RIP Nicholas Brendon!

Jake M

I'd just arrived in San Diego for Comic Con (where I met Felicia Day, coincidentally) when I learned Chester from Linkin Park and Deborah Watling (a companion from Pat Troughton's era of Doctor Who) had both passed. It was not a good start to the adventure! :(

VeggieGamer

That is a coincidence with meeting Day! I don't think I have seen Watling yet in my journey my brother has me going on. I'll have to look out for her in the future!

Jake M

Sadly a lot of her episodes are missing (although it's great news that they found two more of Hartnell's), but Tomb of the Cybermen, the Web of Fear and Enemy of the World are the main ones to watch her in- she plays Victoria. I highly recommend the latter!!!

VeggieGamer

Oh! We have watched Tomb! That was a good one!

I assume Andrew meant Episode I of Star Wars bored because that's the reputation of that movie.

VeggieGamer

Ooh, great call! There was a time I would have known it as 'episode I', but not for a long time! My bad!

I mainly haven't minded the Potentials so far (outside of the purposeful annoyance they were engaging in in this episode), but Kennedy... grates. Otherwise, yeah, this was a good episode! Still a bit tired of all the Spike focus, though. I love Spike for what he was in seasons 2 - 5, but it's too much for me at this point. Sorry to this man 😆

thompur

I highly recommend "The Road Warrior' and "Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome"!

I like that the Potentials have a variety of levels of Slayer knowledge and skill ('regular' skill, that is, not Slayer super-skill), because the show has established that this is something that is not consistent in this world. We have the polar opposite examples of Buffy, completely uninformed and hit with her powers totally out of the blue, and Kendra, training and studying with a Watcher all her life for the possibility of being activated. So it's cool to see the Potentials all coming from different places along that spectrum!

Madikuma95

I'd say as far as the Potentials go, I remember really disliking Kennedy, but I feel like that's a common fandom opinion. 🤔

SapientButterfly

Ahh I love Felicia Day, had totally forgotten she was in Buffy! To me she is always Charlie ❤️ Rona is pretty irritating at this stage, but I can understand where she's coming from I suppose. Still don't want it to continue too much though.

Garry (Not Jerry)

I said it before and I'll say it again. You should watch "Dr Horrible's Sing-Along Blog" - It's a short film by Joss Whedon (it's as long as an episode of Buffy) and it has Felicia Day in it! Maybe something for when you've finished with Buffy?

Kongolor

I think the potentials just feel like a lot of characters getting thrown at the viewer in the final season when we kinda wanna spend time with the cast that we've come to know over the years, they kinda rub people up the wrong way on the initial appearance but the way they act is realistic for the situation, imo at least.
