I love how Jack always does the moves 😭🫶🏻 James contributes to their choreography and him & Martin have a lot of freedom for the producing process it's insane how talented they are at such a young age. You guys should definitely check out their documentary on youtube i'm pretty sure it's only 4 episodes & you get a glimpse of their dynamic and how they came together which is pretty cool. Istg Go is such a bop like when I first saw it on Tiktok I was immediately hooked and was so disappointed when it wasn't on Spotify yet. IU does some moves but it's mostly just the vocal performance, groups are fundamentally performance oriented so you'll see them with the more complicated dance routines 🫶🏻 Their energy is so insane i'm actually gonna be seeing them in about 3 weeks in Barcelona for Music Bank along with some others and i'm sooo freaking excited 🥹🤍 Thank you for the reaction geks it was so much fun !!

About the tour controversy: Cortis went on a mini tour (only 10 stops, with all of the venues outside of Korea being theaters) that didn't follow the typical kpop concert structure. The biggest complaints came from people who believe that if a group with barely 40 minutes of music is gonna go on tour, then they should fill in the time with song covers, unreleased music, and costume changes. Cortis did not do any of that, and instead played some of their most popular songs 3-5 times. The only breaks Cortis took during the 2 hour performance was a couple minutes to chat with the audience. Besides that, it was just 120 minutes of hype. The controversy really only came from Korea (day 1), both from fans and antis. The fans because they were surprised and didn't have all their expectations met (idol culture is more intense in Korea—they even get disappointed if their fav throws up a middle finger to their friends), and antis because of course they want any excuse to hate on cortis. There were no complaints from any of the other stops, only praise from fans who know what they paid for and enjoyed it. Anyways, a lot of the “controversy” surrounding cortis is just performative outrage from people who don't understand how an imperfect rookie group is getting so popular.

SHINEE was the group that popularized dance practices, which wasn't even intentional, because they had recorded them to watch back and see what they could improve on, and a staff member leaked them, and the kpop industry took it and ran lol

The only official position in Cortis is the leader (Martin, who also produces the most out of the 5). However it's pretty unanimously agreed that James is the main dancer. As others have mentioned, he's a choreographer. However I think it's worth noting that all 5 members are part of the creation process for their choreo! They all give their ideas and build on top of each other, with James being the one who organizes it. Also, while they have a lot of control and input in everything they put out (music, styling, videos, and choreo), they still have professionals collaborating with them + guiding them. I hope you guys watch their “What We Want” documentary soon!

If you want to see more of their interactions, they have a 4 episode documentary that shows their road to debut! Also, enhypen and TXT are pretty much ALWAYS on tour, and they're incredibly overworked. The reason Coers are a little upset about CORTIS going on tour is because they only have like 12 songs, and I think they're worried that CORTIS will end up like ENHA and TXT. THEO from P1Harmony absolutely hates dancing, but yet he's in a group that has insane choreography 😭 pretty much he just does his best and really enjoys performing for fans and with his members.

this was SO GOOD! thank you guys for reacting, i knew you'd love it! please do get your dancing with the stars friend on here, that would be such a fun watch! and to answer your question carter, shinee (taemin's group, under smtown like exo, red velvet and aespa) were one of the first kpop groups to post a dance practice to their song, they started the trend way back like 15+ years ago. not 100% on if they were the first, but i do know that they started the trend because they get referenced all the time on this exact topic.

mckay, if you're part of a kpop company and you don't like to dance or don't wanna have to dance in order to make music, you tend to join a band (this is quite literally how day6 were formed and they are one of the most loved bands in korea and worldwide) or become a different type of artist, venture into different popular genres like ballad or hiphop. dancing isn't a requirement to be successful in the music industry in korea, but kpop is easily the most popular music scene so i guess it helps you access more opportunities in order to make it.

When you guys mentioned how chaotic these dance practices were, I couldn't help but think back to some bts dance practices especially war of hormone(real war version), just one day, baepsae and of course all of their halloween dance practices. Suga throwing it back, namjoon getting smacked right the face, them kicking each other, smacking each other's ass, v not being able to hold his laughter and turning purple with how hard he was trying not to laugh. They were on something different. About the cortis concert, I kind of agree with the initial criticism. They literally performed some of their song 3-5 times just to increase the duration of the concert and still the run time was pretty low. But I got to know that they learned from the criticism and started interacting more with the audience instead of performance after performance of the same 5 songs. It's always a learning process for every group. They make mistakes, get criticised and then learn from it.

I am not that into Cortis (theyre so young😅) but i will always watch kpop dance practices! Its just insane how amazingly talented people are! And no bts did not start the dance practices and not the vlogs either. It was always a kpop thing! Yes, some labels should not do tours so early! but they do actually do this with a lot of the new kpop groups. The labels just want the money. Some groups learn a lot and grow as artist that way but its just a lot for any human to do so early.

So i did go to one of the concerts of their tour (San Francisco day 1) and i thought it was amazing! The boys put on such a great show and the crowd was so loud and hype the whole time. At that time they had 14 songs and they performed most songs twice and some three times to make a 2 hour show which people were upset about but i feel like everyone that was there loved it! I loved getting to hear redred and go 3 times! And the crowd was just as excited the third time as if we were hearing it for the first time
