Duane is such a weenie. Sette yells at him proper and he automatically apologises like a scolded dog. Doesn't back down though.I find the rest of the scene after this page traumatizing and uncomfortable, prepare yourselves. (like Duane I am a weenie tho)

God I have had, and needed, and have given such conversations before. And been too cowardly before. And she has lost so. Much. Blood. I guess there can be a certain breathtaking clarity in physical pain. There's nothing so comfortable as familiar discomfort and it's the easy rot of the slowly rotted moral self that can sting so very much worst of all. I am encouraged that Duane even in this at least - he does reach for her in concern, though still blind to the pain his own misery spreads.

Finally seeing her being honest about being compared to Miki is so satisfying. Glad she's calling Duane out for his bs. What is true is the question? Sette using the amulet again? Damn what's going to happen?? We can actually see if Duane was playing along earlier. When she said be with me forever, or if didn't actually work on him. I'm super curious.
