As Miracle Max would tell you, he's only mostly dead.

Some TMI, but when my grandma had a stroke and was essentially braindead, it took her body a few days to die. Fluid ran endlessly from her nose, and her eyes and lips got scabby and dark. I based poor Roger's look on that image burned indelibly into my memory.

But that Maha never lets a braindead boy go to waste. So tidy, so economical.

Okay this was my first instinct but the conspiracy theorists had me second guessing myself into thinking it was an Adelier.

Well. At least she's putting him out of his misery... Whatever of him there's left, that is :( RIP you beautiful complicated twink.

Aside from the big reveal (efficient! 👏), I'm wondering how that huge woman -- which *definitely* looked like a statue on the last page -- is opening her hand to pass the torch?

I have nothing clever to say! Guess Keon lives to crabhand another day, haha. I love the little squishes balloons and how they contrast with the grim scene. Looks like the elusive little guys are on their way to be mythologized from now on in Cresce.

Yes! My original second guess, that quickly turned to my main theory! She can use this for political gain while simultaneously putting her friend, who's basically just a brain dead a shell at this point, to proper rest.

Roger would be down with this i think, he's not using the body anymore after all, what's some more people hating him... all the world hates Roger Foi-Hellick after all...

Deep in my heart, I knew it was gonna be Roger [ :( ], but also i put my PhD on the line with this one and I was getting Nervous....

Farewell, red twink. I really am sad to see him go, I liked his design and personality, both will be gone soon. You better add more bishies in book two T_T

Nikaleles

watching cassie sweat bullets in real time is almost as entertaining as the comic

I work in long term care, and, yeah, people can look pretty rough before they go. Kinda sad Roger had to “stay alive” long enough for this, but at least it’ll be over

Ah yes! I’m sure Lem will be dying in a much more tragic way~

CD

Oh thank goodness. I didn't think it really made narrative sense to be Lem but I was nervously ready to discover it did make sense!! This, though, seemed to fit best. Recycling 😊

I’m sorry you had to see your grandmother like that. 🥲 I hope she lived a good life.

Damn Ashley, this page is giving me the chills. Poor Rodger is being discarded in such a brutal, callous way after having spent his everything for his cause. I did not think that Queen Sonorie was this deep into the "the ends justify the means"-mindset. Well his soul has been thoroughly nommed I think, so that is "just" his body that will die in agony. At least the squid-people can draw a thorough line between those two, lucky for them. I love your work.

All my guesses and suppositions aside, this really is the only thing that makes sense for Maha. Her own beloved husband put to the flame. She didn’t waste the chance to connect herself to Crescia with that story, either. Well done. Side note: your grandma, my dad. Oof. I feel you…

Alight

Oddly, this is almost a kindly end for him. If Alds find burial horrible and cremation merciful, and he's already functionally dead…
