####### EPISODE SPOILER REVIEW BELOW! APPARENTLY SOME OF YOU ARE WATCHING FOR THE FIRST TIME ALONG SIDE ME, SO PLEASE DON'T READ BEYOND THIS POINT UNTIL YOU HAVE SEEN THE EPISODE YOURSELF! ######

------

Another great ep! All is revealed and we have now have Angel vs Darla! Loved their discussion about how Darla is human now, I do wonder if what she has done will start to weigh on her!

Lovely seeing Drew back! It has been a hot minute! It may be just a random cameo, but would love to see her vamp self back eventually (be it Angel or Buffy).

Gunn is frickin' smart here! I would never have thought of the thing he did regarding Angel entering the house! XD

I wait all this time to finally predict that we have seen the last of Kate... and then Kate shows up! XD

This does kinda feel like the first part of the 'main story' for this season, and I am all up for it! :)

Hope you guys are having a great week!

As always, if you click the video just after this post, you may need to  download it first.  This should be fixed in a couple of hours!

The flashback with Dru and Angelus as the Priest was from Buffy season 2 E21 Becoming part 1. Angel didn't bite Darla, he just scraped his teeth against her neck. Wang Chung was a band in the '80's and had a couple of hits: Dance Hall Days and Everybody Have Fun Tonight. Both songs had Music Videos on MTV in moderately heavy rotation.

Dru's presence in this episode, like most flashbacks, seems to be about the past informing the present. Specifically, how Angel once intimately played the same kinds of head games now being played against him - and he knows from what he did to Dru that they work. Perhaps part of him even feels he deserves it.

Amusing how you were lamenting the lack of Dru in the last Buffy reaction, and she appears in the very next Angel episode XD

Totally agree that Kate is frustrating, she’s just determined to hate Angel because of what happens to her father. When Kate was talking to Darla, I actually thought Kate would remember that vampires can’t enter without permission and catch her out in a lie. Angel didn’t bite her just scraped. I think Dru is a really interesting character as well, did you notice she wasn’t crazy when we first saw her in the street but she was by the time Angel had finished tormenting her and killed her family. What your like as a person determines what you’ll be like as a vampire. It’s why Drusilla was crazy and psychic, why Darla and Angel were so vicious and cruel, because they weren’t good people to begin with, why Harmony is still ditzy and why Jesse still wanted Cordelia, they’re still the people they were just lacking whatever restraint they’re conscience/soul provided.

Wang Chung did the soundtrack for the film, To Live and Die in L.A., which inspired the title of season one's, "To Shanshu in L.A." So this was a sort of callback to that. They've never actually introduced Drusilla in this show. So they are laying the groundwork. Fleshing out Angel's vampire family. It was all in Buffy where they showed the other Dru flashbacks. Plus Angel admits, letting his inner Angelus admit, that he has a "thing for convents".

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this to you yet, Veggie, but you should definitely watch Buffy Season 5 Ep7 and Angel Season 2 Ep7 on the same day back to back, as they were originally aired and meant to be viewed. Sorry, I know it doesn't relate to this ep and you still have one more Angel ep to go before you get there but just wanted to put it out there!
