. Nearly everything has been BTS for over 2 months now. And they've done what, 2 videos with non-BTS artists? In what world is that not "not that much" lol. I get it. You're a fan, so it will never be "enough", if given the choice. @yearlywise. I was reading the comments almost in real-time since the video dropped, and I did not see negative comments. That's just not accurate. I even have periodically gone back and STILL no outright negative comments. Not to the amount or extent that warrants it even being mentioned. They record the videos the same day, so it would have had to be recent comments. Perhaps they're talking about YT, but YT is a cesspool and all of those comments should be ignored bc there are alot of ARMY antis posing and trolling as annoying ARMY, but are not willing to pay money to continue their rouse, and that's why there isn't any of that here. I’d like to start by saying that I’m only writing this here because I don’t know of another way to make sure you’ll actually see it. I also want to clarify that everything I’m about to mention is intended to help create a better experience for both the community and geks. These are suggestions based on what I’ve observed and seen work on other large BTS/K-pop channels: 1. Upload more videos per week and provide actual Patreon-exclusive content: at the moment, this Patreon doesn’t really feel worth the cost. Of course, nobody is forcing me to subscribe, but I think this is a sentiment that many people share. 2. Create a weekly schedule: right now, uploads feel very random. That’s understandable when you’re starting out, but I think the channel now needs a more structured direction. For example, you could dedicate specific days to other groups so that each fandom knows what to expect. 3. Create three membership tiers (optional): one for the voting system you already have, one dedicated exclusively to BTS content, and another for multistans (BTS + K-pop). 4. Create a community chat: I’ve seen many creators run separate BTS and K-pop chats. In general, a chat is useful for gathering feedback, organizing requests, and giving the community a dedicated space instead of relying solely on the comment section. 5. Appoint moderators to help with content selection: even if there are four of you managing things already, moderators can provide valuable insight from within the fandom itself and help you stay connected to community dynamics. I hope these suggestions are helpful. Please take them as constructive feedback rather than criticism.

I very much agree with you. Right now there are restless comments on most of the video because there is a lack of schedule and communication. I have been telling them to make a proper schedule since the start of this channel in the comments and on discord. I even gave them examples of other channels which I personally follow like Playback boyz and Ben Kim and so on to give them options for tier settings and maybe monthly schedules or weekly schedules. For example when Playback used to never have a schedule and since they have started putting weekly schedules the restless comments have stopped or i follow one channel where they do monthly deep dives in to new groups and if they like or want to continue a specific group they start taking suggestions through suggestion drop-boxs while still continuing to swap out groups for the monthly deep dive. I feel like the miss understanding is happening when multi stans ask for some other groups reaction is that everyone thinks they want them to move on from BTS but that is for sure not the case. And yes at the end of the day its their choice what to watch and what not to but then telling us either monthly or weekly about what they are going to watch is a must. For example if they are going to explore only BTS and IU for the next 2 months let's say, there no problem in doing that but it would be good to know that before hand. Because if I join the the channel by seeing the combined video hoping they are going to start exploring that group and then they don't or don't even inform if they are or not it creates confusion. Anyways like you said I don't know if they will see this or not but I totally agree with you and sorry for the rant 🫣🫠

I read a comment from them here where they were replying to someone who suggested something similar, saying that it would end up feeling like a job or something too systematic. I understand their point of view, but then it doesn’t make much sense to bring the topic up every single time. In the end, once you put a price on something, it becomes a product. I wish they would try one of these schedules to see how it works for them like a trial run. Then, they can decide if they want to continue with it or do something completely different. But organization and structure would help out a great deal and things would run smoother with this channel. It would be nice because you would know what to expect and exactly when to expect it. But I'm afraid it's going to be random for the time-being and the BTS era will be going on for a long time since there's a mountain of content that it's actually endless.... The basic problem is that BTS already have 13 years’ worth of content to catch up on, and even at their current pace I think it’ll take forever just to get through 20% of it. Then if you add all the content from other groups, it basically becomes endless. This can’t keep going like this, neither for armys nor for multistans. Since they’re used to anime and K-dramas, they’re probably not accustomed to having a schedule because reaction content there follows the episodes. But in this K-pop segment, there isn’t that kind of linear progression; you need organization to navigate between all the different groups. Honestly, I also think this will be the last month I pay unless I see some kind of rebrand.

But unfortunately, that doesn't quite work when many fans are paying for this service and hold certain expecations. I agree, since K-pop has such a vast number of different groups that multistans such as myself and many others on here are eager to see as well as the ARMY fandom continues to rapidly grow, therefore it takes a more strict approach to keep everything in order and balanced like you said. And the exploration of new groups doesn't even have to be now, you know, they can continue to do only BTS for the rest of the year if they want nothing wrong in that but I think the issue is not knowing if that is the case. This may not work for them since they seem to prefer filming the day of. That’s just naturally gonna make things unpredictable. It drives me crazy because I’m definitely someone that likes to have a contingency plan so I’d probably film like a weeks worth of video in a day lol. But I’m also not a content creator for a reason. IU's discography is insane though! Even though she started out with Kpop, she doesn't necessarily fall under that category anymore; she's a Korean artist who also has music under the Kpop category, but more than half her music are full of ballads, R&B, Bossa Nova, jazz, acoustic folk, etc. So she has some songs that are more up-tempo, but I'd say her strengths are actually in the ballad, slower, and softer songs you've heard here. If you want to get to know her more as an artist while also listening to her music, a great place is "IU's Palette," which is a youtube talkshow that she hosts while also inviting other Korean music artists and actors. She and the artists usually swap songs to cover. Suga, J-Hope, V, Twice, Jay Park, Itzy, New Jeans, G Dragon, and more have appeared on it, and you could really tell how much respect they have of her. She truly is an artist among artists. She also appeared on Suga's Suchwita show, which may actually be a great way to be introduced to her as an artist before heading into Palette.
