Content

Hi guys! Had a few things to ask / mention on here so thought I would put it all into one blog!  :)

First a quick heads up, the next Potter Book Review is well on the way and will hopefully be with you by Monday! I also intend on posting another 'deleted scenes' video straight to the Youtube Channel tomorrow, but don't worry, I still have the 20th anni, Snape and the Marauders and countless other potter content to get to you as Early Access here soon!

When it comes to what's next MOVIE wise.. I am a lil torn.  I think Lord of the Rings is the big series people want (note I HAVE seen Fellowship so that one film will be a 'rewatch'), but also get a lot of requests to jump straight into Fantastic Beasts.  Then there is Hunger Games too!

It could make sense that I cover a single standalone movie next, as I have a few that have been suggested.  So far I think the one that gets recommended the most is The Green Mile, which will be a change of pace for sure!

Either way, I have got a lil poll here to see what the vibe is with you lot! :) Only left a few options here, but if there is any other MOVIES else the majority would really like to see before these (I will be covering them all over time of course), then let me know in the comments!

And if you think I should try and do them at the same time rather than a series at a time, let me know! I'll still get movies out ASAP, but will mix up the order instead of doing them one series at a time.

Oh and I should note, TV series like Buffy, etc, are separate from this! Hope to jump into that soon!!

Now on to my Marvel Dilemma.. XD

So I do get a lot of requests for the MCU movies.  Sadly, I have seen a couple already.  And even sadder... they are probably the ones people love seeing reactions for the most XD

Here is a chart of the 4 I have seen (I have also seen End Game, which isn't listened in this image).

I haven't seen any beyond End Game.

I guess my question is... is it still worth me doing them? XD I am all up for it, but I am a little worried some will be disappointed that I have seen most of the 'team up' movies already. I would never fake a reaction, so am asking if you guys think there is still a lot to experience from the earlier movies.

Thanks for any feedback on this, guys! I can't believe the amazing support and help you guys have given me over the passed couple of months! Sorry for the wall of text!! XD

It is worth watching Marvel Phases 1-3, even though you have seen those four movies. Please watch them in timeline order and not release order. Watching them in timeline order means the post-credit scenes are jumbled up, which is okay. There won't be any spoilers, and they'll still be enjoyable. You benefit from being exposed to everything as it happens and not getting too familiar with any particular character before you get introduced to new characters. For example, getting 3 Iron Man movies and 3 Thor movies before you get 1 CPT Marvel movie can lead to a sense that she is an underdeveloped character, whereas watching it in timeline order will ensure that the proper seeds are planted and grown with the appropriate care at the proper time. I hope you embark on the journey. It is gratifying, and getting to know all the characters and their stories will lead to fresh tears, laughs, and emotions when you watch the culmination of the entire Endgame saga. As for all movies/shows after Endgame, there are ups and downs and too much to review here and now. Start with Phases 1-3, and then you'll be primed for the opportunity to explore more.

Ori_gina_lart

I think it would be good to watch fantastic beast and end the series before starting something new. ^^ And i really hope you will get into Marvel 😍

Amanda Levy

I've left a few suggestions on the community page, would it help to consolidate them here?

Ollie Newey

In regards to the MCU, even with you seeing what you have, you will still experience a GREAT deal from all of the others, and if you watch in timeline order, you will get a much better pay off in the ‘team up’ movies, as you get to know each character so well! I’d love to see your take on them!

Guy

The Promised Neverland season 1

ray

Subtitles aren't really a possibility for him, so all anime would be DUB only ;) Plus, I believe TPN might be a little too horror-ish for him but idk ;p

Guy

While I definitely like sub better, I would still love to watch his reaction to the show even if it's the dub - especially considering his channel name. You're probably right, but my wife even got in to the show and she's as horror averse as they come. I prefer to think of the show as a thriller.

MarcusTheWeak

I'm surprised to see so many hunger games votes! Non of the cinematic competence or rich lore of lord of the rings and non of the charm of Harry potter, that's some sub Twilight standard YA fiction . I'd love to see your take on some animated stuff maybe at some point? Avatar the last airbender has some really well crafted stuff or Over the garden wall can be done in one sitting and is tonally gorgeous.

Karan Gidwani

Obviously all options are good. Personally have not watched all of them.. Regarding MCU - speaking from personal experience - I didn't not start from the beginning either as I was introduced through a couple of movies in the middle. Safe to say that when I watched from the beginning my appreciation increased for the ones I had already watched. And you can always either watch it in release order or chronologically. Any MCU fan wouldn't mind your rewatch reaction either. But even if you decide not to watch pre-Endgame content, I'd definitely recommend continuing on after Endgame and watching/reacting to the rest and ofcourse there are now MCU TV shows that are part of the storyline as well. So there is a lot of content.. but ofc do watch what pleases you the most.

Jasmine Davis-Taylor

I think you would enjoy the MCU journey & we would love to watch your reactions! It’s amazing to see how far everything has come. From Iron Man to Moon Knight and beyond!

solamarie

I definitely think it's worth finishing up the Fantastic Beasts films before moving on. Can't put a Hufflepuff-centric film on the backburner! If you're looking to break up the fantasy genre a bit, I would definitely follow up those with the Hunger Games. If you don't mind riding the fantasy train, then LOTR for sure :) As for the MCU, I definitely can't blame you for seeing the movies you have—they're iconic! And I know I definitely don't speak for everyone in this regard, but I would be more than willing to watch your journey through the whole collection. It's a big commitment—bigger than the Wizarding World and LOTR combined (not to mention all the Disney+ content!) But I think the continuity of the films and the pay-off of that is well worth it in the end. Plus, watching the films with a little context might make them more impactful for you personally on a rewatch :) Whatever you decide to do, definitely looking forward to a new adventure! Revisiting the Wizarding World with you has been so fun, and I can't wait to see what you choose to dive into next!! Take care, Veggie! And thanks for all the effort you put in for us! Wishing you all the best! xx

ray

Hm, yeah it is more thriller-like & I agree.. It's also such a shame s2 didn't follow the manga as the 1st one did, I remember being so excited for it (after a fantastic 1st season) and being so disappointed lol ;) I haven't watched it in dub so I have no opinion on it, but god there's a lot of anime I would've recommended could he watch it in sub, since most dubs arent really my taste ;p

Bipetyboop

It's really not "sub standard" though, MarcusTheWeak. I don't know if you have seen any of the Hunger Games or the Twilight films recently, or if perhaps if the reason you are surprised is because you are "lumping them together" because both movie-series had a large female/young adult following and/or came out in the years around 2010-2015. (I'm not saying you're doing that of course ^^ I just find that some people are.) Personally I think that the Twilight series is a quite unaware romanticization of toxic relationships, without much commentary that can spark disscussions around our own cociety. While the Hunger Games series is a dystopian commentary on civil war/revolution, classism, entertainment and the media - fronted by a female protagonist who is more actionable then Bella. So although I agree that Lord of the Rings have richer lore, and Harry Potter has more whimsical charm - i find calling the Hunger Games "sub standard" YA fiction, is simply not fair or an accurate representation of the series - even if you do not like it yourself. O:) And as you might have guessed; I would love to hear Veggie Gamers thoughts on the series (as well as Lord of the Rings, Over the garden wall and more down the line)

Tina Aikaa

Voted for LOTR, but all options are ok. For a one movie only, you have also talked about Studio Ghibli movies, I would love for you to occationally watch those between movie series. Love your content, will watch what ever you choose tho!

AyaaChann

Just a random question: Would you be interested in reacting to animated films? I personally love how animated films tell a story and the emotion behind it. And if you go back to handdrawn/older animation, you will appreciate the time and talent in making it.

Ana Mendes

I voted for Lord of the Rings, which are, in my humble opinion, the best movies of all time. I still remember being a young teenager and watching the Oscars live and seeing Return of the King winning all 11 categories it was nominated for. I couldn’t believe it! I still have that recorded on VHS. :) For Fantastic Beasts, I’d probably wait until the new one is released on Digital, that way you can watch all 3 consecutively. Hunger Games is a great series, so you can’t go wrong with that one either. As for the MCU, you should definitely watch the entire thing, and rewatch the ones you’ve already seen. Yes, it’s a big commitment, but the payoff is huge. Watching those previous films is what makes you fall in love with those characters. As others have mentioned, once you get to Spider-Man: No Way Home, you’ll need to watch the previous Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield movies, you’ll be glad you did - trust me. 😉 Whatever you decide, I’m here for it!

Jasmin

I don't think my heart can take the green mile 🥲 lord of the rings plsssss!!!

MarcusTheWeak

I group them together in my head because of genre, I'm not trying to generalise from the audience, though many of these series do fill a very similar hole in the market. Lord of the rings being a clear outlying example here. I've seen twilight more recently than hunger games and have read both series'. You make a good point about twilight's clearly romanticised abusive or at least obsessive relationships. When I'm comparing the quality of the two works it is very much with the express understanding that twilight's enjoyability to me comes from the over the top and unrealistic characters and settings despite the authors original serious intentions. Characters written into hunger games with the intent of being eccentric and weird never come across as weird as Edward or Bella who both seem to be totally bat sh*t when you actually think about them. My admiration of both the twilight books and movies is dependent entirely on the knowledge that the author was shooting for one atmosphere and hit a totally other instead and ended up building a world of terrible lessons and insane people. My issues with hunger games come with a certain dryness of writing and filming, they are better made movies and undoubtedly far better written books. I don't think either series is amazing but I know which I had more fun with. Hunger games is original enough and built on a sturdy foundation but it feels safe and formulaic, I can see why if it's your first dystopian sci-fi it might feel more than it is but in its context it doesn't have the authenticity I get from twilight or Harry potter or lord of the rings. It feels like a product of the universe it was written in, a corporate attempt to tick all the YA boxes not a project wrought of passion. Perhaps I'm being unfair and I'd think Harry potter was clinical and derivative if I was old enough to have read the earthsea books first. You definitely makes some good points tho :)

Xeph

This will be an unpopular opinion, but please don't do the MCU. Reasons as follows: Every reaction channel does the MCU It's insanely long and will push out other movies/TV A fair few MCU movies are just plain bad, people only like them because they lead into Avengers stuff which you've already seen.

Kristin Carter

Not interested at all in the MCU, but no matter what I'll be sticking around for the book club, and hopefully Lord of the Rings and Buffy sometime ❤️

Jacob sparks

I think most people came here because of harry potter videos so of course they want fantastic beasts. I can understand why you might like to try somthing else well your still doing the books. Single movies means you can stop them and start fantastic beats when ever your ready, but a series is always better to watch.

Fay Evini

Although I loved the HP reactions and I'm so excited for the book club, I'm not looking forward to you watching the Fantastic Beasts movies because aside from the first one, the other is pretty bad and the next ones seem to be even worse. It kinda ruined Harry Potter for me with all the canonic errors (I'm pretending Cursed Child doesn't exist). For stand alone, I'd love for you to watch Ghibli Movies

Fay Evini

Yess, this! LOTR and Hunger Games with Ghibli movies sprinkled in between would be perfect!

Elle

As someone who struggles to get into book series, Hunger Games is probably my favourite YA Book series. If you don't watch the movies, I highly recommend the books. Lord of the Rings is my second vote. Outside of that, Indiana Jones franchise and Batman the Animated Series are excellent if you've not seen them. 😊

Aidan Kemsley

Hi again Veggie, thanks fir all the content, just started the book reviews, so far so enjoyable, and it's really great to see you discover the bits they had to cut for runtime. You ain't seen nothing yet 😉 So, first choices for me in your list would be LOTR and Hunger Games, Green Mile is a great movie too, Fantastic Beasts the first was not bad, the second I thought was meh. Personally, I wouldn't touch the Twilight movies with the muddy end of a barge pole, and I've seen them all (ex-gf), but that's just me. As for other suggestions, for series Firefly (again) I think you'd love and although it was cut off in it's prime, it got a pretty sweet movie to tie it all off, Serenity, and if you haven't seen them (though I'm guessing chances you haven't are slim), or just because it gets surprisingly little cover on You Tube and I think more people would love it as much as I do, Spaced and League of Gentlemen (BBC series, not the movie). The MCU is amazing, but by now I get it is a pretty huge commitment. Not all perfect, but there are many great performances and movies among them, it's a whole universe (almost literally) to enjoy. Other movies (but these may be ones you've seen, not sure), pretty much anything by Taika Waititi, but definitely What We Do In The Shadows and Jojo Rabbit, The Guard with Brendan Gleeson (although not for the whole family). Live, Die, Repeat is good popcorn fun, Dark City is an underrated sci-fi cult classic, Dredd, the latest one with Karl Urban, NOT the Stallone one (still traumatised). And I'm guessing you've seen the Cornetto trilogy? If so, have you seen Baby Driver? (yes I know it has "he who shall not be named" in it, and I'm no more a fan of his than any of you, **** that guy, but it doesn't stop Seven from being a great movie, and Baby Driver is amazing too). Also, almost definitely seen but Aliens? Anyway, sorry for the ramble, thanks for all the shared fun, and good luck choosing among all these valid opinions 🍀. I will look forward to it whatever it is (apart from Twilight, sorry fans of the series, glad you enjoy it, but I'm never going back)

Annie

Yeah I’d rather he didn’t touch Fantastic Beasts at all, and The Cursed Child even less. They’re abominations.

Aidan Kemsley

Only just noticed you specifically said not TV series 🤦. So you can ignore all that section, I'll just spam you with it again if/when you do ask us re series. I don't feel stupid at all.

Elle

I completely agree. As someone who's already seen them. Nearly all of them in cinema as they're a very modern franchise that's overrated in a lot of aspects. The issue is there's so much content to react to from MCU it will get boring. I'm experiencing a bit of MCU Fatigue you see, the only exception to this was Spiderman No Way Home which is absolutely fun. They're not the worst, more they're just bland. If he wants to see anything superhero related, DC Comics is the way to go, specifically Animated content as they're really underrated and overlooked.

Elle

Overlooked ones would be a good choice, Help I'm a Fish is really really lesser known.

Annie

I think the first two Narnia movies would be a good fit for you. They were released around the same time as Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings and are based on British books that were fundamental to the fantasy genre. And everyone needs to experience that soundtrack at least once in their life.

ray

I would love some animated movie reactions if he like as such ;)

ray

If you're interested in doing something MCU-related, which might not be the movies themselves bc of how many there are, how much it might overtake other movies, etc. I'd recommend watching the newest Marvel show; Moon Knight. It's a 6 episode show, so far only 2 episodes are out though, but it's one of the best things Marvel has ever made. (Starring Oscar Isaac & Ethan Hawke) The reason I'm recommending this is because Moon Knight makes sure not to "tie in" to the MCU, so you don't need to know anything from the previous movies and shows to watch it, plus you'll then be watching something Marvel-related w/o going through the entire franchise. Though you could react to the movies in your own time, and perhaps do a top3 or top5 wanted mcu reactions poll, to see which ones are most wanted..?

BeckyB00b

No matter what, I’ll be sticking around for the book club for sure! Have you seen Titanic? A surprising amount of people haven’t watched that masterpiece.

Elle

People haven't seen Titanic? 😦

Michaela

I'd personally love to see Fantastic Beasts (the first one, I'm not too fussed about the second) since it features a wonderful Hufflepuff whom I think you'd love :) Other than that, I'm happy to go along on the ride with whatever takes your fancy. If you plan on taking on LOTR, the extended versions are very much worth your time. As for the MCU, if you don't want to commit to the entire franchise I'd recommend Thor Ragnarok if you're looking for some zippy humour and Taika Waititi is a brilliant director. The Green Mile is a great one. If you don't mind other tearjerkers, I'd suggest Grave of the Fireflies (by Studio Ghibli), Miracle in Room No.7 (the original Korean film and is woven in with comedy), and A Silent Voice (another anime). If you want something more uplifting, perhaps Dr Strangelove (a Kubrick classic) or Harold and Maude.

Elle

Always get chills from the opening music on the train. 🎶

BeckyB00b

I’ve watched quite a few YouTubers reacting to Titanic for the first time. It’s an absolute must for everyone to watch. It’s a cinematic masterpiece. Also, the behind the scenes stuff is amazing too because barely any of it was CGI.

Michaela

Oh, and you'll probably see a lot of shade thrown at Cursed Child. I hope that doesn't completely put you off. I still eyeroll at the script so I 'd suggest staving away from reading it. However, seeing it on stage is a fantastic theatre experience and one I'd highly recommend, especially if you can score decent seats (they also run a weekly lottery for the London show).

Shawna

Dead Poets Society with Robin Williams is absolutely fantastic, one of my absolute favorites.

Zack King

As someone who is a HUGE MCU fan, I would say doing MCU movies is ABSOLUTELY 100% without a doubt worth it. You've already seen some of the best pf the bunch, but there are a lot of good movies you haven't seen yet, and also there's a lot of references and things you'll catch the second time through that you didn't pick up on the first time you watched them because you just didn't have the background going in like you need to in order to pick out all of the cool details in the movies.

Otso Casey-Stewart

I won’t lie, fantastic beasts is definitely not my favorite but I look forward to seeing you react to a more hufflepuff -centric story hehe

Otso Casey-Stewart

please god don’t even bother with the cursed child though :,,,,) if we ever needed additional evidence that jk rowling needs to leave Harry Potter alone (other than her rampant transphobia, ableism, antisemitism, fatphobia, etc etc), the cursed child is it

kayyyyooo

i think it’s still worth it to watch the mcu, there are a lot of great movies you haven’t seen that will add context for the movies you have!

Maria

Would love for you to do LOTR, one of the greatest series ever. You could always add on the three hobbit films as well. :) As for MCU, I would be so hyped for you to watch them from the beginning. Lots of great stuff after End Game too. But it gives so much more weight to IW and EG if you watch the characters from their starting points. If it’s one thing MCU does well, it’s character development and communication/relationships between characters. Would 100% watch reactions where you get to fill in the gaps!!

Avifor

Personally not interested in LOTR, hope to see Hunger Games sooner than later this year then.

randomguy

if you are interested in more fan films the "Voldemort Origins of the heir" is probably the best i highly recommend it. Apart from that maybe Pirates of the Caribbean,Rush hour,Men in black,Ice age or Madagascar if you are intersted in some animated movies. Those are the movies i search nowaday most after Harry Potter. Or if you like Tom Hanks movies, Captain Phillips and Sully the miracle on Hudson are great. Also my favoruite that i never ever found reaction to altough its not Tom Hanks but big names as well is Everest, its a true event based drama/catastreophy movie with most on sight captures wich is awesome.I am a hobby hiker and i never will try everest at all,but mnabye to base camp hike once,i love that place, and in the movie you literally can see its really there. Of course the climbing part is not but they honestly hiked to the basecamp for the movie wich is amazing. I would also like some catastrophy movies, there ar3e some descent ones and i usually love the genre, but true there is a lot of nonsense movies. Cant wait for the book review, thank for your content :)

Hilde

I love Everest too!

Kat

Ooh yes, on the off chance he hasn’t seen it, wild be a great one x

Trish Phillips

In my honest opinion I would watch The Hobbit before Lord of the Rings gives answers to things that you will be asking yourself in Lord of the Rings. But it's your reaction channel , so I'll follow whatever you choose , love your reactions. The Green Mile is epic. Pirates of the caribbean would be another great series of movies you could react too. 😀

Bipetyboop

I do enjoy your thoughts on this! :D I can see where you're coming from, although I am of a slightly different bias, haha

TesseractHeart

I think the answer of which movie(s) to do next depends mostly on how you're feeling! I voted for the Hunger Games because it's really engaging and emotional, but it's also devastating, and maybe that kind of heaviness isn't something you want to do right now. So in the end it really should be up to you and what you're up for, but I do love Hunger Games and LOTR both and think either would be fantastic next choices.

emmainkeri

I can't recommend Cursed Child as it goes against the original series and makes zero sense, but the stage production was good. But apart from that... It was so bad I almost left the theatre.

emmainkeri

Honestly the Fantastic Beasts will make MUCH more sense after you've finished the book series, but I understand that it will take some time before you've read them all and you might not wanna wait that long. But maybe you could watch LOTR and possibly a few other movies now, and watch the three fantastic beasts movies once the newest (third) one is available for streaming?

LauMau262

I totally agree with the suggestion of watching the Hobbit too and went to the comments for that but you were there already :D Pirates is also a great series which I'd love to see someone react to!!! Also Narnia would be awesome ^-^

Benjamin Hütz

As hard as it will be to wait that long, but you should wait with fantastic beasts until after you finished the HP books

PaulaC

I agree The FB movies were made for people with book knowledge they never showed in the HP movies. So many reactors get so confused!

Shannon Elizabeth

Would love to see LOTR just curious if you considered doing the Hobbit series first?

Ian Graham

Titanic would be great.

Methanoutput

If you want to do a single movie rather than a series, i would love to see you react to The Naked Gun from 1988 with Leslie Nielsen.

Triene

I see some people saying to watch the hobbit before lotr but… I wouldn’t. The hobbit movies are “fine” and by all means please do react to them. But I would watch them after the lotr trilogy. They just have a different vibe. One girl’s opinion ^_^

Triene

Oh, and I’d still think it would be fun to do the MCU in order. Unless by the time you get to endgame you remember literally everything from when you saw it the first time, I think it would still be worth it watching the characters come up and come together in different ways! Plenty of marvel tv to watch now too! I saw someone mention Pirates here. Not sure if you’ve seen those but those would be fun for you to react to!

FandomReferenceHere

I think you’d enjoy the MCU, and the group movies would feel totally different once you’ve seen all the backstories!

NoProfileName

Defiantly think its still worth for the MCU. Also if you do end up doing the MCU it would be worth watching the Tobey Spiderman movies and the Andrew Spiderman movies sometime before you watch the Spiderman's after Endgame if of course you haven't already seen them.

Lena

Voting for MCU, but also recommending the Pirates of the Caribbean series. I second what others are saying about Fantastic Beasts being for after you've read the books, as it'd be a much more immersive and informed experience. Not sure if "informed" is the right word... just mean you know the backstories, the world building, history, mechanics, history etc.

Shoko

oh god that would be awesome!!

Shoko

lord of the rings all the way. its the best movie series of all time and will forever have the biggest place in my heart. i also recommend hunger games and pirates of the caribbean. it would also be amazing if u could do some ghibli movies in the future because they are all breathtakingly beautiful

Lovegood

LOTR and the Sherlock series would be great (voted for LOTR, but also wanted to vote for other). I loved the hunger games books but I thought the movies just weren’t very good personally.

William P. Esping

Fantastic beasts would be great, but I think it would be better once more of them are out. The second one isn’t as great since it feels incomplete and requires the 3rd one

Yannick Trapp

Well, you can't go wrong with anything mentioned. I would also love to see your Reaction to Pirates of the Carribean and Dune (2021) at some point. Definetly Shawshank Redemption too, since Green Mile is up for voting.

Kat

Happy with anything! Would love Fantastic Beasts though as just re-fell in love with the series after watching the new film at the cinema yesterday. I'm torn for Veggie though as I bet it would be nice for him to have his first 'potter movie' experience in a cinema and go see it there!

Clotilde

Are you open to react to animated movies or series? For example Arcane is an awesome mini series (9 episodes). It's an incredible story with a very dark tone and diverse characters with complex personalities.

Travis Terreault

A movie I think is highly underrated and think you'd not only enjoy but would touch your heart (in the typical disney way) is Brother Bear. Otherwise I enjoy all you're reactions, can't wait for the final helluva boss episode!

Makarios Reyad

For a man like you who craves detail something like the bbc series sherlock would be perfect or a film like the usual suspects

Holly

I think you should wait to watch Fantastic Beasts until you've finished the HP books.

Sofia

some other suggestions: Maze Runner, Arcane, twilight (just for the laughs because it's ridiculous), and pretty much any studio ghibli (like Howl's moving castle)

Mae

I think you'd enjoy LoTR (but don't start with the Hobbit series, watch them in order of release). Fantastic Beasts I'm sure would be popular (I only like the first one), but you might want to wait until the next film comes out so you can do them all at once. I'm sort of a hater when it comes to MCU or Hunger Games, so I can't cast a vote there. Personally, I want to suggest Pirates of the Caribbean (the original three movies) and Sherlock BBC! I really think you'd love both series, and in browsing the comments they seem to be popular. I'd also love to see a reaction to the Hamilton film, if you wanted to do a one-off! People get geeky about it so I think it would do well, plus it's always fun to watch a Brit react to old king georgeg

Mae

I liked the books when I read them (as a YA myself, tbf) but found the HG movies so ehhhh

Mae

I want to add though that you're going to get so many varied responses from varied camps when you ask for suggestions, which is great for getting a read on what people want, but make sure you watch things that you want to! The audience will follow :) Thanks for all the effort and care in your content!

Wonderxfull

Oooo great options! going to go with LTOR and the hopefully followed by The Hobbit just because its up the same ally as HP and Fantastic Beasts series is not done yet if you want to watch that one. Gotta say I love Hunger Games but it doesn't hold a candle to LTOR for me. There are many, many series or stand alone movies that I could recommend but I would be here forever. I really enjoy your reactions and I am looking forward to whatever comes next!

Chels

My vote definitely goes to LOTR! Need to continue on the high of HP! Fantastic Beasts is worth a watch but, well...you'll see yourself about those films. Quite anxious for you to see the 20th anniversary as well. I'm just a bit biased for LOTR, the best adaptation of all time! But ONLY the extended editions, there is a HUGE difference. The DVD extras are sublime, I wouldn't mind a reaction to just those, TBH. You definitely should react to MCU from the beginning, I don't mind that you've seen some already. It'll just flesh out everything all the more. Godfather, Star Wars and/or Indiana Jones would be great too. For a standalone reaction, I'd recommend Good Will Hunting!

Tiffany Dollard

I personally look forward to seeing ALL of these movie reactions! But I think a stand alone movie for a little break (absolutely LOVE The Green Mile!!!), then hunger games for a movie series that has shorter length movies, then the LOTR trilogy and then hop back into the Wizarding world with Fantastic beasts movies (you'll be doing the HP book club for people who want current HP reaction content to get by lol). If you do Fantastic Beasts last on this list it will give people a chance to go see the newest one and perhaps for it to become stream-able for those who don't go to theaters anymore...meaning maybe you'll be able to react to the first 3 instead of only the first 2.

Also as a side note....while I LOVE the extended versions of movies like HP and LOTR...if the regular length version is available on a popular streaming service (Netflix, HBOMax, STARZ, Disney+, or Hulu) I wish you would do those. I'm a hardcore HP fan and own over 900 movies on DVD and bluray and even I don't own the extended editions of HP or LOTR, so I personally would prefer reactions to whatever length versions are available on streaming services. :D

FYI, the extended LOTR movies ARE on HBOMax! :)

I second Sherlock for sure

I’m sure others have probably mentioned in earlier comments but it’s not uncommon for reactors to split their LotR reaction videos into multiple parts per movie since the extended editions just have SO much to react to. That way they can fit more of their reactions in their YouTube cuts without it being blocked. Also, a word of warning about things I’ve seen in other LotR reaction video comment sections - LotR fans are just as passionate as HP fans. Some reactors have watched LotR directly after watching HP and, as Rowling borrowed a lot from LotR, they kept equating the two and the comment sections got really unfriendly really quickly. If you do make correlations between them I’d recommend mentioning clearly that Rowling was inspired by Tolkien. 😬 Personally, I love both series but think that LotR is superior and some of the best movies ever made and I’m looking forward to your reactions!

What about the Chronicles of Narnia series?

Hunger Games movies, marvel, Twilight. Shawshank redemption, misery with the green mile as they're Stephen king novels. I would love for you to start tv shows.

The Hunger Games can become the next book club after Harry Potter (though it'll be a while). There is so much to discuss, even though I believe it's one of the best book-to-movie adaptations.

Hazelle

Agreed! The books are deceptively simple and quick reads but the discussions they can inspire are nearly endless and timely.

Dear Laaaaawdy! *PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE* watch The Green Mile!

Mascha Brosius

Definitely watch MCU! The best thing about the MCU are not the movies on their own but how thy intertwine with each other. You'll have a totally different experience watching those movies when you watch it all in order. I am really excited to see your reaction to all of these movies you mentioned. Would love to see you react to Pirates of the Caribbean too (#JusticeforJohnny<3)

Diana Woods

Oh and for other standalone I'd say 'White Oleander', 'Fight Club'(obvs), 'Lincoln Lawyer' or 'Welcome To The Rileys'! Pleasesums?

Simon

Hunger Games are great yes and definitely next but he should do Fantastic Beasts to continue on with the Potter theme. Then Maze Runner if he's gonna do Hunger Games.

Dara Jeeling

I can live with all of those! Since NO twillight... I kind of like fantastic beasts - even though I hate how they tried to do fan service and adding characters out of timelines... I am also NOT a fan of Cursed child - that book /play does not make any sense regarding JKRs own time travel laws (I will NOT watch the movie if it ever comes out - since I am not watching a Snape not played by Alan - full stop) Green Mile... okay... I can do that with loads of chocolate and tissues. Other then that... Any Alan film

I’d be totally cool with you starting the mcu and just letting us know which you’ve seen and what you recall from each. I feel like most people have seen a smattering of movies unless they were fans before the movies started coming out.
