That's enough storytime. Now, to action! It's your big moment, Miss Frummagem.

DarkSette nursing off Lady Ilganyag is one of those images I've had in my head for like fifteen years, so I'm sorry for doing that to you.

guys i think maybe this bird lady might be a little bit of a weirdo

I don't even know what to make of this page.

Sette didn't run away because she has two da even if one of them is currently indisposed even relative to his normal state of indisposedness.

I wonder if Jacaranda always dies when Sette dies-- if their lives are tied together, since it seems they may share the First Soul?

Nope Noperson

I wonder… if Sette’s brother was stillborn, maybe he never possessed his half of the First Soul? In which case, where is it?

Rifter

They ain't giving her a choice. I don't like this.

Stillpoint

Sette, be nice to your mother.

Blue

Woooah we might actually get to see her real brother? Alive? Alot of questions.

Ladile

If the First Soul (assuming that it is indeed split between the twins) is what allows each incarnation to reach the khert and stay as themselves after death...then that would mean that Sette's brother is present in the khert in the same way that FirstSette and FirstJac are and all she needs to do is go to him. Otherwise, my guess would be that Sette also has this piece but can't do anything with it herself because it was designed for her brother. As an aside, I've still got my doubts that Sette's brother was actually stillborn rather than surreptitiously murdered during or immediately after the delivery, mainly because the story and Lady I's plan seem to hinge on this Sette not having her brother around. Though I also suspect that even if Sette's Jac had lived Nary would've soon tossed him into the sea or sold him to a traveling circus or something so the end result would've largely been the same.

Everyone's rolling around in lion theories and I'm still emotionally grappling with the part where there's an untold number of Settes and Jacs roaming around in the Khert. The horror of that one panel of the Man in a time that never was, surrounded by an ever-increasing string of ghost children he condemned to short and brutal lives, come to hang out with him forever in the empty grey place. WACKY FUN. Totally sane family unit.

Okay, but... if Lady I snatched the first soul to stop the Sette/Jac incarnations, why does our Sette exist? Did the soul get away? Did she send it out again intentionally and altered the conditions (maybe by taking away Sette's brother)?

Noxae

Jac really looks like he knows exactly what's going to happen and he feels so sad and guilty about it... And is Sette's brother somewhere in the khert?? If we end up seeing him and they're reunited I will cry.

So curious how Murkoph fits into this whole cleaned up version of her own story as told by Lady L ...

Drewb

It seems like Sette’s soul is NOT bound up in the khert like other humans. Does the original Sette remember the Big Mistake? Or was her memory similarly overwritten like the Man’s?
