Maomao may have mentioned building up a bit of a tolerance to poisons, but that's not complete immunity. A fatal one can and will still kill her. Prosopagnosia is the name of the face thing. This show is the third time I've come across it and easily the most sympathetic depiction. And I'm not including A Silent Voice because he can tell the difference between faces, he's just not looking at them, which is the same problem I have. If I actually pay attention, the differences are there. I'm not sure if it's the same thing because I don't know what normal is or if I'm there or not. But like, I think "normal" people can look at Maomao and instantly recognise her eyes are blue. I have to put actual effort into noticing, including having effort to remember that's a detail to pay attention to in the first place. As opposed to hair colour which is just obvious. I'm not sure if I'm making any sense or not XD

Yes, but anyone knowledgeable of her tolerance (tbf, apparently Lakan really isn't) should be aware in a matter of "three doses of this would be lethal", her going up against pretty much anyone other than the main character of The Princess Bride is a completely unfair challenge. I would feel differently if it was something more instantly lethal, but she was precise in her explanation, even if it was misleading. I wonder how similar it is to Aphantasia (inability or severely lacking ability to conjure images in the mind) It's weird, I've always been pretty horrible with faces, but not to the point that I think I have a condition, but like you say, it's hard to gauge normal.
